Chapter 192 - Chapter 192

Reincarnated as a Fisherman and a Dad Chapter 192

"Papa! Let's go pway with sand!" Right when Karlos was about to sit down and take a rest, his little daughter climbed onto the couch and tugged his shirt.

"Pa, pway outside!" Iñigo also said. Iñigo had a hopeful gaze as he stared at his father.

"You want to go to the beach?" Karlos asked the twins.

"Yes!"

Now that the twins had experienced the joy of playing outside with other children, they found it fun and exciting. They had been eager to go outside and play with the neighborhood kids.

However, since they were the first children born in the family, Maya had taken care of them very carefully. She didn't like them going outside because she was afraid they might get hurt. Maya had household chores to do, which meant she couldn't monitor her kids if they left the house.

The best way to entertain them was to turn on the television and let them watch children's shows while Maya kept herself busy. Such was the life of a wife and a mother, it wasn't easy at all.

The children had realized that they couldn't convince their mother to let them go outside. But their father was different. Ever since they were young (they are still young, by the way), the twins acknowledged that their father was the entertaining one, as he always played with them.

And now, they were hoping that Karlos would let them go outside. They had promised their friends that they would bring toys to play with.

"Babe, the kids want to go outside and play," Karlos asked his wife for approval.

Maya glanced at the three of them. Karlos was a bit sleepy, while the twins stared at Maya with hopeful eyes.

"These kids..." She sighed. Arabella and Iñigo had already asked her to let them play outside, but Maya hadn't agreed, which had made them a bit sad. She had only pacified them by turning on the television.

"If you're going to watch them, I'll let them play outside," Maya answered.

Then, the twins stared at Karlos with their adorable eyes. Karlos actually wanted to sleep, but he prioritized his family over himself. Karlos was that kind of guy. If he had to sacrifice his own comfort for the betterment of his family, he would gladly do so.

Karlos glanced at the clock, and it was 4 pm, the sun was no longer that strong and painful.

"Alright, let's go outside."

"Yay!"

The twins immediately looked for the toys they wanted to bring.

"You want to bring these?"

Iñigo chose the toys carefully and even helped Arabella with her choices.

"Yes!"

"Let's put them into a basket then."

With that, the twins walked slowly, and Karlos followed them carrying a basket filled with toys. The twins didn't get tired because they were too excited.

Other small children saw the basket of toys and looked at it jealously. Some of them followed them to the beach.

"Uncle, can I get a toy?"

A young boy, whom Karlos recognized but didn't know the name of, asked a question.

"About that, you have to talk to my twins to see if they want to share their toys or not."

The twins heard their conversation, and Iñigo made his move. He asked his father to put down the basket so he could choose a toy. Most of the toys he had taken out were bouncy balls.

"Here."

Iñigo gave one ball to the kid.

"Wow, thank you!"

"Fwiends?"

"Yes, we are friends from now on!" the kid said.

Karlos was speechless... He couldn't believe that Iñigo would buy friendship using toys.

Whenever a little kid would jealously stare at the toys, Iñigo would give them a ball, which increased his circle of friends. The toys he took out were low-quality and something that Iñigo didn't care much about anyway. He had no problem giving some of them away.

Arabella also learned her brother's tricks, but she was slightly hesitant to give away her small dolls. They were beautiful.

But as she watched Iñigo and his friends laughing and playing with the balls while running along the beach, she decided to let go of her hesitation. With a bitter smile and close to shedding tears, Arabella found a little girl who was staring at the dolls longingly. She decided to follow her brother's tricks.

And sure enough, she got a friend. After doing it twice and thrice, Arabella realized that giving dolls to other kids was not really that bad. Iñigo had told her to bring the low-quality toys, and Arabella was relieved that she hadn't brought any of her good toys... She realized that manipulating people was not that hard.

Since then, the kids became so good at socializing that Maya had headaches because the twins would always ask her to let them play outside.

Karlos watched his twins play with the other children. They were innocent and happily running around with toys in their hands. He couldn't help but smile.

"...I want to drink some beer." He had nothing else to do, so he might as well relax.

There was a small store on the beach. This store actually sold ice early in the morning for the boats to use in storing fish. Karlos bought blocks of ice from them now that he used the mid-sized bangka.

However, the store couldn't satisfy every boat as their ice immediately sold out. Fortunately, Karlos had never experienced running out of ice from them.

"Can I buy a bottle of beer?"

"12 ounces?"

"That's right."

"That would be 20 pesos."

Karlos paid the money and grabbed the ice-cold beer. He took a long first gulp and sighed in satisfaction.

A nice beer in the afternoon... definitely something an alcoholic would love.

He found a nice seat and drank his beer while his twins were playing with the other kids. They were clearly happy, giggling with their friends.

Karlos smiled. He couldn't help but feel emotional. In his two lifetimes, he had always been alone. He had had no one to be with. He had felt like his life had no meaning.

But he was saved by Maya, and now they had two lovely children. Karlos was truly blessed to have them in his life.
