Let's get into the power system. In this world, we have a concept called Vita.
What is Vita?
It's a form of magical power currency.
Currency?
Yes — from Vita, you can buy abilities.
What the hell? Buy an ability?
But 1st find it..
Yes. You heard right.
Every person in the world can be tested at the ages of 9, 11, 13, or 15. If no Vita is found in your body, it means you can't become a mage. That's final.
Why Test on the Day After Your Birthday?
The test occurs on the next day of your birthday.
Now, what's the logic behind that?
Here's the reason:
At the time of your birthday, the celestial organization (think of it like a cosmic alignment) is the same as the time of your birth. But when you sleep that night, and the same celestial pattern moves away, it can change your inner state — and that's how some people develop Vita overnight.
That's why the test happens the next morning — not on your birthday.
Vita Power Levels
Here's how Vita defines your rank and role in the world:
Vita Score Title
200 or more -- Police Mage
400 or more-- Army Mage
800 or more Sub-Elite
1500 or more --Elite
3000 or more-- High Elite
4000 or more-- Commander Elite or Ace
5500 or more-- Commander Ace [generally they rule the city as leader or boss]
Each rank comes with authority, missions, responsibilities, and access to stronger abilities.
Vita Test & Ability System
The test occurs when you chant some words while placing your hand on a white orb. If the orb glows, it means you have Vita.
To see your Vita level, someone places a white sheet in front of you, and it reveals your Vita level.
What Happens After You Get Vita?
Is it that easy?
Yes… and no.
Every ability in this world has 5 stages of awakening.
Let's say you have 600 Vita, and you buy an ability that costs 550 Vita. That ability could be something like "Hunter Fighting Skill." Great — you now own it.
But you're only at Stage 1.
To reach Stage 5, you have to train that technique. You can use rituals to awaken stages faster — but it's hard, and there's much more to it than just power.
Can You Increase Your Vita Later?
Answer: Yes.
Once you get Vita, there are three methods to increase it:
Training — push your body and soul to their limits
Sacrifice — giving up something meaningful or vital to gain more power
Bloodline — if you belong to a special lineage, your Vita can increase naturally over time
That's how the core power system of this world works — earn your Vita, buy your ability, and train to master it.
Types of Abilities You Can Choose
Now, what kind of abilities can you have?
Well, there are many types of abilities you can choose from.
You can be a:
Hunter
Seer
Summoner
Healer
Fortune Teller
Far-Sighter
Elemental
Manipulator
Domainer
...and many more that you'll discover as the story unfolds.
What Is Bloodline?
So, what is bloodline?
A bloodline means that someone in your ancestry — maybe hundreds of years ago — trained so hard, sacrificed so much, and reached such a high level… that his power still flows in your veins.
That energy, that spirit — it's still around you, helping you reach higher, even without you knowing..
Do you Have More Than One Ability?
Yes — if you have high Vita energy, you can choose two or more abilities.
For example, you can be both a Summoner and a Seer.
But remember — this is only possible when your Vita level is high enough, because each ability has a different cost.
So, just buying the abilities is not enough.
To reach Stage 5 for each of them, you'll have to train both. You work on all the abilities you have — otherwise, they will remain at lower stages and won't show their true power.
Some say Vita is the fairest system ever created — the path to becoming a hero. But there are whispers… of those who paid in blood and never returned, of abilities that kill their wielders before they reach Stage 5. No one speaks of it in public."

This is something coming straight from my heart. To clarify, this story holds much more than what you will read in the early chapters. The world of this story is far bigger than what you will first see.
In this journey, you will meet kings, pirates also known as Tideborn, mysterious creatures, the mythology of the mage world, and many more things yet to come. If you are someone who wants everything to happen quickly, then this story might not be for you.
There are many stories out there that throw in dragons and different creatures as if they are nothing special. But in my story, everything has its own mythological significance. Everything deserves its proper build-up.
This is a long novel. At the start, you may see the MC as weak, powerless, and just hoping for his moment. But that's not the case. The MC will rise, though it may take some time. And when he finally awakens his mage abilities, the world around him will feel far MORE grander. That's exactly how I designed the concept of Ash Phantom.
