Chapter 16 - Episode 16: “The Man in the White Coat”

Scene opens — inside Aran's mind.It's not a dream. It's a memory.

Everything is cold. White. Empty. Blinding lights shine from above like prison lamps. His arms are stretched, chained. Tubes run through his veins. Wires dig into his skin. His chest rises and falls slowly — not from breath, but from life support.

He's hanging like a failed experiment. A weapon, half-finished.

Footsteps echo. A shadow approaches.

A man in a white coat steps forward. But his face is blurred. His eyes are missing — hidden behind a blank medical mask and dark lenses.

Doctor (smiling beneath the mask):"Look at you, Subject A-01… Still alive. Still stable. You are a miracle."

Aran (weakly):"...Why… me…?"

The doctor laughs — loud and cold.

Doctor:"Because I needed a weapon. Not a soldier. Not a machine. A virus… that walks like a man."

He walks slowly around Aran, trailing his fingers along the machines.

Doctor:"This virus… it wasn't made to destroy. It was made to free this world."

Suddenly, the doctor leans close — face just inches from Aran's.

Doctor (softly):"No more war. No more control. No more weakness. This virus… ends everything that makes us human."

Aran (trembling):"You… destroyed everything."

Doctor (grinning):"Yes. And soon… you will too."

A montage flashes violently through Aran's mind:

Cities falling into chaos.

People turning into monsters.

Soldiers screaming.

His sister's face — the infection spreading.

The moment she died in his arms.

Back in the memory, the doctor whispers:

"You're not a man, Aran.You're a new beginning.A cure for humanity."

Back to reality — Aran jolts awake.

Sweat pours down his face. His heart pounds like a war drum. Liya and Shaggy turn sharply.

Liya:"Aran!"

*Aran grips the side of his head. His eyes flash — blue, white, then almost red. He's shaking.

Shaggy:"You saw something again, didn't you?"

Aran (breathing hard):"He was there… The doctor. The one who made me. He said… he's going to change the world with this virus."

Liya:"Change the world how?"

Aran (quietly):"By killing what makes us human."

Suddenly — Keira walks in. She's holding another drawing. This one is different. It shows a tall tower in the middle of a dead city — glowing red at the top, shaped like an eye.

Keira (softly):"I know where he is."

Everyone turns to her in shock.

Shaggy:"How do you know that?"

Keira:"He talks to me. In my head. In my dreams. And he's waiting for you, Aran."

Final scene:

The team looks out across the ruined landscape from the rooftop. In the far distance, beyond smoke and ash…

A black tower rises, pulsing with red light — watching.
