"Leon, wait!"
Irene extended her right hand to grab onto Leon's wrist. Holding him, she slightly nudged him, tightening her grip.
Leon paused his steps in the middle of the hallway, "not now Irene, we can talk once we are done here."
"Yes, that I understand, but are you sure you are not going to ask him something important?"
He noticed Irene's other hand reaching up toward his cheek.
"You understand there is no point in it, right?"
Leon turned his head away.
"And besides, I now have a clear picture of everything that went on."
"T-then you do not actually mean to meet him again, do you?!"
"Yes, I do."
He answered without a single moment of hesitation.
After unveiling the truth, Leon knew exactly who to approach for the answers.
Irene bit down on her lower lip, and for some reason, she felt her heart aching.
Having worked alongside Leon for so long, she understood his thought process really well, and she knew exactly what conclusion he had arrived at.
