Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – The Old Legend Ends, the New Legend Begins

Kaido descended from the sky like a blazing meteor, his dragon form wreathed in flame. The devastating fire he unleashed—Dragon Flame—crashed down with terrifying power.

Roger, Garp, and Rocks all felt their hearts tighten. If they were in their prime, they might have met the attack head-on. But after days and nights of nonstop battle, even legends could be worn down.

Their bodies were near collapse. Their minds foggy. One mistake now could mean death.

They barely managed to dodge.

Kaido's flames struck the ground, and in an instant, the mountains they had been standing on were reduced to molten lava. The sheer destructive force left behind was terrifying.

"Kaido! What the hell are you doing?!" Rocks roared from below, his body barely holding together.

Kaido, floating above in dragon form, looked down coldly.

"Since when did I ever say I was on your side?" he replied, his voice sharp and full of disdain. "You're all trash. Doesn't matter if you're the enemy or my own crew. If you die, it's your own weakness."

He didn't hesitate to insult Rocks D. Xebec—the most feared pirate in the world. To Kaido, strength was everything. Loyalty meant nothing.

Just like Charlotte Linlin, he only respected power.

Sea Circle Calendar: Year 1484.

The Island of Gods was wiped off the map.

The World Government and Marines covered up the truth. In the official report, they only announced one thing:

"The Rocks Pirates—the strongest pirate crew in the world—have been destroyed. Captain Rocks was defeated by Vice Admiral Garp."

From that day forward, Garp's name echoed throughout the seas as the Hero of the Marines.

As for the monsters who once served under Rocks:

Kaido – Bounty: 2.578 billion berriesEdward Newgate (Whitebeard) – Bounty: 2.544 billion berriesShiki – Bounty: 2.392 billion berriesCharlotte Linlin (Big Mom) – Bounty: 1.642 billion berries

Their power was undeniable. Their names became infamous.

But the Rocks Pirates themselves?

Erased from history—just like the Void Century. The government buried their existence. The old legend was over.

But in the shadows, a new one had already begun.

New World – Beehive Island.

Once a Rocks Pirate stronghold, now a lawless nest of rising monsters.

Only days after the fall of Rocks, those once under his command began to gather again—each with a new bounty and their own ambition.

Charlotte Linlin stood in the center of the chaos, arms crossed, sneering at the others.

"What? You lot have your eyes on Beehive Island too?"

This island was rich and lawless—perfect to build a new pirate empire. Many of the old crew wanted it for themselves.

"I'm not interested in this dump," Shiki said, puffing on a cigar. "My air fleet is already being built."

He turned toward Whitebeard.

"Hey, Newgate. You and me? We could surpass Rocks. Rule the seas together."

Charlotte Linlin grinned and winked.

"If it's you, Whitebeard, I wouldn't mind making you my first husband."

Whitebeard laughed loudly.

"Gurararara! Say that again and I'll toss both of you into the sea!"

Then his tone softened.

"Even if Rocks was scum, he did raise me. I'm planning to build a monument in his memory."

The monsters of yesterday were no longer under one flag. Now, each walked their own path.

Kaido.Big Mom.Whitebeard.Shiki.

They would no longer be known as mere pirates.

The era of emperors had begun.
