Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Destroy the Spaceship, A New Crisis!

To prevent the Zetarians from launching another attack on Earth in the future, there was only one option left.

Destroy their spaceship once and for all.

That was the only way to ensure they wouldn't come back. A preemptive strike to eliminate the threat before it returned. But there was just one problem—none of them had the power to do it.

The Zeta spaceship was massive, heavily armored, and floating out in the depths of space. Destroying it would require devastating levels of destructive force.

Even the Hulk and Thor, the strongest among the Avengers, weren't capable of such destruction. Their power, while immense, wasn't enough to vaporize something of that scale.

But maybe… someone else could.

All eyes slowly turned toward the one figure who had yet to reveal his full strength—Mr. Buu.

Or rather, the powerful being called Jack, who had come to assist them.

If anyone could destroy the alien spacecraft, it was him.

"Mr. Jack," the Captain said, stepping forward and meeting the pink creature's eyes. "Do you think you could help us destroy that spaceship before it escapes through the wormhole?"

The Captain had been the one to summon him in the first place. It was only natural he'd be the one to make the request.

Jack looked toward the spaceship, which was steadily retreating into the stars, trying to escape through the dimensional wormhole.

"Is that what you want?" Jack asked casually.

"Yes," the Captain replied. "If you're able to do it… that's exactly what we want."

His words carried a subtle undertone—if Jack couldn't do it, then the request would simply be forgotten. No shame in trying.

But Jack wasn't the type to pick up on subtle cues. And even if he had, he wouldn't have cared.

To him, blowing up a spaceship wasn't a big deal. If his "employer" wanted him to do it, he'd do it. If he wanted the entire galaxy destroyed? That too could be arranged.

Jack raised both hands and aimed at the retreating Zetarian spaceship.

To the awe of everyone watching, a massive glowing energy ball began to form between his palms. The sheer power radiating from it was staggering. Even from a distance, they could feel the destructive energy building.

The Captain and others instinctively tensed. If that thing exploded in the city, it would level everything in a fifty-mile radius. It was like standing next to a compacted sun.

The energy ball shimmered, humming with power.

And then—Jack hurled it toward the Zetarian vessel.

In the silent void of space, the ball of energy struck the ship dead-on.

A blinding explosion erupted, illuminating the stars. The Zetarian craft was instantly engulfed in the blast. When the light faded, there was nothing left but cosmic dust. Not a scrap remained.

Everyone stood frozen in awe.

Up until this moment, Jack had seemed more like a strange, gluttonous creature who could turn people into food. They hadn't actually seen him unleash his true power.

Now they had.

There were doubts before—uncertainty over whether Jack could really destroy the spaceship. He hadn't turned it into food, after all. Nor had he done that to any of the fallen Chitauri soldiers, which left the team unsure about the extent of his abilities.

But now?

Now they knew how foolish they'd been to doubt him.

The destructive force he'd just unleashed wasn't just immense—it was beyond comprehension. That was a casual attack, a lazy throw. And yet, it had completely obliterated the enemy's ship.

What would happen if he got serious?

Could he destroy the entire planet if he wanted to?

The idea sent a cold chill down everyone's spines.

Jack lowered his arms and turned around. His round face wore a carefree smile as he looked at the Captain again.

"All right, I destroyed the spaceship," Jack said casually. "Do you have any other requests?"

The Captain opened his mouth to say no—after all, the main threat had been neutralized. The spaceship was gone. The wormhole was collapsing. The remaining Chitauri foot soldiers had stopped moving.

Jack's mission, by all accounts, was complete.

But before the Captain could speak, Tony Stark interrupted.

"Actually, Mr. Jack," Tony said urgently. "There's something else. The city is facing another crisis. Can you help us deal with it?"

The team turned to him, surprised.

"Tony, what are you talking about?" Steve asked. "The Zeta threat is over. What crisis?"

Tony's face turned grim.

"Jarvis just informed me—some idiot in command gave the order to destroy the city. They think we've lost control of the situation and want to eliminate the threat entirely."

"What?!"

Everyone was shocked.

"But… we already won! Why would they still go through with it?" Natasha asked in disbelief.

Tony shook his head. "Because when they gave the order, Jack hadn't shown up yet. They didn't know the situation had changed. And now, even though we've resolved it, the weapon is already en route."

The implication was clear.

It was too late to call it off.

"Look!"

Hawkeye suddenly pointed to the sky.

Everyone looked up. In the distance, something glinted—a small speck flying toward them at high velocity.

Most of the team couldn't see it clearly, but Clint could.

"That's it," he said grimly. "The payload. A tactical warhead large enough to vaporize a city."

"Damn it!" Steve swore. "Didn't they even bother to check first?"

The Captain's face turned grim. If that thing detonated over the city, the damage would be incalculable—not just to the people, but to the environment, to the world itself.

"Mr. Jack," the Captain turned back to him, eyes filled with urgency, "can you get rid of that thing?"

He paused, then added, "If possible… can you send it into space before it explodes?"

There was no way to let it detonate here—not even in a remote forest or desert. The fallout alone would be catastrophic.

The best outcome would be for it to explode far, far from Earth.

Jack nodded, his expression unchanged. Then, to the shock of everyone watching, he placed both hands on his stomach… and tore off a chunk of his own flesh.

Everyone recoiled, startled.

Jack tossed the mass of pink flesh into the air. It flew like a missile toward the incoming weapon, expanding as it moved. The flesh suddenly grew huge—larger than a truck—just as it reached the payload.

Then, it wrapped itself around the entire warhead like a cocoon.

The warhead detonated inside the mass of flesh with a muffled boom.

A ripple of energy pulsed through the air. Jack's pink flesh squirmed, absorbing the impact completely. Not a spark escaped. There was no explosion, no fire, no smoke. Just silence.

Then the mass shrank, wriggled… and disappeared into nothingness.

Everyone stared.

"…That's it?" Steve asked in disbelief.

It was done. Just like that.

Tony blinked. "I… guess that's it."

None of them could believe how effortlessly Jack had handled a weapon that could have turned Manhattan into a crater.

They had expected destruction, a blast in the sky, perhaps even a violent shockwave. Instead, there was… peace.

Jack floated down to the ground again and dusted his hands off, as if he'd just taken out the trash.

"Well?" he said cheerfully. "Anything else?"

The Captain shook his head. "No… nothing. You've done more than enough."

The team let out a collective breath of relief.

The threat was gone.

The city was safe.

Jack had not only destroyed the enemy spaceship, but had also prevented a catastrophic missile strike. In one day, he had saved Earth twice.

And all with a smile on his face.
