Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: The Earth's Great Crisis Solved with a Single Kick!

"Lieutenant Colonel Liu Peiqiang, what's the current situation?"

"Do you copy? If you can hear this, please respond immediately!"

The sudden voice from the communicator snapped Liu Peiqiang out of his stunned state. The Earth command center was anxiously awaiting updates. Every second mattered.

Liu Peiqiang took a deep breath, still overwhelmed by what he had just witnessed.

"A… a purple cat suddenly appeared beside me," he said into the communicator, still trying to find the words. "He said… he had two ways to save Earth."

There was a pause on the other end.

"And then? What happened next?"

Liu Peiqiang looked outside the observation window toward the purple figure now floating in space.

"Then… he just walked out into the universe," Liu said slowly, as if speaking would make the scene make more sense. "No space suit. No oxygen. No survival equipment. Nothing."

"…What?!"

His words caused an uproar on the other side of the transmission. Chaos erupted across the communication lines as stunned voices came through in disbelief.

For humans, exposure to the vacuum of space without protection was a death sentence. There was no surviving without a suit. No exceptions.

And yet, Liu Peiqiang had just claimed this purple being had stepped out into space unharmed.

They didn't doubt him, though—not entirely. Not anymore.

Liu Peiqiang wasn't the kind of man to joke, especially not during a global catastrophe.

"You said he looked like… a purple cat?" someone asked after the noise died down.

"Yes," Liu confirmed. "I suspect he's either an alien lifeform… or some kind of deity from mythology."

"Well," another voice replied, "I'd say the first theory makes more sense."

"Honestly, at this point, I don't care who or what he is," another person cut in. "If he can save the Earth, then he's our hero. That's all that matters."

"Lieutenant Colonel Liu Peiqiang," a commander said firmly, "please keep reporting Mr. Cat's actions. The whole world wants to know how exactly he plans to pull the Earth out of Jupiter's gravitational field."

"Understood," Liu Peiqiang replied.

His gaze returned to Beerus, still floating effortlessly in orbit, facing Earth. Like the others, Liu was curious about what this mysterious being would do next.

Even if he was an alien, how could he possibly help Earth escape Jupiter's gravity—just like that?

But the very moment Liu Peiqiang had this thought, his worldview was shattered once again.

Through the station's external camera monitors, he watched Beerus drift toward the planet. Compared to Earth, Beerus was minuscule—a speck of violet against a cosmic canvas.

And then, casually, Beerus raised his leg and kicked toward the planet.

Just one kick.

The next moment, something unimaginable happened.

Earth, which had been on the verge of being pulled into Jupiter's deadly gravity, suddenly lurched—shifting away from Jupiter at an astonishing speed.

"...It's moving!" Liu Peiqiang gasped. "Earth is moving away from Jupiter! We've broken free of its gravity!"

The command center erupted in a chorus of astonishment and disbelief.

"Lieutenant Colonel Liu Peiqiang, repeat that! What did Mr. Cat do?!"

Liu Peiqiang swallowed and replied, "This might sound ridiculous, but please believe me—I'm telling the truth."

"We'll believe it," someone said quickly. "At this point, we've seen the impossible happen. Tell us everything."

Liu Peiqiang nodded slowly. "What I saw… was Mr. Cat. He floated in front of the Earth and then simply… kicked it."

Silence followed.

No one responded for several seconds. The stillness in the command room was almost surreal.

"…You're saying that Mr. Cat kicked the Earth," someone finally said, "and it just flew away from Jupiter's gravitational pull?"

"Yes."

Liu Peiqiang knew how it sounded. Absurd. Impossible. Laughable.

But it had really happened—he'd seen it with his own eyes.

He couldn't blame them for being shocked. If he hadn't seen it himself, he wouldn't have believed it either.

And yet, it was true.

He had imagined many possibilities—perhaps Mr. Cat had a spacecraft with advanced technology far beyond humanity's reach. Maybe he controlled some planetary-grade propulsion system, or even a massive exosuit or mech.

But no—none of that.

In the end, the problem that had stumped the greatest minds on Earth had been solved with a single kick.

Was this the level of power possessed by extraterrestrial beings?

Or was Beerus truly something more—a divine force from ancient legends?

To him, Earth was no more than a soccer ball.

And with that one kick, Earth rapidly accelerated, breaking free from Jupiter's pull and returning to its proper orbit.

The crisis that had threatened all life on the planet was over.

On Earth, the news spread in an instant. As sensors confirmed the change in the planet's trajectory, panic gave way to overwhelming joy.

People ran out of shelters. Crowds cheered in the streets. Children laughed. Families hugged. Tears flowed freely.

The Earth… was safe.

In the space station, Liu Peiqiang felt a rush of emotions surge through him. His shoulders slumped as if a massive weight had been lifted. He smiled—his first genuine smile in what felt like an eternity.

Then, Beerus floated back toward the space station.

He entered through the airlock with the same casual confidence as before and walked up to Liu Peiqiang.

"Well, employer," Beerus asked, rubbing the back of his neck nervously, "what did you think? Was my performance... satisfactory?"

Liu Peiqiang blinked. Was this towering, god-like figure actually nervous?

The great being who had just kicked an entire planet out of disaster now looked almost… uncertain.

Beerus, a God of Destruction, anxious over a job review?

It was surreal.

But Liu Peiqiang understood. This strange being—no matter how powerful—seemed to truly care about fulfilling his task properly.

He smiled and nodded deeply.

"Satisfied?" he repeated. "I am more than satisfied. I'm beyond grateful. You... you saved our entire world."

Liu Peiqiang's voice trembled slightly with emotion.

"You've done something that no one else could. I don't care where you came from—alien, god, or something else entirely. Today, you became the greatest hero Earth has ever known."

Beerus' ears twitched with pleasure. He folded his arms, his tail swaying behind him, trying to hide how pleased he was with the praise.

"Well... I do try," he said, pretending to be modest.

Meanwhile, in the mission group chat…

Jack: "@Beerus, that was absolutely perfect. Mission complete. Earth has stabilized. Everyone is cheering."

Goku: "Whoa! That kick was so awesome! I've never seen anything like that!"

Krillin: "Dude... you kicked an entire planet like it was a soccer ball. I don't even know what to say."

Vegeta: "Tch. Show-off. But... impressive."

Whis: "@Beerus, congratulations. You showed great restraint and control. A clean, efficient resolution."

Jack: "@Beerus, are you ready to receive your star rating from the employer?"

Beerus straightened his posture and looked proudly at Liu Peiqiang.

"I believe that's up to you now," he said softly.

Liu Peiqiang looked down at the communicator linked to the interdimensional mission system. A new prompt blinked on-screen: "Please rate your thug's performance."

With no hesitation, Liu pressed the button: ★★★★★

---

A soft chime echoed through the space station, and Beerus' body briefly shimmered with golden light.

"Mission complete," Jack's voice announced in the group chat. "Five-star rating received. Congratulations, Beerus—you're now eligible for a level upgrade!"

Beerus grinned wide, his pride swelling.

"I told you I'd get that five-star," he said. "I don't mess around."

---

Back on Earth…

The image of the mysterious purple being spread across the globe.

Children called him "Mr. Cat," artists painted murals, and scientists tried—unsuccessfully—to explain the physics of what had just occurred.

For Liu Peiqiang, the memory of that moment—of the kick that saved the planet—would remain etched in his heart forever.

One being. One act. One impossible miracle.

And Earth lived to see another sunrise.
