Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Krillin—"Earthlings Have Limits, I Won’t Be One Anymore!"

Although Jack's item exchange list wasn't packed with mind-blowing treasures, one particular item made Krillin's heart skip a beat.

It was the bloodline of the Saiyans.

Ever since the truth about Goku's Saiyan heritage had been revealed, Krillin couldn't help but feel the growing gap between himself and his old friend.

Back when they were kids, their power levels had been relatively close. Sure, Goku was always a little ahead, but the difference was never unbridgeable.

Now, however, things had changed.

Goku had transformed multiple times, broken through limits again and again, and faced threats from across universes. And Krillin? He was still Krillin—an Earthling. A strong Earthling, no doubt. He'd even killed powerful enemies in the Pirate World recently.

But deep down, Krillin knew. When he returned home, his strength didn't mean much. He was no longer a contender among the top fighters.

In fact, as the so-called "strongest Earthling," he was constantly overshadowed—not just by Goku or Vegeta, but even by his wife, Android 18, and his brother-in-law, Android 17. Neither of them were technically Earthlings anymore, having been modified into androids.

This quiet realization had led Krillin to start thinking about retirement. He had even considered stepping away from martial arts altogether and living a peaceful, ordinary life. With Goku, Vegeta, and the rest of the Saiyans around, Earth was well-protected. His help wasn't really needed anymore.

"People from Earth have limits."

That phrase echoed in his mind. It wasn't self-pity—it was reality.

But now, seeing the Saiyan Bloodline available as an exchange item in Jack's stash… something inside him stirred. A long-suppressed desire roared back to life.

What if I could become a Saiyan too?

---

Krillin's heart raced.

He knew he'd never catch up to Goku or Vegeta, and he didn't expect to. But with the Saiyan blood flowing through his veins, maybe—just maybe—he could push beyond his current limits. Maybe he could stand taller, fight harder, and protect the people he loved with newfound power.

He might even reach the legendary transformation: Super Saiyan.

Yes, he'd be giving up his identity as an Earthling. But in his eyes, he wasn't abandoning his humanity—he was upgrading it, all in the name of protecting Earth even better than before.

Sure, the Saiyan bloodline was available in the group mall. But it wasn't cheap—one million points. Krillin currently had only 800,000 points.

There were other bloodlines available at lower prices, but none could compare with the power and potential of the Saiyan race.

He could try his luck with a lottery draw to get a rare or hybrid bloodline... but honestly, Krillin didn't have much confidence in his luck.

And while he had considered letting someone else draw for him, this offer from Jack gave him an even better alternative—certainty.

---

Krillin: "Lord Jack, I want to exchange for the Saiyan bloodline!"

Jack: "Confirmed."

As soon as the transaction was completed, Krillin's remaining lottery chance was converted into two million points, and the Saiyan bloodline vanished from Jack's stash—appearing instantly in Krillin's inventory.

A rush of energy surged within Krillin, even before using it. The bloodline was calling to him, promising growth, challenge, and transformation.

---

Goku: "@Jack, Lord Jack! If we want to trade lottery chances in the future, can we also exchange like this?"

Jack: "Yes. However, I should clarify—these are the only items I currently have available for exchange. If you plan to trade in the future, think carefully. Once these items are gone, they're gone."

Jack: "Some of these may not be useful to everyone. So if you ever receive a lottery draw, don't be afraid to take the risk. Who knows? You might get something even better."

Jack made sure to set expectations. The last thing he wanted was for others to come begging for trades later, only to find out his stock had run dry. Better to be upfront now.

---

Goku: "Got it! So, @Krillin, you're going to become a Saiyan now?!"

Krillin: "Yeah, that's exactly why I made the trade."

Vegeta: "Hmph. Who would've thought Saiyans would expand their ranks like this…"

Vegeta: "@Krillin, your choice was the right one. Even if you'll never match me or Kakarot, becoming a Saiyan means you now have infinite potential."

Vegeta: "That's way better than sitting on the sidelines and just playing support."

Krillin felt a mix of pride and embarrassment at Vegeta's words. Was that a compliment from the Saiyan prince?

Krillin: "@Goku, when I activate the Saiyan bloodline… will you teach me how to go Super Saiyan?"

Goku: "Of course I will! But don't expect it to be easy. It takes a lot more than just power—you need the right mindset."

Vegeta: "Heh. Don't fill his head with sunshine and optimism. Becoming a Super Saiyan isn't just about training—it takes rage, desperation, and resolve."

Still, Vegeta had already begun thinking of ways to help Krillin achieve his transformation.

He was already forming a plan in his mind—a brutal, emotionally charged trial that he was sure would force Krillin's evolution.

---

Krillin: "So it won't be easy… but it's possible, right? Vegeta, I'll be counting on you too!"

Vegeta: "Naturally. As the proud prince of all Saiyans, I'll guide you down the right path."

Piccolo: "...Why do I suddenly feel like Krillin's going to suffer a lot in the near future?"

Master Roshi: "Saiyan blood, huh? I wonder if I could become a Saiyan too?"

Goku: "Of course, Master Roshi! As long as you get the bloodline, you can transform just like anyone else!"

Tien Shinhan: "That's right. In theory, we all could become Saiyans now."

Beerus: "Oh? Fascinating. Are we about to witness a full-scale Saiyan revival?"

Whis: "Lord Beerus, why don't you consider becoming a Saiyan yourself?"

Beerus: "Hmm... tempting. Very tempting."

---

The group buzzed with energy. Everyone was excited by the possibilities that Jack's exchange system had introduced. What had started as a small offer had evolved into a game-changing feature—giving mortals, gods, and aliens alike a chance to redefine themselves.

---

Meanwhile, Krillin sat quietly, staring at the glowing vial that represented the Saiyan bloodline.

He hadn't used it yet.

But soon—very soon—he would.

The path ahead wouldn't be easy. Vegeta was likely going to push him to the edge. Goku would probably offer warm support, but even that wouldn't soften the brutal truth: Krillin would need to change everything about how he fought, how he trained, and how he thought.

---

But Krillin was ready.

He had felt helpless long enough.

He had stood on the sidelines, watching his friends soar past him for years.

That era was over.

---

Krillin whispered to himself, gripping the vial tightly:

"Earthlings have limits… but I won't be an Earthling anymore."
