As days passed by, I had this distinct feeling like I'm going to be hurt or something bad happened to me. The restless anxious feeling that someone is trying to kill me. I try to brush it off but yesterday night I slept with my watch and my heart beat was abnormal if this gets out of hand I could die.
My phone rang.
I turned and I was outside in the forest. It was dark with only full moon light slowing getting dark by the clouds. And am running to search a way out before whole moon gets behind clouds. And it became pitch black and I couldn't move an inch listening carefully the crickets and dried leaves flew across from the gush. I chill went down my spine as I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I woke up and my phone was ringing it was 12 in the morning.
It was Allan, I received the phone my consciousness still in the dream and tell me it's over I'm awake.
"hey, what took you so long." Allan.
"it's 2am" I spoke with a dry throat.
"Nora I bit of in the trouble. I would appreciate if you come and get me." Allan spoke.
"No. is there anything else." I spoke sturdily.
"hey, I have battery for only one call, and my guardian angel says no?"
"I don't live there remember?" I spoke.
"yeah true who said otherwise. Look I know it's going to take a long time to get here. But I need you. I don't have time so listen. Remember Mr. Park old storage I have renovated the basement. Next to a vase there is a mat under that a door with code 60608. Then keep walking on left in the storage and then I have marked glow in the dark paint." The phone cut off in the middle of conversation.
I won't go I lied back on the floor. " ugh so much for packing." I took my luggage modified the letter I wrote to mom. And drove to rescue Allan.
After a long journey I ended in Park's storage. I was 4 in the morning.
I was freezing and found Allan car not locked parked right next to it. His jacket and bag lying next to it and have eaten pasta and chips. He must have left in a hurry. I took his jacket and extra flashlight in the backseat.
"let's go" I encouraged myself to go inside. The basement looked much different from the last time. Everything looks fresh and nice. There were couple of vase but only one with a mat so opened it and there was thin flooring which was removable. How did Allan do it if he is inside.? I questioned myself.
I walked in and there was wine stored all over and there was three little way out. I kept my path on the left and turned off my flashlight. The paint Allan mentioned was visible. I followed the cave and it led to a big space in the cave and the trail stopped.
And my ring started to glow which alerted me. And I flowed my ring as a radar. It started to glow when I went left and light would fade away to the right. The cave was getting smaller and smaller. Will this lead me to Allan or something else?
I have been walking from an hour and light is getting brighter but no sign of Allan.
Allan was tied up and chained to the wall and was unconscious. The chains were old and and there were other chains. I woke him up and turned back a million times to check if there was anyone else.
"Are you alright." I spoke to Allan while my heart beating like a drum.
"Nora, you came. I was so sure you would ghost me too." Allan spoke.
"you are chained what happened.?" I asked.
" I have a key don't worry let's leave soon." He reached out to his back pocket and pulled a key. I helped him to get up and he limped a while and got alright. Through out the cave he kept looking around.
Then we reached the car and drove to nearest beach.
"looks like you can deal with the rest." I spoke wanting to leave this place.
"wait. That's it? Don't you want to know what happened?" Allan asked.
"no. I want to go to my grandma and drink the tea she makes." I spoke.
"wait. what kind of tea?" Allan asked.
I gave him a look to drop this conversation.
"aren't you tired you drove without rest and now you want to drive back in hurry. Just sit down listen to my story am sure you are hungry I will bring you a wrap. Then you can leave." Allan held my hands with a happy face.
"I am hungry I will eat then I will leave." I spoke.
And we walked to seats facing beach and he went to get wrap. In mean time I checked my phone full of missed calls from mom and dad.
"hello" I called mom.
"I was so worried." Mom answered.
"I wrote you a note." I spoke.
"yeah I thought it was one of my checklist and I threw it away, I read it couple of minutes ago." Mom spoke.
"oh I didn't want to wake you up." I spoke.
"it's alright. I missed your note. So is he alright?" mom asked.
"yeah he is chipper as ever. His hands are hurt though." I answered.
"Since you are there I think you should ask Allan to take Milam to the forest where he found you." Mom suggested.
"mom" I dragged.
"what do you have to loose. They will go there and you stay with Mike." Mom spoke.
"Alright send Milam. I will introduce him to Allan." I replied and hung the phone.
"here you go." Allan offered water and wrap.
"thanks. How is your hand?" I asked.
"a little bit bruised it will go away." Allan answered.
"my mom's friend is a psychic medium, Milam. Could you show them the forest." I asked Allan.
Allan got blank for a second.
"mike said he uncle knows the property owner's niece so she can put in a word for us." I continued.
"oh yeah sure." Allan spoke unsettlingly.
"are you alright?" he asked me.
"yeah. Just a few nightmares." I lied.
Things got quite and we finished our wraps.
"so why were you chained up." I asked.
"um Mr. Park asked me to look into the storage and they have been hearing a lot of things. I followed that entrance. Which was hidden by the way. the whole thing covered in sheets so hey all thought there was nothing. Beyond. then I went alone I wasn't expecting any company but a huge guy dragged me and tied me up." Allan answered.
" how did you get the keys." I asked.
"oh that? Mr park found that key in the storage and didn't remember any key of that kind. You know how weird it looked. After he left I did try to unlock and walked around to get the layout correct. I circled back, it was weird I could easily get out with you." Allan spoke.
"yeah weird." I replied.
"and there was this scary looking rat." Allan continued to talk.
My stomach was full and the beach was windy and peaceful and his jacket was comfortable enough for me to fall asleep on his shoulders.
I slept hearing his voice close to my ears and he started to softly pat my head to sleep. I never fell asleep so quickly having anxiety of nightmares I started to sleep irregularly. Now am just simply tired and want to sleep. I feel much calmer maybe the ocean maybe it's the driving long hours, or maybe the rush of wandering around the cave or maybe Allan. I slept peacefully till it was sunset, and birds chirping going to their home and the slightly cold breeze taking and the sound of the wave making my mind so peaceful. I opened my eyes and there weren't any nightmares. I Allan was talking on the phone.
" we will pick you up." He spoke on the phone. His hand still on my head.
"you woke up? Here drink up." He offered a smoothie.
"just water please." I asked with soft voice.
"here" he took it from his bag. And I drank still feeling like I could go back to sleep anytime and my neck hurts.
"Milam is here we should go pick her up. Do you want me to drop you off at mike's?" Allan asked.
"no. I think I will join you." I spoke.
We went to pick Milam and headed to the forest sure it eerie as I remember driving in my car to the forest in search of the mansion. And they reaching while sun started to set.
"Milam. I heard you were a medium. Is there anything attached to me or her?" Allan asked breaking the ice and getting straight to the point. While Milam went awfully quite ever since she stepped foot in the city.
"I don't see any attachments but there is some king of strong energy with both of you, I would say the same kind. Which is weird." Milam spoke for the first time.
"how is that possible?" I asked.
"I don't know. I have never seen something like this. If people get cursed by same thing or share same negative energy. I can't be sure because it's not a curse and it's purely evil but something very strong. Did you guys touch any cursed objects." Milam asked.
"we might have unknowingly." Allan answered.
"here I think I saw her car here next to that board. I found her running the other way." Allan showed the spot.
"he also found me with this ring." I gave it to her.
We got out of car and she asked us to step back. And walked and back and froth and continued with the EMF reader and other gadget and checked for whole two hours.
"do you feel anything weird?" Milam asked.
"No. actually I'm not scared at all." I answered.
"it must be because of something else. Or just a traumatic nightmare. I can suggest s priest to cleanse you aura. Nothing barbaric, just chanting and sprinkling water." Milam spoke.
And we headed back. She kept thinking deeply and Allan was also quite.
We reached to the airport. As we were leaving,
"Nora can I talk to you privately?" she asked.
"yes sure." I answered.
"I will be waiting in the car." Allan spoke.
Allan went back to his car
"I have seen you before in the George's office two years back." She spoke.
"yeah I used to visit a lot for a project." I answered.
She smiled warmly,
"you were so emotionless and strong mentally." She spoke.
I smiled awkwardly.
"not now though. Something changed you entirely. I don't know who or what made you like this but you have to take control of your mind. And I don't mean about the nightmares." She spoke with tone changed.
"I can feel that too. I thought it was my parents getting divorced and I moved to here to a unknown place. But I'm not sure why." I replied.
"anyway, ever since I stepped foot here, it feels so negative like whole town is curse or haunted. And the forest is filled with ghosts too many for the town started only a years ago. And Allan is keeping things from you I just say that. George and I talked to the owner, he said Allan suddenly requested to enter the property since they knew the kid they let him in. Nora they never hired him." Milam spoke. There's no need for her to lie. How many more times do I have to hear him lie to me.
" I will be careful." I answered.
Milan handed a chain with black crystal.
"wear this." Milam spoke and smiled.
"sure." I said.
She waved and headed towards airport.
Allan dropped me off near Mike's.
"Nora i have something to tell you. Mike and I visited Anna. I asked her if she knew any ancient things that could protect your mind. Or make less sensitive." Allan spoke in a strange way to be exact guilt.
"Did she know about it?" I asked.
"Yeah. She said there are couple of things that could help but she needed to know exactly what you were feeling. If you are ready we can go meet her tomorrow." Allan spoke.
"Yeah sure. You should have asked me before." I asked.
"Hmm. Anna was out of town she came back today." Allan clarified.
"Okay. Let's meet her tomorrow." I said.
"That means you are staying." Allan asked.
"Yeah for the time being " I answered.
"I should go sleep." I yawned.
"Yeah." Allan held my hand and kissed my forehead.
"If you can't sleep call me." Allan spoke. His eye little teared up.
After awkward two minute silence I left.
The next morning I drove Mike's college and met up with Anna and Allan.
"I actually looked into more books and i found many other ways to solve your problem. Could you tell me exactly what I'm narrowing down to?" Anna asked.
"Every night I have same terrifying dream it started after I left this place." I spoke.
"But that night actually happened when she first came in the town and somehow ended up in woods." Allan added.
"I didn't actually remember what I was dreaming but a doctor tried to make me remember what I was dreaming and from that time I can remember what I dream." I continued.
"So it started when you came here. The first day and continued after you left." Anna started to think hard.
"I think it was a curse. Or negative energy from attached to you." Anna spoke.
"Curse? Why couldn't she remember?" Allan asked
"I'm not sure. But I could suggest you to visit my aunt. She cut off our family and living alone in the old town. I will give you her address and say my name she might talk to you." Anna spoke.
"That's great." I spoke.
"I'm sorry Nora i didn't know it was this bad. Allan didn't say anything properly so I asked him to bring you here" anna apologized.
"It's alright. Allan didn't know either." I spoke.
" If you are interested you can perform ritual to forest goddess for protection." Anna spoke with excitement.
"We will talk to you aunt first." Allan spoke.
"Yeah sure. Let me know what happens." Anna joined her friends.
"So to her aunt's place." Allan looked at me.
"Yeah." I spoke.
We got on my car and i started to drive.
"Umm. Nora why didn't you tell me about nightmares." Allan asked.
"Didn't feel like it was a necessity. It's not like you know anything about it." I spoke knowing that he knew something about it.
"True. I didn't know. At least I could have given you a shoulder to sleep on. Gosh my shoulder still hurts." Allan's tone quickly charged.
"I drove here without sleeping to help you out." I spoke.
"I'm grateful. You can sleep on my shoulders when ever you want." Allan spoke.
"Thank you for your generosity." I answered speeding up.
"You slept so peacefully. Am I better than a pillow. Didn't look like you had nightmare." Allan asked.
"I didn't get any nightmares from that day. Maybe it's the but could we please drop it." I spoke being pissed off.
"Take left here that's her house " Allan pointed at the beautiful house next to full of abandoned houses.
We knocked on the door.
Anna's aunt opened the door.
"I was expecting you to be here sooner." A young lady in her thirties in a red velvet dress opened the door.
"Umm yeah?" Allan was spooked.
"I'm Becky Anna's aunt. Come on in." Becky called us in and directed us to the living room. It was plain and most of the pieces were removed and were not painted over or replaced.
" Can I get you something to eat?" She asked.
"No thank you."i answered.
"I know why you are here and I what is happening here." She spoke.
"As usual Becky the mysterious" Allan growled.
" Missing cat found it at last I see." Becky spoke to Allan.
Allan scoffed.
"Ah. Don't worry about him. Just an old fight." Becky answered looking at my puzzled face.
"Nora is it? I kind of like you. Poor thing getting terrifying dream every night and waking up alone the dark. How many times did this soul needed her lover next to her. God help you." Becky voice sharpened almost looked like a taunt.
"Yeah. But I didn't get nightmares after I came back though." I spoke trying to explain.
"You don't need to explain anything. I know what happened here. You walked into a curse. A curse never leaving certain distance from that place or a person. It's an ancient curse, never to be messed with." Becky's tone gradually became cold.
"Who would do such a thing" I asked.
"I know right who would do such a thing for a sweetheart like you. Well that doesn't matter. I don't think they had a grudge against you seeing you were never part of this town." She spoke.
"So what am I supposed to do."I asked Becky.
"Simple give back everything to ocean and erase your memory." Becky gave straight answer with a long pause.
"Or you can do a simple ritual and track down the second ring." Becky spoke.
" What is this because of the ring?" I asked.
"Yes. I don't know how you got hold of the ring. The ring itself is mysterious. It's powers are only know to people who have used it." Becky continued.
" There is a curse within the ring and the the place you drove off to isn't a good place. People who enter never come out. It's also a rare occurrence to appear. You were in wrong place wrong time. And a person can only enter once and never exit. Maybe that ring helped you to get out of that place." Becky drank some water.
"I rarely talk to people." She continued to drink water.
"There was this one place I visited once. It warned me not to touch it's core. I was young and stupid my friend and I touched it just to see what happens. She got terminally I'll and I was suffering from stage two rare cancer. It was a medical miracle to normal people's eyes but it was the rituals." Becky sighed.
"Should I perform a ritual?" I asked.
"Two actually one to cleanse your curse dream. And another one to find the white ring." Becky a spoke.
"White one?" I asked to reconfirm what I heard.
"Yeah. White and green ring should be worn together and one can find the other by being the owner of the ring. It changes color when you wear right. That means you are the owner. Wear both the rings. When you find suitable partner you can give them the white one." Becky spoke.
"How do you know so much about it. Just curious though " i spoke.
"I knew it's previous owner. She is currently out of town after giving up the ring. A story for another day." Becky's voice tightened.
"alright. So what should we do first?" I asked.
"Go to the forest. You can go without trespassing by the cave. There is a small waterfall get the water from there. And move to the spot where Allan found you and chat this three times." Becky handed over a note with a map and words in the back side.
"thanks a lot." I spoke.
"Sure." Becky answered.
"let's go" I looked at Allan.
"yeah" he answered and I left assuming he is behind me. When I turned over he was having a chat with Becky. The way they were talking it looked like they knew each other. And they were definitely having an argument and Allan came back angrily.
"what were you talking?" I asked inside the car.
"nothing just time and route." Allan spoke still looking at the house.
"do you know her? Don't lie." I asked looking at him. And he turned back looking at my eyes with surprise.
"yeah. Everyone knows who she is. I didn't know she was Anna's aunt." Allan spoke and it made me ease up that he admitted.
"she is called a witch here. Nobody dares to talk to her. She knows things that happens all around the town. We shouldn't trust her. I will check on this give me some time." Allan asked.
"alright" I started to drive.
Allan was out of it the entire time. It was long road with only us drive for miles but things changed as I noticed a black truck following us.
"Allan do you know that car?" I asked.
Allan and jumped and told me anxiously,
"Nora drive to the forest."
I turned to the left and headed to the forest on the map Becky gave us. After many turns we lost them.
"just park here. We have to go on foot." Allan took all his belongings.
I followed him.
"are we doing the ritual now?" I asked.
"Yes. They are here for the ring." Allan looked back and forth map and the forest which looked creepy at this point.
We followed a thick tree and we could hear the car and people talking and yelling. Allan lead the way and I followed.
"can't we just give it back. Anyway it's troubling me. I didn't know half of my problems were because of that." I spoke slowing my pace.
"No" Allan rejected my idea strongly.
" why?" I asked.
"Don't you trust me. Please let's do the ritual." He spoke in distress.
"You know what Allan I don't trust you. You have been lying and keeping things from me from the day we met. I can't go on like this." I stopped following Allan.
"the ring can't be passed on to the next person as owner if they don't die. You will be killed the second someone else becomes the owner. The ritual will make sure you are not killed with any unfortunate circumstances; it will keep you safe." Allan held my hand and pulled lightly to the direction of the cave.
"how do you know all that" I asked being scared.
"I will tell you everything once we are done. Now let's please let's do the ritual." Allan's voice shake.
"you say that every time." My eyes filled with tears.
Allan also started crying as he came close to my face and kissed me. The distant voice of men searching for us and the chirping sounds of the forest and the faint sound of waterfall everything faded and I wanted to be a fool and fall in love. After few minutes we both settled down the tears had dried up and we looked at each other as if we saw something beautiful for the first time and we couldn't take our eyes off. He pushed back my hair a little and wipe little tears.
"I missed you a lot. I will tell you everything." Allan spoke softly. I didn't know what to say. His not usual self-threw me off a bit. And I was blushing insane for the first time and my lips still feeling the pressure reminding me to kiss him again.
Allan held my hand and we walked to the water fall. And headed inside the cave in the waterfall. After few steps we found the place it was dark but the plants and bee lit the place. Soft glow covering the small waterfall and we lit the place with touch the place of covered with small bees and plants near the waterfall and the rest was rocks with cravings.
"here take water and repeat this." Allan handed over the map.
"Al ill ice et ken fee two chq" the words didn't t make sense.
"so how do we find the ring?" I asked.
"we don't" Allan spoke.
"I have it."
That surprised me.
"what? Why are we doing it then" I asked.
"This is actually to activate it. By activating it reveals the location." Allan pulled out the ring pure white glowing like the green ring.
"sit down we have a lot to talk. And this place can't be found easily.?" Allan spoke lying his bag down.
"how are you so sure." I asked.
"because only the person with ring can." Allan spoke.
We sat next to the waterfall with a glowing plant.
"where do I begin?" Allan asked.
"From when we met." I spoke.
"that would be romantic but that's not the start." Allan answered.
"My mom had this ring. She found a way to remove the ring before dying. This ring is both cursed and lifesaver." Allan's voice trembled.
I hugged him from the side, he smiled and continued.
"and she disappeared without warning. She gave the white ring to keep it safe. I was a little kid back then." Allan sniffed and held hands tighter.
"then I started to search for her. My mom told me many things about the ring. It causes certain changes in one's mind leading them to be a medium. It was too much for her, the ring can only protect the ones who wears it. She couldn't protect me from dangerous people and energy." Allan spoke.
"Becky." I was about to ask.
"I asked her about my missing mom. She didn't help and she was angry that I was the reason mom went missing. She was mom's closest friend, Becky being a witch and mom a medium they became friends. The whole town liked mom because she helped out a lot." Allan spoke.
"and how did we meet? I know you didn't find me by accident." I asked.
"I might have attracted you to this place. Wearing white ring also has some powers, altering fate and bringing your soulmate closer. My ring started to glow I didn't notice for a long time then I rushed to see it myself. I have roamed entire town checking if it would work or not. I thought it's not working but glowing made me chase you." Allan smiled.
"I didn't know what or whom I was looking for then I saw you running towards me holding the ring. When I asked you why you are in distress, you told me that you had to kiss me before time's up. You didn't give a chance to think and we started to kiss. It was hot, a memory only for me." Allan smiled.
"that's it?" I asked.
"Yeah. I don't know what happened, you fainted after we kissed. The rest you know how it went. I didn't know you would have nightmares." Allan spoke.
"I expected more. I am a little disappointed with your story." I spoke.
"want me to make it up with a kiss?" Allan came closer and lifting my back placed me on his lap, pulling me closer giving me tingle feeling. He kissed softly on lips and pulled back to look at my face blushing red. I bent forward and kissed him back and held his face and our body a lot closer.
Little did I know everything I had felt that day was a lie, my emotions were a lie , his words were a lie and his love for me was nothing but a lie.
They whole ride back Allan didn't let go of my hand. It was really romantic and I'm sure I have never felt those feelings before. Just holding his hand looking at him smile. We went back to Mike's house, I wanted to break up with him. Anna and Mike were standing in front of the house clearly disturbed.
"what's wrong?" Allan asked.
"get inside." Mike spoke with a stern voice.
We took our bags and stepped in. Anna closed the door and Mike saw the rings on both of our hands.
"don't tell. No no."
"it's not supposed to happen." Mike started to cry and sat on the floor exhausted.
"Are you alright." I asked.
"How could you do this Allan? God" Anna yelled at Allan furious face I have never seen her.
"You piece of shit, she is not your toy." Mike kept swearing. Allan kept quite didn't ask a word why they were cursing at him like he knew why they were angry.
"Can you guys speak up what happened. Why are you yelling at him?" I asked agitated what the reason would be, my worst fears right now was Allan itself.
"Allan is using you to get what he wanted. He never loved you." Anna spoke.
And everything came crashing down she must be lying, how does she know that in the first place.
"what do you mean?" I asked.
"The rings is not supposed to keep you away from your nightmare, it is to pull you inside. Get you trapped so that his mom can get out. That's how it works." Mike spoke.
"You will be pulled into the nightmare at midnight. In few hours. You can't get out unless someone finds the ring and takes your place." Anna spoke.
"what it's not true. My nightmare stopped when i returned. I don't have to go back. Allan you know about the ring right. You wouldn't." I started to cry as I looked at Allan's guilty face.
"there is a way to get out." Allan spoke.
"Then why is your mom not here." Anna asked.
"what do you mean?" mike asked.
"There is slight opening I can enter since I have the ring. And take her back." Allan spoke
"I know that solution. Except there isn't anyone who made it out alive. The portal will be open only for 9 minutes in that time you have to find her and bring her back. But that wasn't your objective was it. It was to bring your mom back. So you have to bring her and Nora and get yourself out of it in 9 minutes. Good luck with it. You need a lot of luck for that." Anna spoke.
"It's the only way." Allan spoke.
"It wouldn't be the only way if she wasn't involved with a psychopath like you." Anna spoke.
Mike hugged me tight, "I'm sorry I couldn't find out before. Am the one brought you to this town. I shouldn't have." Mike cried on my shoulder.
My brain is barely keeping up with their argument, Mike crying on one side and anna and Allan fighting on the other. And strangely I am feeling a lot sleepy. And my body is getting cold, uncontrollable shivers.
"Hey wake up, what's happening." Mike spoke I can feel him hands trying to wake me up but I have no energy.
"When the wolfs howl he comes for the ring." Anna spoke those were the last words I remember.
Now that I opened my eyes, it's all red and clouded with smoke.
"You are awake now." A soothing male voice much closer to my ears.
I opened my eyes completely and I could feel I'm sitting on top of him. The most handsome man I have ever met, his attire is elegant and neatly combed hair and his eyes just like the jade on my ring his lips are perfect red and smooth, gentle yet strong body. But dark aura surrounding him.
"are you not afraid of me?" he smiled a little.
"Should I be?" I asked with a cracked voice and a dry throat.
"No."
"do you know why you are here?" He asked.
"A little bit." I answered.
"Don't worry there's plenty of time to talk take rest for now." He and patted on my head.
"Allan will rescue me. At least that was the plan." I spoke.
"Oh that never happened before." He spoke.
"Are you going to stop me?" I asked.
"why would i?" he asked.
"I don't know." I spoke now getting irritated I don't know anything.
"I am not a bad person." He spoke.
"Saying that makes you suspicious." I spoke.
"um right it does." He laughed.
"can you tell me where we are." I asked.
"Solitude." He spoke in a sad voice.
"what?" I asked.
"my apologies, you are not from this timeline are you?" He asked.
"what do you mean?" I asked.
"This place is where my love and I spent most of the time. We are not together anymore so I am staying here." He spoke.
"You love her?" I asked.
"I loved her, not anymore. I got a blessing to be immortal because of her I thought true love can't be more blissful. I didn't know what she had done to get that blessing, killing hundreds of them to make us immortal. She told me everything she did it was for love. She turned bad I couldn't pull her out of it. I stayed here, and never went back." He spoke.
"Why was I pulled here?" I asked.
"You see there was another part to this ring a wand which kept intact the time flow and absorption. In other words, when we used to use it before, we could stop time and be here as long as we can, without anyone entering. My love got angry when I told her I will be staying here. She destroyed the wand thinking the place would crash but it had a different reaction. I don't know what criteria it takes once in a while people can enter if they have a both rings, this place can only hold two people so only one person can be pulled here. Their body age inside remains the same, while outside world moves on. When new person gets in person with less lifespan gets out, I'm immortal so I stay here." He spoke.
"how are you sure about the lifespan, it could be something else." I asked.
"I had a terminal illness and I was always the one who got out first. You might be right too." He answered.
"why did I have nightmares then. You never mentioned it." I asked.
"Someone forced it to merge. I'm not sure who, that's what Lucy was trying to figure out and got trapped. She mentioned how she got inside a mansion and nightmares. I hope she gets to do that since she is out now." He spoke.
"that's probably Allan's mom." I spoke.
"Lucy's son? She talked a lot about him." He spoke.
"yeah that asshole."
"hey we never introduced ourselves." I spoke.
"yeah. I'm Zuv." He spoke.
"I'm Nora. That's an interesting name. what does it mean?" I asked.
"It means eternal love in our language." Zuv spoke.
"that's nice" I spoke.
"Nora, is that you?" Allan shouted from far.
We both stood up as Allan approached us.
"That's Allan. I thought it was impossible to fit three people in here." Zuv spoke.
"Nora who is that , get behind me." Allan held a knife.
"he is quite rude isn't he. I guess this is goodbye." Zuv spoke.
"Nora hurry up we only got three minutes left." Allan approached.
"I'm staying here." I spoke. Zuv was surprised.
"is this about me lying to you.? We don't have time Nora." Allan spoke.
" I wanna stay here I don't want to go back especially with you in that world." I spoke.
"Mike, Anna and your family is all waiting. I want to you to come back with me." Allan spoke.
"why so that you could manipulate me again and use me however you want? You put me in danger and now you want to play the hero." I spoke and the whole place started to crash down.
"something is wrong here." Zuv looks around.
"Leave Allan. Before the door closes." I spoke.
"I would rather stay where you are. So you choose the spot." Allan stood his ground.
"I don't think how this works." Zuv spoke.
"I won't believe you ever again." I spoke
"You don't have to after what I have done. I just want you to love me back." Allan looked at me.
"We have bigger problems here." Zuv kept warning us.
"Do whatever you want. I'm staying." Is spoke.
And they whole land became stable the portal closed the three of us looked at each other.
"I guess it can fit three. I never knew." Zuv wondered.
We fell from that infinite space to the Mike apartment all three of us. Every one tried to stand barely and coughed up.
Allan's mom Lucy stood next to Mike and anna. And Zuv was with us breaking his oath.
"Um who are you?" Anna asked.
"I told you it wasn't going to hold three people." Zuv coughed.
"Allan are you alright." Lucy hugged Allan and tears rolled over.
"Mom. I missed you." Allan started to cry like a kid and everyone stood there in silence.
A part of me understood his desperation.
