Chapter 4 - Rise of the Forgotten Gods

Ash drifted down like snow.

The ruins of Delphi were silent—ancient pillars cracked, the sky overcast with smog, and nature recoiling from the pulsing chaos that now infected the earth.

But in the heart of the rubble, a fire had returned.

Lucifer stood tall, wings tucked behind his back, staring at the blazing symbol etched into the stone beneath him. The Blood Oath he had cast was more than a rebellion.

It was a call.

A beacon.

A declaration to every banished, sealed, or erased deity across all pantheons.

And now they were waking up.

A low growl echoed behind him.

"You should be dead, Lucifer."

Lucifer didn't turn. "So should you, Fenrir."

From the shadows stepped a giant of muscle and fur, with silver-gray eyes that burned like moons. Fangs like blades gleamed in the dark.

"Your blood touched Yggdrasil," Fenrir snarled. "It stirred me from the endless dream."

Lucifer glanced over his shoulder, smirking.

"Then you heard it. The gods are trembling again."

Fenrir paced like a predator. "Odin banished me to the depths of Niflheim. For centuries, I chewed on my own bones. Now I wake, and the first thing I see is you calling me to serve?"

Lucifer raised a hand. His chaos sigil flickered to life in his palm.

"I'm not your master," he said simply. "I'm your storm."

The air shook.

Fenrir blinked, snarling at the glowing interface hovering in the air.

Lucifer stepped closer, his voice low, sharp.

"They called you a beast. A monster meant to devour the world. But they never let you speak, did they?"

Fenrir's jaw twitched.

"They chained you in prophecy. Like they did to me."

Silence. Then...

"...What do you want from me?"

Lucifer's crimson eyes locked with his. "Your rage. Your loyalty. Your hunger."

"I want Ragnarok."

The silence that followed felt like eternity cracking.

Then—Fenrir laughed. A booming, monstrous sound that shattered stone.

"You always were the arrogant bastard." He crouched down, baring his teeth. "But I missed your fire."

He offered a paw. It shimmered with divine might.

Lucifer clasped it.

A pact sealed.

Behind them, the earth shook again.

Another ripple of divine power erupted.

From across the shattered plains, portals of mist began to open—every one leading to a god once deemed "unworthy" by their own pantheon.

Lucifer turned, eyes glinting.

"Now let's go collect the others."

---

Elsewhere…

In the dark waters of the Nile, a scream shattered the silence.

The crocodile-headed god, Sobek, clawed his way out of his sunken temple.

In a forgotten shrine in Cambodia, Rahu, devourer of the sun, opened his jaws once again.

From the void between stars, a pair of golden eyes blinked open—Quetzalcoatl, wreathed in feathers and vengeance.

They all heard the same voice:

"Rise. The world is unmaking. The gods will fall. The throne is unclaimed."

---

Back in Olympus…

Zeus awoke in chains.

Divine chains. Placed by his own people.

"What is this?!"

Michael stood above him, expression unreadable. "You failed to destroy him. You risked a Divine Collapse."

Athena stepped beside him. "So we are invoking the Law of Celestial Substitution."

"You dare bind me?!" Zeus roared. "I AM THE SKYFATHER!"

"You were," Amaterasu said coldly. "Now sit. And watch the monster you made reclaim the throne."

---

Meanwhile… in a broken temple on the edge of the Persian realm…

Lilith kneeled before a circle of ancient women, each cloaked in forgotten myths.

The Morrigan. Tiamat. Medusa. Ishtar. Nephthys.

Each one had been branded cursed.

Each one had once been worshipped.

Now, they listened.

Lilith rose. "He has returned."

Tiamat's voice was like smoke and thunder. "Does he still burn with rebellion?"

"No," Lilith said softly.

"He is the rebellion."

The circle fell silent.

Then Morrigan chuckled darkly. "Then let's paint the world red again."

---

Elsewhere…

Lucifer and Fenrir approached the edge of a ruined battlefield—once a place where a war between pantheons was fought and buried.

Here, atop a mound of cracked armor, sat a solitary man, draped in black rags, silver chains around his neck.

Lucifer stopped.

"You shouldn't be alive," he said.

The man lifted his head.

Eyes of gold.

Hair like black fire.

A third eye scar burned faintly on his forehead.

Prometheus.

"You stole fire from the gods," Lucifer said. "They burned your name from the scrolls."

Prometheus grinned.

"And yet, I remember yours."

They stood face to face.

Two traitors.

Two mythic figures bound by betrayal and resurrection.

Prometheus extended his arm. A burning shard hovered in his palm—a fragment of The First Flame, hidden even from Olympus.

Lucifer reached out, fingers inches away.

"Once you take this," Prometheus said, "you can never go back."

Lucifer smiled.

"I have nothing to go back to."

Suddenly, the sky twisted. The stars blinked. Reality warped.

A massive eye opened above them—a divine satellite, shaped like an eye of glass and steel.

> [Orderframe Detected – Deploying Executor Class Seraphim]

Lucifer turned his head slowly, wings flaring.

A new figure descended—humanoid, encased in blinding armor, swords of light orbiting them.

> "You have stolen divine fire. You have broken three seals. You have unified the banished."

> "By the Law of Order: you are to be eliminated."

Lucifer stepped forward, eyes glowing.

"I've heard that before."
