Chapter 125 - Dolphin

 Iori's Room

PAB's regular meeting~

This meeting discussed the future direction of drinking.

After all members expressed their opinions, the following conclusions were reached.

"Drinking at every opportunity

Drinking all day and all night

Drinking with all their might

Drinking for every excuse!!!"

It's safe to say that turning this club into a drinking club is perfectly fine.

Of course, these conclusions apply to freshmen like Shiro. Juniors are busier due to their busy schedules.

The drinking limit has been set: five drinks a month!

Hmm...

That's less than once a week on average!

Shiro would never have guessed that this was even after the restrictions were in place.

This truly is a drinking club.

"Okay, that concludes today's meeting."

"Anything else you want to discuss?"

Tokita and Kotobuki smiled. Every meeting went surprisingly smoothly.

"Ah, I have one more thing."

Shiro raised his hand at Kohei's puzzled gaze. "Nanaka-san asked me to pass it on."

"Dolphin's new store is short-staffed and needs help."

Hearing this, the two seniors suddenly realized what was going on. Nanaka had mentioned it to them before.

But...

"They said it starts next week, for a total of two weeks."

"..."

That's where the problem lies.

The seniors looked bewildered, saying, "It's a bit difficult for a junior to squeeze in two weeks at this time."

"And you're so anxious."

It's almost impossible for juniors to attend.

As for the freshmen, Shiro and Iori didn't mind; Nanaka-san had already told them the news yesterday.

As for Chisa, there was even less reason not to go. After all... she was really looking forward to it.

As for Kohei…

"What's 'Dolphin'?"

Excellent! He looks so clueless—easy to fool!

Hearing Kohei's question, Shirou and Iori exchanged a silent glance, then nodded. They already had a whole basketful of ways to hoodwink him.

"Eh? You forgot?"

"It's the place we bought our diving gear before going to Okinawa."

The seniors began explaining to Kohei. This guy really didn't care about diving equipment at all, even though that shop was supposed to be quite famous.

Once they said that, Kohei started to remember. Oh yeah, that place had branches all over the country. He just usually didn't bother remembering names of stores that weren't important to him.

"So are you going, Kohei?"

Shirou leaned in close to ask, already prepared to launch his scam.

"A part-time job, huh…"

Kohei hesitated a little.

"What are you hesitating for? You've got nothing else going on this break, right?"

Iori was puzzled. This was the perfect opportunity to both experience diving and earn some money.

"But it's already September…"

"So what?"

"That means… the seasonal anime are all ending around this time!"

"…"

Shirou's mouth twitched. Honestly, he had forgotten about that too if Kohei hadn't brought it up.

Mainly because there wasn't much worth watching this season anyway.

He was kinda jealous of Kohei.

He could even watch crappy shows and enjoy them…

Still, that wasn't a valid excuse!

With modern tech, you could just watch the replays. Same thing.

The seniors all chimed in to persuade him.

"Shouldn't be a problem."

"You can still watch anime even with a part-time job."

"If you go to 'Dolphin', you'll get to learn more about diving too."

"You might even get diving gear at a discount."

Listening to their persuasion, Kohei started to waver. It was tempting!

Even Shirou and Iori were a little dumbfounded—neither had even thought about learning diving skills or getting equipment…

They were only going because Nanaka had asked and to get an advanced diving certification.

But hey, this worked perfectly!

Seeing Kohei was about to give in, Shirou took out his phone.

"Then I'll just say you're helping too. It's decided."

"…Fine, but I am watching my anime. No compromise!"

At this point, Kohei had no real room to argue. Still, anime was his bottom line.

"Who cares? Watch whatever you want."

Shirou rolled his eyes. His job was just to rope Kohei in.

Off to the side, Iori suddenly asked,

"By the way, Kohei, where did you go for your high school field trip?"

(′`;)?

"Why are you asking that all of a sudden?"

Kohei was confused. It felt like he'd been led around by the nose this whole time.

"Haha, just curious. Random thought."

Though he felt something was off, Kohei answered honestly.

"Australia!"

You could tell Kohei had really enjoyed that trip. He even still had a limited-edition Australian towel.

What he didn't notice, though, was the odd smile that appeared on Shirou and Iori's faces after hearing his answer.

"Oh really, huh."

"Sounds like a great trip."

Cue sly grins~

"So where and when is the job?"

Since he had decided to do it, Kohei figured he might as well get the details.

"Next Monday, 9 AM, Narita Airport~"

"OK, next Monday, 9 A—wait a sec!"

Something felt off to Kohei. Narita Airport? That didn't sound right. Would a diving shop really open in an airport?

Holding onto a shred of hope, he asked,

"This new store is opening in Narita Airport, right?"

"Of course~"

Shirou smiled brightly—just like a fox tricking a clueless bunny.

"Oh, and don't forget your passport~"

"THIS IS ABROAD, ISN'T IT, YOU TWO BASTARDS?!"

If Kohei didn't realize now, he'd be beyond saving.

No wonder it all felt fishy—this was all a setup by these two scoundrels!

"Sorry, we already got a confirmation. Can't back out now~"

Now that the jig was up, they didn't even bother pretending anymore. Shirou even showed him the reply on his phone—confirmed.

"Wait, this is way too rushed—"

"Relax. Food, housing, all arranged."

"And we confirmed you've got a passport~"

Iori chuckled beside him. That earlier question? Totally a setup~

(#`n′)

Tch!

Kohei had been completely railroaded. What else could he do but let out a frustrated click of his tongue?

Then a sudden thought hit him, and his expression turned to despair.

"My livestreams!!!!"

If he went abroad, he wouldn't be able to watch his anime livestreams!!!

The two scheming masterminds just shrugged. They didn't watch streams, so they couldn't relate~

Poor guy~
