Chapter 256 - Titanium Handcuffs.

The classroom door slammed open with dramatic flair.

Irina Jelavić strode inside, blonde hair swaying behind her as she radiated her usual seductive confidence.

"I heard there are new transfer students—"

Akira, still half-hidden behind Erika's back, casually looked up.

"Oh. The famous Bitch-sensei."

Irina froze mid-step.

Her smile cracked instantly.

These brats must have told him that name already…!

Still, she quickly regained her composure and flashed a dazzling smile.

"My name is Irina Jelavić. You may call me Irina-sensei."

Akira tilted his head innocently.

"I think Bitch-sensei fits better. Everyone already calls you that anyway."

Irina's smile twitched violently.

The attendance sheet in her hand nearly crumpled from the pressure.

Behind her, the rest of the class was desperately trying—and mostly failing—not to laugh.

Irina took a deep breath.

Then another.

Finally deciding to change tactics, she walked toward Akira with slow, seductive steps and leaned down close to him with a honeyed voice.

"So… where are you from, handsome?"

Akira answered immediately.

"Home."

Irina blinked.

"…Where is your home?"

"Not that far. If you go in that direction and—"

"No, not that!"

She nearly screamed before catching herself.

Several students snorted.

Irina forced another strained smile.

"I mean… where are you from before you came to this city?"

"Railway station."

This time, actual laughter broke out across the classroom.

Irina took several deep breaths, veins beginning to appear faintly on her forehead.

"…So where were you born?"

"Hospital."

Irina finally snapped.

"You damn brat—!"

The entire class burst into open laughter.

Realizing she had lost control again, Irina hurriedly recomposed herself and switched tactics once more.

This time, she put on her most seductive expression and leaned in closer, voice dropping to a soft whisper as she reached toward Akira's shoulder.

"I'm just curious about you, that's all~"

Then—

an overwhelming wave of killing intent flooded the classroom.

Irina froze instantly.

It felt like someone genuinely wanted to skin her alive.

Cold sweat trickled down her back as she slowly turned her head.

Erika sat there smiling elegantly.

But her eyes carried the faintest crimson tint.

And the bloodlust radiating from her was unmistakable.

Irina immediately stepped back.

T-that girl… she's seriously dangerous…! It actually feels like she wants to kill me!

"I-I'll ask you later," Irina said quickly before retreating toward the front of the room.

Karma's eyes sparkled with excitement, his grin widening dangerously.

Interesting… so the quiet one's hiding some terrifying bloodlust.

Nagisa looked slightly pale as he tightened his grip on his notebook.

That was real killing intent… From Erika-san…?

Most of the rest of the class, however, looked completely confused.

"What just happened?"

"Did the temperature suddenly drop?"

"Why does Bitch-sensei look scared?"

Akira blinked and looked toward Erika with genuine concern.

"What happened? Are you okay?"

Erika slowly took another sip from her bottle of red juice, breathing a little heavier than usual.

"I'm fine."

Irina straightened herself with visible effort, forcing her elegant teacher persona back into place.

It's fine. I'm a professional. There are other ways to figure him out…

Then, with a smile that looked only slightly strained, she began the lesson.

"Now then, today we'll talk about different languages. Languages are essential for assassination. Understanding communication and culture can determine success or failure during a mission."

She looked directly at Akira with a confident smile.

"Now then, Hoshino-kun, right? How many languages do you speak?"

Akira answered instantly.

"All of them."

Irina finally lost it.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU DAMN BRAT?!"

After surviving a full day of chaos, Akira and Erika finally walked home together along the quiet mountain path.

Akira looked completely dead inside.

His shoulders slumped forward, his eyes half-lidded as he dragged himself beside Erika like his soul had already left his body.

Meanwhile, Erika was unusually quiet, walking with her head slightly lowered.

Then Selena's voice echoed through their minds.

"So? How was your first day at school?"

Akira let out a long, exhausted sigh.

"A little more boring than I expected… but interesting in its own way. I still don't understand why Bitch-sensei got so angry at me, though."

Selena chuckled.

"Don't worry about her. She's not actually that mad. What about your classmates? Did you make any friends?"

Akira scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"You already watched everything, right? It was a little overwhelming… too many people at once. But I think I'll manage if we do it gradually."

As they continued walking, Akira suddenly sensed something behind them.

He glanced back briefly—

then looked forward again with an annoyed expression.

"Annoying."

Selena immediately asked,

"Government people?"

"Yeah. They've been following us for a while now."

His voice carried obvious irritation.

Selena hummed thoughtfully.

"Makes sense. Two obvious superhumans suddenly appear, cut off Koro-sensei's tentacles multiple times, and then take them away afterward. Of course they're suspicious."

Akira shrugged.

"But we switched the box. They should think the tentacles simply disintegrated."

"Even so, your background is way too suspicious. They won't let this go easily."

Akira sighed again, visibly annoyed.

"Looks like I'll have to do something about it…"

Then he noticed Erika had gone even quieter than before.

Her footsteps sounded slightly heavier.

He glanced toward her.

"Are you okay?"

Erika nodded, though her voice sounded faintly strained.

"I'm fine."

Akira studied her carefully for a second.

"The last time you said that, you attacked me in bed. Are you planning to do that again today?"

Erika immediately pouted and stepped hard on his foot.

"Don't joke around!"

Akira dramatically staggered.

"Ah—! My leg! It's gravely injured~!"

Erika snapped instantly.

"I didn't stomp that hard! Stop acting weird, people are watching!"

Akira stopped the act and looked at her more seriously.

"So are you actually okay? Even during Bitch-sensei's class, you seemed a little distracted."

Erika hesitated for a moment.

Then she quietly admitted,

"I'm fine… It's just… when she got close to you, I couldn't control my emotions properly."

Her voice became softer.

"It felt like… I wanted to beat her up for trying to take what's mine…"

The moment the words left her mouth—

she froze completely.

"W-wait, that's not what I meant—!"

But it was already too late.

Akira's eyes sparkled brightly as a huge grin spread across his face.

"Hehe~ So you're finally jealous? That's good. That's really good, hehe~"

Erika's face instantly turned bright red.

"I said that's NOT what I meant!"

Akira continued teasing her mercilessly.

"You even said I'm yours, hehe~"

Erika somehow became even redder.

"Why are you like this?!"

Unable to handle it anymore, she turned around and ran toward their house.

Akira immediately laughed and chased after her.

"Wait for me!"

After the chaotic day, Akira and Erika finally returned home.

By now, Erika had calmed down considerably.

As they entered the house, she spoke quietly,

"I'm going back to my room. Don't forget the homework."

Akira nodded casually.

"I already finished it during break. I've got other things to do."

Erika paused for a moment before replying softly,

"…Fine. I'll finish mine too."

She turned to head upstairs—

but Akira suddenly stopped her.

"Wait. The tentacles."

Erika blinked, then took out the modified Gourmet Case and handed it to him.

"Oh. Right. I almost forgot."

With that, she headed upstairs while Akira immediately went down into the basement laboratory.

He opened the case.

Inside, the three severed tentacles were still wriggling weakly as they slowly continued disintegrating.

Akira carefully transferred them into a containment unit filled with a strange blue gel-like substance.

The moment the tentacles touched it—

they froze in place completely.

The disintegration process stopped instantly.

Akira smiled faintly.

"Good."

He then placed the preserved tentacles into a high-tech scanner and activated it.

"Hehe… let's see what you're really made of."

As the scanner began running, Akira casually turned toward another monitor nearby.

Several government agents were visible on the screen, watching the house from a distance.

They weren't preparing to attack.

But the surveillance was obvious.

Akira's expression darkened with annoyance.

"Once again… looks like I have to deal with this immediately."

Inside a heavily secured government meeting room—

Karasuma stood rigidly before a massive screen while several high-ranking officials sat around the table.

"The two transfer students demonstrated abnormal capabilities today," Karasuma reported calmly.

"They severed three of Koro-sensei's tentacles. Their physical abilities, reaction speed, and predictive calculations were clearly beyond normal human standards."

One official leaned forward.

"So do we know who they are or where they came from?"

Karasuma shook his head.

"Not yet, sir. We're currently investigating their background."

Another official narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"Where exactly did they come from? Increase surveillance immediately. We need to know who they are and what they want."

Another voice spoke coldly.

"We cannot allow unknown variables like this to move unchecked. Dig into their past. Everything."

"They're too dangerous to ignore."

The officials began discussing additional countermeasures—

when suddenly—

every screen in the room violently glitched.

Static crackled.

Then—

a chibi version of Akira suddenly appeared across every display at once, smiling casually with his hands behind his head.

"Oh? Karasuma-sensei, having a cool secret meeting without me? That's so cruel. Why didn't you invite me?"

Karasuma's eyes widened slightly.

"Akira…?"

The chibi Akira continued cheerfully.

"Well, anyway… it seems you guys are very curious about us. I understand that. But sometimes… knowing too much isn't good for you, okay?"

Then chaos erupted.

Every official's private email suddenly flooded with highly classified information.

Confidential operations.

Buried scandals.

Black projects.

Secret communications.

Sensitive government files that absolutely should not have been exposed.

Panic immediately spread through the room.

Meanwhile, Akira's cheerful voice continued calmly—

yet carried an unmistakable warning underneath.

"So just so you know… we're on the same side here. Saving the world and all that."

He smiled brightly.

"So let's not get in each other's way, alright? I'd really prefer staying friendly with everyone too."

The chibi icon gave a playful wink—

and vanished.

Silence filled the meeting room.

Karasuma let out a tired sigh.

"That kid…"

A heavy silence filled the meeting room.

Back in the basement lab, Akira watched the government agents outside their house immediately retreat in visible panic.

He smiled faintly.

"Well… that should work for now."

Just as he relaxed—

something approached the house at incredible speed.

More specifically at Mach 20.

Ding-dong.

The doorbell rang.

Akira sighed immediately, already knowing exactly who it was.

Akira went to open the door while Erika came downstairs to check as well.

"Who is it?" she asked.

Akira sighed.

"Who else?"

He opened the door.

Koro-sensei stood there cheerfully, waving several tentacles at once.

"Nuuhuhuhu~! Sensei came to check on how his new students are doing after their first day!"

Akira raised an eyebrow.

"You're here to check on your tentacles, aren't you?"

Koro-sensei's laugh faltered for a brief second before he waved a tentacle dismissively.

"Well… they are rather dangerous after all."

Akira glanced up toward the permanently shattered crescent moon hanging in the night sky.

"Yeah. Nobody wants another exploding moon incident."

Then he stepped aside.

"Come in."

Erika also greeted him politely.

"Good afternoon, Koro-sensei."

Koro-sensei smiled brightly.

"Erika-san, forgive Sensei for intruding without notice~!"

The moment he entered the house, his eyes sparkled with curiosity as he looked around.

"Nuuuh! Your house is quite nice!"

Akira led him directly toward the basement laboratory while Erika quietly followed behind.

The moment Koro-sensei stepped inside—

his tentacles froze midair.

The glowing monitors.

Advanced machinery.

Futuristic scanning equipment.

The entire basement looked absurdly high-tech.

Even Koro-sensei seemed stunned.

"Nuuuh…?! How did you set all of this up so quickly?!"

Akira shrugged casually.

"That's a secret."

Koro-sensei instantly zoomed around the lab at Mach 20 speed, carefully making sure not to touch or damage anything while inspecting every machine with overflowing curiosity.

Then he suddenly stopped in front of one device.

"What is this?"

Akira answered casually,

"That's a super 3D printer. It can recreate almost anything as long as we know the material composition. Even metals."

Koro-sensei's eyes widened as he noticed what the machine was currently producing.

"…Why is it printing titanium handcuffs?"

Akira froze.

Erika instantly turned bright red and looked away.

Akira immediately changed the subject at lightspeed.

"Anyway, let's look at your tentacles."

He quickly guided Koro-sensei toward the containment unit.

Inside, the three severed tentacles floated within the strange blue gel, perfectly preserved and no longer disintegrating.

For the first time since arriving—

Koro-sensei's expression turned genuinely serious.

"What is that gel?"

Akira answered calmly.

"It's a modified high-density magnetic suspension gel. I adapted it to stabilize antimatter reactions and safely preserve them."

Koro-sensei stared quietly at the preserved tentacles.

"You actually found a way to preserve them…?"

Akira nodded slightly.

"Well, just preserve normal antimatter to be honest, Your tentacles are… weird, to be honest."

He glanced toward the scanning monitor.

"I'm still trying to understand how they function without accidentally blowing up the planet."

Koro-sensei remained silent for several moments as he stared at the floating tentacles.

Then he quietly asked,

"So… did you discover anything?"

Akira shook his head.

"The scan's still running. It should finish sometime tomorrow."

Koro-sensei slowly nodded.

"…Would it be alright if Sensei came back tomorrow to check again?"

Akira smiled casually.

"Sure. You're always welcome."

Koro-sensei's cheerful demeanor immediately returned.

"Excellent! Then Sensei shall return tomorrow~!"

But before leaving, he glanced back toward the 3D printer.

More specifically—

toward the titanium handcuffs still being printed.

A mischievous smile spread across his face.

"And one more thing…"

He wiggled his tentacles teasingly.

"Handcuffs are rather advanced equipment for students your age. Please be careful when using them~! Nuuhuhuhu~!"

The next instant—

he vanished at Mach 20 speed.

Silence filled the basement.

Akira and Erika stood there completely red-faced.

Neither of them said a single word.

Both silently stared at the titanium handcuffs that were still slowly printing.
