Jiraiya's long white hair swayed in the wind, whipped around by the shockwave's gale. He shielded his eyes with his hand and carefully observed the situation in the village. Seeing that most of the buildings were unharmed, he breathed a sigh of relief. "Tsunade, it probably wasn't an enemy attack. It might just be a random geological event."
Jiraiya's words eased Tsunade's mind considerably. She had just received a battle report that morning about a mysterious organization attacking Konoha, and now a shocking earthquake had occurred. Being Hokage was truly exhausting. The timing was too coincidental not to make the connection.
"That's good." Tsunade's green coat fluttered in the strong wind. Jiraiya, looking down from his high perch, naturally let his gaze drift downwards.
And then...
"Ha!" With a sharp cry, a fair white fist came flying towards him, aimed straight at his head.
CLANG!
Jiraiya was hit square in the face and fell to the ground, seeing stars.
'Why?! Why does that kid Kusuo always get to feast his eyes, and even get to touch them? Why can't I!?' Jiraiya's heart was bitter, an endless river of sorrow. "The heavens are unfair..."
As Jiraiya lamented, Tsunade dusted off her hands and turned to leave.
