Two days later, on Thursday practical combat class.
"Raise your right hand a little higher. Stand straight on both legs. Konoha-style Taijutsu needs power."
Kitazawa walked around, giving instructions.
After canceling the practical combat test on Monday, he had the students from both classes focus on practicing the Clone Technique and Konoha-style Taijutsu. He would then correct their mistakes based on what he observed during practice.
This was the targeted strengthening he had mentioned earlier.
While unnecessary for geniuses like Sasuke and Neji, it was extremely useful for the more ordinary students. Their talent was limited, and being able to properly learn the Three E-Rank Technique and Konoha-style Taijutsu was already a great achievement.
After graduation, such students would be considered capable Genin.
Halfway through the practical combat class, two lines of text suddenly appeared before Kitazawa's eyes:
[Current Mission: Help Uzumaki Naruto learn Rasengan.
Mission Reward: 20% of Senju Bloodline.]
[Host has completed the mission. Reward issued.]
Kitazawa froze on the spot.
A massive amount of Chakra surged through his body, flowing rapidly like a flood of power. He instinctively clenched his fists, feeling a dramatic increase in strength.
Because this was a one-time increase of 20% Senju Bloodline, it was far more noticeable than the previous 10% boost.
Now, he possessed a total of 40% Senju Bloodline.
With various mission rewards, the increase in Byakugan purity, and the bonus from the Senju Bloodline, his Chakra had already risen by nearly two full units.
Kitazawa stroked his chin thoughtfully. There's a saying, "quantitative change leads to qualitative change."
For instance, based on the earlier calculation where every 10% Bloodline equaled one-fifth of a chakra reserve, 40% Senju Bloodline should have given him four-fifths of a Chakra Reserve.
But in reality, the increase felt closer to a full unit of Chakra—or perhaps even more. Which meant… 100% Senju Bloodline would likely provide far more than two units of Chakra.
Kitazawa snapped back to reality and created a Shadow Clone to continue guiding the students.
With 40% Senju Bloodline, maintaining an additional Shadow Clone barely consumed any energy.
"Kitazawa-sensei!"
Before Kitazawa even got close, he heard Naruto's excited voice.
A green-clad figure came to a sudden stop and appeared before him.
"Have you learned Rasengan?" Kitazawa asked proactively.
"Kitazawa-sensei, look!" Naruto exclaimed, holding out his hand.
In his palm spun a rotating, highly compressed sphere of Chakra.
"Congratulations," Kitazawa said with a warm smile.
Unlike in the original timeline, Naruto had learned the complete Rasengan without shortcuts.
"Thank you, Kitazawa-sensei!" Naruto said gratefully.
Even though he was young, he knew this achievement was entirely due to Kitazawa's guidance.
"After learning Rasengan, you can temporarily stop learning new Ninjutsu," Kitazawa advised.
He thought for a moment, then added, "Focus on combining Rasengan with Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu during your combat training."
"I understand!" Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement.
If he and his Shadow Clones all used Rasengan, wouldn't they be nearly unstoppable? After all, Rasengan was an A-Ranked Ninjutsu—its destructive power was no joke.
"There's still half a class left," Kitazawa said, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "I'll teach you a new tactic to deal with Sasuke."
"What is it?" Naruto asked impatiently.
"Another use for Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu—but one you've never tried before." Kitazawa patted his shoulder. "Use it in the Student Council selection Exam, and it will definitely catch Sasuke off guard."
Naruto grew even more curious, his bright blue eyes staring expectantly.
"This method can also break Sasuke's Manipulating Shuriken Technique," Kitazawa added.
"I want to learn that!" Naruto declared, fully hooked.
"First, use Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu."
"Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto quickly formed hand seals and created fifty Shadow Clones.
Kitazawa pointed to a tree about five meters away. "Do you see that tree?"
"Yes, we do!" the group of Narutos answered in unison.
"Good. Attack it with kunai."
At his command, Naruto and his Shadow Clones unleashed fifty-one kunai, embedding them deep into the tree.
On a stationary target, Naruto's throwing accuracy was actually quite good—thanks to Kitazawa's prior training.
"This is the new use for Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu—long-range group attack," Kitazawa explained.
"I feel like the kunai aren't powerful enough," Naruto admitted.
"You don't just have to throw kunai," Kitazawa said, smiling knowingly. "Imagine if fifty Sasukes all used Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique at once."
Naruto froze.
He had seen Sasuke's Great Fireball before. Its sheer size and destructive power made it difficult to avoid, and now… fifty of them?
Dodging would be impossible.
"But I don't know Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique," Naruto muttered, scratching his head. "And… I kinda like being a Taijutsu Ninja."
Kitazawa wasn't surprised. He had long realized Naruto enjoyed close-quarters combat the most.
Still, relying only on Taijutsu would limit his potential.
"Naruto, don't forget your dream," Kitazawa said with a light cough. "Taijutsu Ninja alone cannot surpass the previous Hokage."
"Oh, right!" Naruto exclaimed. "I want to learn Fire Release!"
"Not just Fire Release," Kitazawa corrected with a firm nod. "Learn Ninjutsu!"
Naruto's chakra nature in the early stages of the original work was Wind. But in the later stages, besides Yin, he essentially possessed all natures.
"Rasengan can also work." Kitazawa added, "However, your current Rasengan cannot be thrown."
"Rasengan can be thrown?" Naruto's eyes widened as he asked.
"It can indeed." Kitazawa paused and said, "But you can't learn it just yet."
In the original work, two types of throwable Rasengan were mentioned.
One was Wind Release: Rasenshuriken. When it was first developed, it couldn't be thrown, but Naruto learned to throw it from a distance after mastering Sage Mode.
The other was the Vanishing Rasengan. It was actually a Lightning Release: Rasengan; by adding Lightning Release, it could not only attack from a distance but also create an invisible effect.
Sage Mode was still a long way off. As for Lightning Release: Rasengan, Kitazawa thought it could be attempted after the Student Council selection exam.
After all, a Vanishing Rasengan would be excellent for surprise attacks. However, throwing it also had a problem: accuracy.
"Alright, let's continue training." Kitazawa clapped his hands and said, "Just hitting a stationary target isn't enough."
"Yes, Kitazawa-sensei!" Naruto immediately responded.
"You and your Shadow Clones attack me."
After Kitazawa finished speaking, he used the Transformation Technique to assume Sasuke's appearance.
"Kunai attack, target Kitazawa-sensei!"
Seeing this, Naruto ran among his Shadow Clones and ordered.
The sound of rushing wind filled the air. A large number of kunai fell like a dense rain of arrows.
"Naruto, throwing without any strategy is too scattered and easy to dodge."
Kitazawa easily evaded the kunai and reminded him, "Pay attention to the rhythm; you can throw kunai in batches as appropriate."
"I understand!" Naruto quickly changed his strategy and said, "Everyone, divide into three rows!"
Fifty-one Narutos, including the original, are divided into three rows.
After the first row threw seventeen kunai, the second row threw another seventeen based on Kitazawa's dodging direction.
The third row continued predicting Kitazawa's movements and released the last seventeen. At this point, the Narutos in the first row took out new kunai, forming a cycle.
For a moment, Kitazawa felt somewhat overwhelmed. He had only one thought in his mind: Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu was indeed an unofficial cheat.
Fifty-one Narutos were already this troublesome; by the later stages, with two or three thousand Narutos, it would be downright invincible.
Of course, it wasn't truly invincible. Against powerhouses like Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha, it would still be useless.
It could only be said that most ordinary ninja would find this fighting style very difficult to handle. It was even simpler to deal with a Sasuke who had not yet fully matured.
"Naruto, your long-range fighting style has one weakness: it becomes ineffective in close combat," Kitazawa said while dodging.
Konoha-style Body Flicker!
His body transformed into leaves, immediately reappearing among Naruto's Shadow Clones.
The third row of Shadow Clones reacted too slowly, throwing kunai that accidentally injured many of their own.
Seeing this, Kitazawa immediately used the Manipulating Shuriken Technique. The effect he created was similar to Sasuke's earlier. Some Shadow Clones tripped, some vanished directly, and the scene became chaotic.
However, Naruto had learned from his previous experience and ignored those Shadow Clones, charging directly to engage Kitazawa in close combat.
"Good reaction, but there are still some issues." Kitazawa pulled back, creating distance, and said.
Naruto stopped, standing still and looking at him, waiting for him to continue.
"Your three rows of Shadow Clones can be spaced out a certain distance; that way, it will be harder for the enemy to break through all three rows."
Kitazawa paused, then added, "But if the enemy also has Shadow Clones, it will be harder to be effective."
"Then what should I do?" Naruto quickly asked.
"It's simple." Kitazawa said with a slight smile, "Cancel Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu, then cast it again, and then use Rasengan and Taijutsu for close-range combat."
"Huh?" Naruto suddenly reacted and asked, "Isn't that just my previous fighting style?"
"Indeed." Kitazawa said in a deep voice, "In real combat, having only one fighting style isn't enough; you need to mix multiple fighting styles."
"I understand!" Naruto answered subconsciously.
"What do you understand?" Kitazawa raised an eyebrow and asked.
"It's just — it's just use close combat first. If that doesn't work, use long-range, and if long-range doesn't work, go back to close combat!"
Naruto paused, then summarized.
Kitazawa laughed wryly. To put it that way, there was nothing wrong with it.
"Continue with the practical training." Kitazawa returned to his original position.
"Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto immediately formed the hand signs, and he and his Shadow Clones once again plunged into battle.
Twenty minutes later, the battle ended.
"That's all for today; you can go back and rest." Kitazawa patted Naruto's shoulder and said.
"Goodbye, Teacher Kitazawa!" Naruto was a bit tired, but still full of energy.
Kitazawa twitched the corner of his mouth. He felt his stamina was not as good as Naruto's.
In fact, it was true. The Uzumaki Clan Bloodline was simply too powerful.
In his previous life, watching the anime, the Adamantine Sealing Chains that burst forth in an emergency had left Kitazawa stunned; that was just cheating.
Besides the Adamantine Sealing Chains, the Kagura Mind's Eye and physical healing were also top-tier abnormalities.
It must be said that the Uzumaki Clan truly possessed extremely advantageous conditions — vast chakra, terrifying physical prowess, super-strong perception, and formidable sealing jutsu.
No wonder Naruto could become one of the protagonists.
Kitazawa arrived at the Ninja Academy training ground and encountered another protagonist—Sasuke.
"Teacher Kitazawa." Sasuke got straight to the point and said, "I have already mastered Genjutsu: Unknown Fire."
Kitazawa smiled slightly. Genjutsu: Unknown Fire was not taught to Sasuke by him, but by Uchiha Itachi. The boy had been learning it for quite some time.
As for why Sasuke sought him out, Kitazawa could already guess the reason. He simply wanted to learn new Ninjutsu.
Kitazawa indeed had plans to teach him Ninjutsu, but it had to wait until after the Student Council selection practical assessment.
After Sasuke's crushing defeat, he planned to teach him Lightning Release.
In the original work, Sasuke's performance with Lightning Release was even stronger than with Fire Release. Kitazawa had two missions related to Lightning Release, and these could only be completed after the practical assessment.
"The Student Council selection practical assessment is coming up soon; it's too late to teach you new Ninjutsu now," Kitazawa pondered for a moment and said. "For the next few days, train on your own, solidify the Ninjutsu you've mastered, and you can also do tree climbing training."
"Thank you, Teacher Kitazawa!" Sasuke's eyes lit up, and he nodded. He wondered what Ninjutsu Kitazawa would teach him afterward.
So far, all the Ninjutsu he had learned had proven very useful. Not to mention, in the previous match, he had easily defeated Naruto using what Kitazawa had taught him.
"Teacher Kitazawa, see you tomorrow." His goal achieved, Sasuke did not linger and turned to go home.
Although school was out, Kitazawa did not leave immediately. There was still one thing he needed to do.
Kitazawa found his Ninja squad members in an open space not far from the training ground. Yakushi Kabuto was practicing Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu. Aburame Torune and Uchiha Izumi were learning the Shadow Clone Technique.
"Teacher Kitazawa."
Yakushi Kabuto saw him, immediately walked forward, took out a scroll, and said, "These are the D-Ranked missions we completed today."
Kitazawa opened the scroll and began to read. Although he had stipulated three D-Ranked missions per day, they all had Shadow Clones now, so their progress was much faster.
Under the current circumstances, they could do five or six D-Ranked missions a day. If they encountered less tedious ones, they could complete them even faster.
Kitazawa's system mission progress had also reached about halfway. He estimated they could finish in at most two days.
"After the winter break, I'll take you to do higher-difficulty missions," Kitazawa said, closing the scroll.
"Okay."
Yakushi Kabuto's emotions were very stable. Although doing D-ranked missions was relatively boring, he never complained.
Aburame Torune was even more so. He came from Root, and obeying orders had already become instinct. Uchiha Izumi was also not a typical Uchiha; her personality was gentle and kind. Although she didn't fully understand, she still complied.
"Today's training ends here; I'll treat you to barbecue."
Kitazawa waved to Aburame Torune and Uchiha Izumi. To be honest, having them grind missions like this was him taking advantage—not only helping him complete his system missions but also earning him a lot of money.
The reward for a D-ranked mission ranged from five hundred to ten thousand ryo. As the squad leader, Kitazawa could get more than half of the reward. It might sound unreasonable, but in fact, it was very reasonable. After all, the squad leader not only had to teach the team members Ninjutsu but also had to ensure their safety.
Kitazawa led them to the barbecue restaurant.
Halfway there, he saw two unexpected figures—Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy. More precisely, Might Guy was pestering Kakashi, hoping to have a youthful showdown with him.
"Kitazawa?" Kakashi saw Kitazawa as if he had seen a savior and quickly shook off Might Guy.
"What are you two doing, pulling and tugging in the street?" Kitazawa asked teasingly.
Kakashi was about to speak, but was choked by this remark. He had just left Anbu not long ago, and then he encountered Might Guy, who had forcefully engaged him for several minutes.
"Kitazawa, you've come at just the right time!" Might Guy quickly caught up and said. "You can be our referee!"
"I haven't agreed to your spar," Kakashi glanced at him and said.
"Kakashi, don't you feel my burning youth?" Might Guy gave a thumbs-up, full of fighting spirit, and asked.
"No," Kakashi replied calmly.
"This is youth—sometimes passionate, sometimes bitter!" Might Guy paused, clenched both fists, and remained completely unaffected.
Kabuto subconsciously adjusted his glasses. He had met many strange Ninja while working as a spy, but Might Guy still made him feel unfamiliar.
Such a Ninja looked very unreliable. However, since he could challenge Kakashi, his strength was probably not bad.
"We're about to go eat barbecue," Kitazawa said with a smile, unaware of Kabuto's thoughts. "Meeting is fate; you two should come along."
"Okay."
Kakashi immediately agreed. Compared to fighting Might Guy, he preferred to enjoy a barbecue meal. Actually, he wasn't against sparring with him, but Might Guy was the type of Ninja who would never stop once a fight started.
