There was no time for Andras to slowly think about how to deal with a dormant volcano or what would happen if the small earthquakes trigger a wider scale, massive avalanche.
Andras just had to act despite the unknown variables.
He had to hope that Robin had followed his orders and remained where he left, thereby narrowing his search for the body.

He couldn't help but worry that Robin would have a panic attack and become so frightened that he would end up swept away by the avalanche.
Not used to the outdoors with little to no survival skills Robin would easily be frightened if he saw that the snow capped mountain he was obediently resting on was collapsing.
Imagine seeing an avalanche of thick snow coming towards you and if you managed to survive freezing to death.
Then Andras pictured molten lava following the same trail as the melted snow engulfed everything in its path with a fiery blazing inferno.
