Keres was already salivating at the red blood continuously dripping from Chronos's injury. Now, he was even crazier when he spotted the plasma pistol still holstered at Thiago's hip.

He lost it completely and roared hysterically.
"Run!"
Chronos gritted out, hobbling, one hand clutching his belly with the other arm over Thiago's shoulders. The rebar in his thigh was throwing his whole gait sideways.
"Run away—leave me and go your way. Just—go—!"
"Are you out of your mind?"
Thiago almost wanted to hit Chronos on the back of his head as he dragged his body away from Keres's reach.
