Harper leaned against Leo's car, arms crossed and an amused smirk tugging at her lips. "You know," she teased, "for someone who claims to be busy with college work, you sure find a lot of time to show up here and distract me."
Leo laughed, that low, easy sound that always made her stomach flip. He stepped closer, closing the space between them until his shadow fell over her. "Maybe I'm here because I like distracting you," he murmured, his green eyes glinting mischievously. "Besides… who's going to make sure no one else steals your attention when I'm not around?"
Harper rolled her eyes, but her cheeks warmed anyway. "You're ridiculous."
"And you love it," Leo shot back immediately, grinning as he brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
