At Hana's
Hana's aunt paced nervously, her thoughts spinning as she walked in circles around the living room.
Aunt (thinking, anxious):
Hana, where are you, sweetheart? It's already past 10 p.m... Should I go look for her? But what would I even say to my sister? If Haru finds out I'm here, he'll lose his temper again. What am I supposed to do?
Just then, the front door creaked open. A familiar voice called out:
Hana:
"Auntie, I'm home."
Her aunt rushed toward the entrance, heart pounding.
Aunt (relieved, then alarmed):
"Hana! Where on earth have you been? I was so worried! Wait—what happened to you? You're soaking wet! And whose jacket is that?"
Hana stood there, shivering slightly, water dripping from her hair.
Hana (softly):
"Auntie… I'll explain everything later. Right now, I just really need a hot bath."
Without another word, she started walking away.
Aunt (still stunned):
"Hana… wait—come here!"
But Hana had already disappeared down the hallway.
In one of the cars
Joonhuk had changed; he was now wearing a beautiful suit and another jacket, making him look even more handsome and elegant. He sat there, lost in thought after what had happened in the village. Hana's face kept replaying in his mind over and over again.
Driver: "Young master, we will be arriving soon. Your father said he wanted to speak to you about the daughter of Mister…"
Joonhuk interrupted coldly:
"I already know. You don't need to explain anything to me."
The Lee Villa
The party was nearing its end, and some guests were already leaving.
Mr. Lee said to Minji:
"Where is that brat? Mr. Kim won't stop talking about him. I don't want to be embarrassed—do something."
Minji replied nervously:
"Father, he's on his way. Arian called him, and Joonhuk already knows what to do. Please, father, stay calm. I know Mr. Kim and Mr. Kang are influential people, but Joonhuk would never do anything to make you lose face in front of them."
Mr. Lee:
"Fine. Go take care of your brother Seojun. I really need this investment right now, so make sure he doesn't mess things up with that girl."
Minji nodded, her eyes moving toward where Seojun was chatting with another girl. She walked over to them.
Minji (turning to the girl):
"Please, could you give us a moment?"
The girl nodded politely and walked away.
Minji:
"Don't forget the senator's daughter came here with you tonight."
Seojun, a wide smile on his face:
"Why would I forget, little sister?"
Minji:
"If you hurt that girl, expect father to make you pay for it."
She turned and left after saying this, leaving Seojun seething. He muttered under his breath:
"Like father, like daughter…"
Back in the car
Joonhuk's voice was calm but tinged with certainty as he said:
"I knew you were going to do that."
