After leaving their bags at Mikoto's house, they swiftly arrive at the academy, arriving just in time to hear the final bell ringing and the chatter of young shinobi aspirants exiting the academy. They observe that none of their mothers are present, but this is anticipated since it's the middle of the week.
Effectively locating their children as they say farewell to their peers. As the evening plan unfolds, Naruto and Sasuke engage in a race to see who gets to the compound first, much to the annoyance of the women. ANBU personnel on duty swiftly trails the children.
Upon arriving at the compound, they discover the two of them yelling and grappling on the ground that divides them.
"Why are you arguing?" Kushina inquires. Naruto excitedly gestures toward Sasuke, "He cheated; realizing he couldn't match my speed in the race, he opted for a shortcut."
Sasuke smirked, "We're meant to be ninja; lying will be part of our work."
Mikoto jovially smacks the back of Sasuke's head, "Cheating isn't good, Sasuke, especially when it's your friends. Even ninjas have codes."
Naruto grins at Sasuke's bad luck and is smacked on the head by Kushina, "Friends shouldn't mock others' misfortunes, so both of you shake hands, freshen up, and come eat." They both complain and shake hands before entering the house.
It's evening, and after unwinding for a while, both friends prepare dinner.
They reminisce about different thrilling escapades from the past, "Do you recall Mikoto, when we undertook that escort task for the third son of a minor noble family in the hot springs region? How that jerk condescended to us—"
Mikoto cuts in, "Indeed, Kushina, I recall vividly how you fractured his arm while getting too familiar with Hitomi, nearly triggering a diplomatic crisis." It was fortunate that he was the third son of a lesser noble family and possessed a rather tarnished reputation.

Mikoto exhales, "it was fortunate that Hitomi and I were on your team. "I'm scared to imagine what you would have done without us," she remarked, laughing at the conclusion.
"Given your history, you shouldn't criticize; I only just fractured his arm. You intended to trap him in a twisted genjutsu and shatter him."
"And you messed up my scheme; I had a lot arranged for him," Mikoto remarked, licking her lips.
"You remain as sadistic as always," Kushina remarked.
"This is getting old; we have some free time." "How about enjoying drinks and relaxing in the onsen while the kids are gone?" Mikoto aims.
In the meantime, with children, both are in the midst of arguing.
"Check out my Kaa-san, she's amazing, Sasuke." She will be taking Ji-chan's place. It makes no difference if your ni-san is about to become an Anbu captain.

Close by, a completely bare Mikoto perches at the edge of the onsen, her legs immersed in the water while sipping from a saucer.
"You stated it, Kushina." "I can't recall the last time I experienced such a soothing environment." As she lifts one of her legs, presenting Kushina with an unobstructed view of her folds between her legs.
"Mikoto, you should sit cautiously; what if children or someone else enters here?"
Mikoto laughed at her reply, "Nobody will arrive here, Kushina." This space is designated solely for Uchihas' heads. I seriously doubt that Sasuke and Naruto have anything in mind other than the thought of going to hot springs.
