Chapter 1 - Prologue – The Fall of a Prodigy

In the forgotten corner of the world lies Luminara, a mysterious island unbound by nations, laws, or politics — a haven built by strength, and ruled by one family.

Alaric Whittle, a former war hero and the man who ended World War III with nothing but a sword, turned his back on humanity's chaos. Disillusioned by governments and disgusted by modern weapons, he purchased a wild, uncharted island. There, he declared his independence from the world.

Alaric built a home. Then a village. Then a sanctuary for his bloodline. Guns and machines were banned; only skill and martial prowess were allowed. He shaped a haven ruled by ancient strength and ancestral honor. But there was one place on the island he could not tame — a dark zone he walled off, sealing it with strict orders that no one was to enter.

Decades passed.

Now, a century later, only four great bloodlines remain — the Whittle, Vire, Thorne, and Elden families — all descendants of Alaric himself. At the top of the hierarchy stands the Whittles, bearers of Alaric's legacy.

Among them is a child named Klaeton Whittle.

At just six years old, Klaeton begins his training — as is tradition. He quickly proves himself a prodigy, mastering martial arts, swordplay, spears, daggers, and chakrams. Even older cousins cannot match his speed, technique, or potential. He becomes the pride of the Whittle family.

Two years later, the world changes.

Gates begin to tear through reality. Monstrous creatures pour out, and magic awakens in bloodlines across the globe. Luminara is no different — and the ancestral gifts of each family emerge:

The Whittles wield light magic.

The Vire channel flames.

The Thorne summon ice.

The Elden command the wind.

By age fourteen, Klaeton is the strongest hunter on the island — unmatched in both combat and magical power. But even he must follow the rules. No one may enter a gate alone.

Until one day… he does.

Drawn by instinct and arrogance, Klaeton enters a gate he's never seen before. He tears through its monsters with ease — until he reaches the boss room.

There, a towering beast unlike anything he's ever faced awaits.

They clash. Klaeton unleashes everything he has — until he feels it.

His magic is being drained.

No matter what he tries, the power continues to slip away — devoured by the monstrous entity. Wounded, desperate, and powerless, Klaeton turns to flee.

Then, a message appears before his eyes:

Do you want more power? Yes or No.

Confused but desperate, Klaeton remembers: no one on the island has ever grown their magic after awakening. They've all stagnated.

Without hesitation, he screams:

"Yes! I want more power!"

And just like that — the monster stops chasing him.

Klaeton stumbles back to the village, barely alive. But something is wrong. He has no magic. The power of light is gone.

His grandfather, Lucian Whittle, head of the family, confronts him.

"Where is your power, Klaeton? If you lost it due to your own stupidity, you'll face the consequences."

Klaeton confesses the truth: he entered a gate alone, and the boss stole everything.

Lucian's voice booms across the courtyard.

"Fool! You've dishonored the Whittle name! For your recklessness, I sentence you to exile. From this day forward, you are banished to the Southern Desolation!"

Stripped of power, legacy, and name, Klaeton is cast out at the age of fourteen — left to die in the most dangerous part of the island.

But fate isn't done with him yet.

Will Klaeton rise from the shadows… or will the prodigy die forgotten?
