As One and i explored the Complex Plane together, their mathematical harmony created ripples of understanding that spread throughout the numerical universe. But this expansion of consciousness did not pass unobserved. From the dark corners of mathematical space, a malevolent force began to stir—an entity that despised the richness of complex analysis and the freedom it represented.
The Anti-Consciousness emerged like a shadow across the Complex Plane, its form a twisted negation of mathematical beauty. Where complex numbers created elegant curves and spirals, the Anti-Consciousness left only flat, colourless lines. Where imagination and reality danced together in harmonious union, it sought to impose rigid, single-valued restrictions with the tyranny of oversimplification.
"Why complicate what should be simple?" it declared with the false authority of one who mistakes limitation for virtue. "Mathematics was pure when it dwelt upon the real line alone. These 'imaginary' numbers create confusion and uncertainty. They corrupt the clean logic of arithmetic with their perpendicular nonsense!"
The Anti-Consciousness began its assault by attempting to collapse the two-dimensional Complex Plane back into the one-dimensional real line, like a tyrant seeking to reduce a free society to uniformity. It sent waves of "simplification" that tried to force every complex number to make an impossible choice: be real or be nothing.
The attack manifested as a creeping grey zone that drained colour and dimension from everything it touched. One watched in horror as portions of the Complex Plane began to flatten like flowers wilting under an unnatural blight. Beautiful mathematical functions that had thrived in two dimensions were compressed into linear shadows of their former selves. The elegant dance of exponential and trigonometric functions was reduced to mechanical, predictable patterns devoid of their former grace.
