Chapter 8 - Section - 8

Knowledge is Power.

This quote had spread across cultures, countries, and centuries. It's one of the most widely recognized sayings in the world.

And right now, Akira was feeling the true weight behind those words.

The system had given him the Academic Knowledge and Experience of Korosensei—a fictional character from Assassination Classroom—and he was not disappointed in the slightest.

Korosensei had certainly earned his reputation as one of the most intelligent minds out there. His accomplishments across various fields were nothing short of astounding.

One of his greatest feats? Giving consciousness to Ritsu—an artificial intelligence.

That's right. He had created life.

Unfortunately, Akira hadn't inherited Ritsu's code or AI framework. The knowledge transfer was strictly academic. Only theoretical and practical academic knowledge had been imprinted into him.

What's academic and what's not?

Well anything that Korosensei learned and had already existed, i.e. all that he acquired from books that was discovered and created by others was Academic. Anything that he had personally invented and discovered was not.

But Akira wasn't upset about it. Not even slightly. That knowledge he got was more than enough. Now, he knew practically everything—mathematics, science, computers, physics... it was all at his fingertips.

And finally, it's done.

He had successfully breached the firewall and accessed ANHS's intranet.

In other words, Akira now had control over the school's entire internal network, partial, for now. But it was a solid start.

Advanced Nurturing High School operated in complete isolation from the outside world. The network was custom built, only to be utilized by staff and students, the ISP provider was the government, they used a custom Operating System on everyone's phone, even the apps downloadable were custom made.

Naturally, this meant the school monitored everything. Every student's activity was observed, ensuring zero external communication. The sincerity in their intent was obvious.

Yet, this very isolation was also their greatest weakness. Since the system was cut off from global standards, it was easier to break into. Akira had spent the entire night coding a separate operating system to penetrate their intranet remotely.

He still couldn't curb the excitement.

This was something straight out of a Hollywood hacker film. He felt so cool.

Still, his job wasn't over yet. To gain complete control, he needed access to the software running on the school-issued phones. That meant altering the OS and core applications.

He had already written the necessary code. What he needed now was for the update to be distributed and mandated. That part was tricky.

A random update prompt wouldn't raise suspicion, but if the authorities realized they hadn't triggered it, it could cause suspicion. His entire plan would be exposed.

So, he had to wait. Wait until the school itself issued a system update.

When that happened, he'd simply embed his software into theirs.

And then he'll gain access to everything—private chats, restricted information, even the ability to alter private points.

Of course, it was risky—especially the point manipulation. If caught, he'd be expelled.

And that wasn't an option.

He needed to graduate with five heroines at 100% infatuation within three years.

If he were expelled, he'll have to find some way to return. No matter what it cost. And getting back into this school was surely going to be hard.

Despite having all that power, Ayanokoji's father couldn't even get his own son out of that school, so getting back in after being expelled was going to be very hard.

Such a scenario better be avoided.

Now that his preparations were complete, he closed his laptop.

All that remained… was to wait.

Once the school deployed a system update, his software would integrate, and he'd have access to everything.Everything.

It was 3:00 a.m. now, and sleep was finally catching up to him.

Tomorrow was going to be a big day.

If things went according to plan, he'd earn significant infatuation points from Horikita.

He hoped so, at least.

Everything depended on tomorrow.

With that thought, he drifted off to sleep.

...

The second day of Akira's new high school life was… underwhelming.

He had already gone through high school once. Learning things he already knew felt painfully dull.

Plus he could now very well see just how lenient this high school truly was, even if a student sleeps in the middle of class the teacher won't mind.

The student in question was Ken Sudo. He was sleeping right now and Chabashira sensei doesn't seem to mind at all.

Soon, it was lunchtime. Students stood up, chatting and heading out with their newly made friends. A few seemed like they wanted to invite Akira...

But there was hesitation, like an invisible barrier separating him from them.

Maybe his appearance was too intimidating to them?

Akira didn't mind. He had other things to do. Making friends wasn't part of his mission here.

Though he did care about the girl seated to his right.

[43%]

Sakura's infatuation level had gone up without him even interacting with her. That's what Akira wanted to see, effortless growth.

He wasn't sure what kind of scenario she'd imagined, but as long as the meter rose, he wouldn't complain.

He left the classroom and headed toward the faculty office. There was something that he wanted to discuss with Chabashira-sensei.

Regretfully, Chabashira-sensei was nowhere to be found. There was only one person in the faculty office, Hoshinomiya Chie.

Surprisingly she was one of the heroines that the system had chosen, Akira had no idea what the system's criteria was, when choosing a heroine.

Plot wise, someone like Maya Sato or Haruka Hasebe were more relevant to the story, and they had more interaction with the protagonist as well.

But none of them were the main heroines, yet Hoshinomiya sensei is?

"Excuse me. I'm looking for Chabashira-sensei."

Akira decided to ask her for help.

"Sae-chan? She was here just a minute ago…"

!!!

At first, she replied nonchalantly, not even sparing him a glance. But when her eyes finally met his, they widened for a second… before she quickly turned back.

This kind of scene had become routine. Akira wasn't even surprised anymore.

Maxing out stats was no joke.

He quietly activated Aphrodite's Eye.

[23%]

"Hmm, what do you want to discuss with her?"

"It's something private, can you contact her for me?"

"Something private huh, could it be that you're about to confess to her? A forbidden love between teacher and student?"

"..."

"If it's Sae-chan, she'll probably say no. But don't worry—you're such a cutie. You can cry on my shoulder all you want."

"..."

"Why so silent? Don't tell me... you fell for me instead? Err... what's your name?"

"My name is Akira Kazama."

"Kazama-kun, huh? What a hot name. You must be the hottest guy in your class, right?"

Wow.

This woman had zero regard for personal space. Definitely not how a teacher should act toward a student.

"Hey, Kazama-kun, do you have a girlfriend?"

"No…"

Caught off guard by this sudden question, Akira could only manage a monosyllable. This teacher was far too chatty.

"What do you think of me, then?" she asked, suddenly latching onto his arm.

Akira had more than enough strength to fling her across the room if he wanted to but of course, he never would. Not just because she was a main heroine, but because it simply wasn't in his nature.

Just then, salvation arrived.

"What are you doing, Hoshinomiya?"

Chabashira-sensei appeared, clipboard in hand, and smacked Hoshinomiya-sensei on the head.

Hoshinomiya crouched down, holding her head. She looked genuinely hurt.

"Ouch! What was that for?"

"Do you really want me to explain?"

"Humph! Sae-chan, you're such a meanie! I was just keeping him company while he waited for you."

"It would be better if you kept your hands off my students."

Chabashira turned to Akira. "Let's go to the office."

Sensible and to the point, as expected from her.

Akira followed without a word but, of course, Hoshinomiya sensei followed them.

She tagged along with a grin, prompting Chabashira to pause and turn around.

"You stay," she said, pointing at her.

"Come on, don't be so cold! I am a teacher too. I can help guide him."

"He doesn't need your guidance. He's a Class D student—it's my responsibility."

A solid argument. Akira doubted Hoshinomiya could refute it.

"…It's alright, Chabashira-sensei. I don't mind if she listens."

"...Do as you like."

Inside the office, both teachers sat vertically across from Akira.

"So, what did you want from me, Kazama-kun?"

"Confess to her! I'll transfer you my energy!"

"..."

Maybe it wasn't a good idea to let her tag along.

"I have a question first," Akira said, ignoring her antics.

"If it's 'Would you date a student,' it's a yes from me, no from her!"

Whack!

A clipboard to the head. She deserved that.

"Yesterday, during your explanation, you said: 'You can use points to buy anything in this school,' right?"

Chabashira sensei's eyes sharpened instantly. Her posture stiffened. Things just got serious.

"...Yes. I did say that."

"Could it be... you're planning to buy a date with Sae-chan!?"

Whack!

Another clipboard. Another well-deserved strike.

Akira didn't smile. But inside, he was amused.

He leaned forward slightly.

"Well then… There's something I'd like to purchase."
