Chapter 141: Supreme Treasure, Panling!
Supreme Treasure, Panling!
The "human wave tactics" are truly powerful from the Domain Lord stage up to the Undying level.
This is precisely why the Mechanical and Insect races can stand at the pinnacle of the universe.
The "Puppet Art" that Jiang Zhe has mastered is also a form of human wave tactic.
Since its creator is the Nether Blood Egg (Jiemu Egg)—a precious embryonic treasure even on the Origin Continent—its war potential far exceeds that of the Mechanical and Insect races.
With just a 5,000-fold mind power amplification, Jiang Zhe can control 5,000 puppets, each possessing the strength of ten times that of a Domain Lord. Together, their combined strike could obliterate a primary-level King.
Unfortunately, due to energy constraints, such a powerful combined strike can only be unleashed three times before each puppet's core energy is depleted and needs to be recharged.
These puppets were originally made by "Mary" just to fool the Lord of All Saints. For a truly perfect human wave tactic, he'll have to rely on Oriana's [Mother of All Beings] talent secret art.
But for now, Jiang Zhe doesn't need more. The 11,000 puppets in his hands are enough to last him until he reaches the Undying level.
Once he steps into the outer battlefield, he'll be on the same level as Luo Feng's army of a million insect kings.
Still, he must always remember:
Human wave tactics are ultimately just a minor path, suitable for temporary protection, not as a fundamental cultivation focus.
The [Mother of All Beings] is meant for delving into the divine power path!
Far beyond the Immortal Shrine, billions of kilometers away, past the Ancient God Ruins—
In a quiet valley, a silver-eyed mark carved into a rock wall suddenly lit up brilliantly.
A phantom door appeared, solidified from light, and swung open. Jiang Zhe, clad in dark purple battle armor, stepped through.
He immediately swept his umbrella behind him, causing the portal to shatter, blocking any residual explosive force.
"Tsk tsk… as expected of Ashu's masterpiece. Among the three great innate secret arts of the Candlelight Clone, none disappoint."
Jiang Zhe caressed the multicolored gems on the Hunyuan Umbrella, sighing with admiration.
Then he took out a Mechanical race spaceship from his world ring, entered it, and under Oriana's control, the ship shot skyward.
"Anna, fly slower. I want to inspect my harvest."
"Understood, master."
Satisfied, Jiang Zhe nodded and entered the umbrella's internal space.
He found the corgi's world storage and took out the fifteen statues stored inside.
Each statue radiated a distinct beast god aura—wild, serene, roaring, joyful. Thanks to his strong willpower, he wasn't affected much.
The complex secret patterns etched into the scales differed on each beast god's body, reflecting unique poses.
Jiang Zhe quickly picked out eight statues with different stances. The secret patterns on their scales together formed eight one-eighth fragments of a key to the universe's fundamental mysteries.
The remaining seven—excluding two special ones—were not identical to the eight either.
It was only due to his sensitivity to spatial laws that he noticed some statues conveyed similar principles, allowing him to muddle through and pick eight non-repeating ones out of thirteen.
This was easy to understand.
Just like how Luo Feng tried splitting the "Perfect Secret Pattern Diagram of the Strongest Talent Secret Art," which should have yielded 64 diagrams, but he ended up with 92.
Though he knew some were duplicates, he couldn't simplify them any further.
Caressing this set of eight beast god statues one by one, Jiang Zhe murmured:
"These come from the nest of the Gold Beast God, probably the most orthodox Gold Beast God inheritance in the Original Universe."
"Sadly, they're not suited for humans. Humans find it hard to resonate with them, making it nearly impossible to be guided by their intent and comprehend the fusion mysteries."
"Just like how Luo Feng and Ba Qi had completely different reactions when seeing these statues—
Luo Feng saw them as treasures, while Ba Qi thought the jade gold used was wasted.
If I hadn't known the secrets hidden inside, I'd also have felt nothing at first glance."
His expression darkened, unhappy with his slow progress observing the Thunder Beast God slate.
Cultivating the Beast God path with a human body truly was difficult.
"And there are even harder things ahead…"
Thinking of Luo Feng's experience in the Beast God World, his mouth twitched.
"The secret patterns on these statues—without the 'Perfect Secret Pattern Diagram of the Strongest Talent Secret Art' for guidance—would be nearly impossible for others to comprehend."
"With Sit Mountain Guest's level of insight, for him to say 'hard to understand' means it must be exceedingly difficult."
Jiang Zhe shook his head and sighed.
"Even if I had a set of Thunder Beast God statues right in front of me, it'd still be less useful than the "Thunder God Codex" I got from chopping down that tree."
A thought flashed through him:
"Maybe my path of fusion laws shouldn't follow the Beast God path exactly—or perhaps I need to forge an alternative Beast God path with a unique style."
Use the "Thunder God Codex" as the main guide, and the Beast God slates as supplements!
With that settled in his mind, Jiang Zhe looked at the two most special statues among the fifteen.
Both were about three meters tall, over three zhang high, entirely crafted from jade gold, semi-transparent and glistening with hints of gold.
They were identical, shaped like one-horned lizards pouncing forward.
Fierce heads, sturdy limbs, every part—head, horn, teeth, claws, tail—looked like deadly weapons in motion, exuding terrifying menace.
The intricate secret patterns on their scales were far more complex than the other thirteen beast god statues.
Jiang Zhe, relying on his unique state of mind, tried to sync with the "spirit" of the statue and merge into one.
His consciousness blurred. It was as if he saw a savage beast god revived, emanating vast universe-origin fluctuations.
"Screee!" "Screee!"
Sharp, frenzied shrieks echoed in his ears.
The overwhelming ferocity snapped him back, his eyes sparkling.
"These seem to be two statues containing a complete fusion of Gold and Space law—a single one equals the sum of those eight statues, more complete but also far more obscure."
Jiang Zhe clicked his tongue in awe but left it at that.
A great opportunity, sure, but neither he nor his Silver-Clad Soul was attuned to gold—only earth, fire, water, wind, and thunder.
It'd be some time before these beast god statues could truly come into play.
"Master, we're approaching the Heavenly Eclipse Palace."
Oriana's voice echoed in his mind.
Jiang Zhe put the fifteen beast god statues back into his world ring and exited the umbrella's space.
In the distant void filled with light mist, a palace larger than a planet floated silently.
As Jiang Zhe's Mechanical race ship approached, a triangular black ship flew out to guide him inside, leading to a vast hall on the first floor.
Disembarking, he exchanged a few polite words with a Domain Lord steward, who then brought him to the second floor and handed him over to an Undying deity carrying a massive axe.
This Undying used divine power to carry him up to the ninth floor, entering the largest hall there.
Inside stood a figure, long and graceful, gazing out into the endless void beyond Heavenly Eclipse Palace. It was the palace lord himself—whom Jiang Zhe had briefly met on Blood Rock Continent.
"Palace Lord!"
The axe-carrying Undying respectfully saluted.
"Leave us."
A familiar elegant voice responded.
Once the Undying turned into a stream of light and left, Jiang Zhe bowed deeply.
"Jiang Zhe greets the Palace Lord!"
"Mm."
The Heavenly Eclipse Palace Lord nodded and got straight to the point.
"A while ago, I watched your battle below. Your understanding of space laws is still lacking—just a sliver short of fully comprehending the fourth diagram on the Cosmic Chaos Tablet, isn't it?"
With a hint like that, how could Jiang Zhe not understand?
He immediately offered a step, "Your insight is unmatched, Palace Lord. Might I trouble you for some guidance? Jiang Zhe would be endlessly grateful."
"A trivial matter done in passing. Watch carefully."
The Palace Lord's eyes glimmered with a smile as he pointed at the space before him.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!…
Black fireballs suddenly appeared, floating in the air of the hall.
There were 108 in total, varying in size. Some were hundreds of kilometers wide, while the smallest were nearly ten kilometers across.
Entirely pitch black, flames burned on their surfaces, tearing nearby space apart. The spatial turbulence was completely suppressed by these black fireballs, distorting the surrounding void as if they were black holes more than stars, exerting overwhelming gravitational force.
Each of the 108 fireballs represented one of the 108 fundamental mysteries.
Their resemblance to planetary systems also echoed the concept behind the fourth diagram of the Cosmic Chaos Tablet.
Although the Palace Lord did not cultivate the Cosmic Chaos Tablet himself, with his mastery of spatial laws, he could easily simulate the space-related portion of its fourth diagram and demonstrate its profound mysteries.
"This is a shallow combination of the 108 fundamental mysteries of spatial law. I'll show you once—how much you grasp depends entirely on yourself."
As he spoke, the Palace Lord began to manipulate the 108 black flame spheres.
With this…
In Jiang Zhe's eyes, they became the only thing in all heaven and earth, completely absorbing him.
The Palace Lord did not stop at demonstrating the shallow combinations.
Gradually, deeper fusions emerged. Some spheres collided and merged, forming dazzling "superstars."
These represented minor branches of space law—fully comprehending just one would earn recognition from the source of spatial law.
As the demonstration continued, multiple superstars collided, finally producing three terrifying black holes that swallowed everything in the void.
They represented strangulation, sealing, and teleportation—the three great profound mysteries of the spatial path.
Jiang Zhe and his Silver-Clad Soul were utterly entranced.
Who knew how much time had passed.
Jiang Zhe finally awoke from his contemplation.
The 108 black fireballs were long gone, and the Palace Lord was smiling at him.
Suppressing his inner joy, Jiang Zhe bowed solemnly.
"Thank you, Palace Lord, for your guidance!"
The Palace Lord waved it off with a smile.
"It's because you're promising. For most, I wouldn't bother."
"Jiang Zhe, look here."
With a wave of his hand, a suit of armor appeared beside him, sparkling like it was carved from diamond.
The diamond armor faintly glowed with rainbow colors, so stunning Jiang Zhe couldn't look away. A bold thought flashed through his mind:
Could this treasure be for me?
The Palace Lord laughed.
"This is a top treasure among top treasures. Its name is 'Panling.'"
