Chapter 35 - Chapter 34 – Date of Flame and Undead

Today was my date with Aisha and Merlin. I had no idea how to go on a date with two girls at once, but I figured I'd just walk through it naturally. I asked where they wanted to go, and they decided on a simple stroll around Uruste Village before heading to Mavela City.

Merlin lowered herself to the ground, allowing Aisha and me to hop onto her back. As we rode, I glanced at Aisha.

"Why a double date?" I asked.

"Why not?" she replied with a grin.

"Doesn't this bother you?"

"It stings a little… but I'm fine with it." She smiled. "I realized having a harem isn't that bad after all."

The rhythm of Merlin's galloping suddenly halted. She reared up, hooves pawing the air before slamming down with a thunderous stomp. Aisha and I each leaned to one side, avoiding being thrown off. Ahead, monsters appeared in broad daylight.

Merlin reared again, casting Undead Rising—a ring of undead soldiers emerged, summoned to her side. She commanded them forward.

"Tch…" Aisha pouted. "Don't interrupt our date!"

She leapt from Merlin's back, swinging her Vermilion Axe wreathed in Hellfire Magic. I jumped down as well, engaging with my fists. We dispatched the monsters quickly.

"Why are monsters attacking this close to the village?" I wondered aloud.

Aisha returned, grabbing my hand with a satisfied smile. "Let's continue our date!"

The thrill of battle faded, and we stood in the quiet aftermath, breaths still heavy—but hearts lighter. We climbed back onto Merlin and continued toward Mavela City. Aisha hummed happily, but Merlin's face seemed troubled.

"What's wrong, Merlin?" I asked.

"N-nothing, Master!" she said quickly.

"I can see it on your face," I pressed. "Is something bothering you?"

"I… I just don't know how to say this. I still don't really understand dating… What does it mean to you?"

"I'm not sure either. It was Aisha's idea."

"Darling!" Aisha pouted.

"Huh? What did I do?"

"As your companions, we should get to know each other more deeply," Aisha said cheerfully. "That's why I thought we should go on a date."

"Why a double date, though?"

"Because if it was just one-on-one, I wouldn't be able to handle not having your full attention," she replied.

"You can go on dates with me anytime you want, you know."

"Eh? Really? I didn't know…" Aisha muttered. "Testia didn't tell me that."

"Testia!!" I groaned. "That old hag…"

"We've arrived, Master," Merlin said.

By noon, we reached Mavela City. A merchant shouted excitedly about new items in stock. We hurried over to check the display and saw something familiar: a Kin Concealment artifact—the same one Prince Desmond gave to his centaur maid, Shina. It allowed beast-kin to hide their features, like wings or tails, making them appear fully human.

I'd just received my reward from the Endless Dungeon Quest and used it to buy three Kin Concealments—for Luna, Merlin, and Sasha.

I handed one to Merlin. She fastened it around her waist, and a soft glow engulfed her Moosetaur body. Moments later, she stood tall on two elegant human legs, now the same height as Hilda. After buying her new leggings, she took her first hesitant step, eyes wide, marveling at the feel of balance.

"So this is… how you all walk," she whispered.

We resumed our walk through the city streets. People stared as a young man strolled arm-in-arm with two stunning beast-kin girls.

"Merlin! Let's go over there!" Aisha called out excitedly, dragging Merlin along.

"Wait! I'm still getting used to these legs!" Merlin shouted.

"Aisha? Merlin? Where are you going!?" I called.

"Darling, just wait there!" Aisha replied.

"Where exactly…?" I mumbled.

While I waited, a memory of a recent dream surfaced. A voice had called my name for help. I couldn't recognize it, but the feeling lingered. I knew it was important—but not right now.

They returned with shopping bags in hand. Merlin's face was bright red as she looked at me.

Later, we went to a restaurant. Aisha and Merlin took turns feeding me. All I could do was sit there and open my mouth as curious diners watched us.

Before we left, I checked my status window:

We headed to an inn for the night. As we entered the room, Merlin and Aisha started acting strangely. They closed the door behind them, leaving me outside. I knocked.

"Darling! Come on in!" Aisha called.

Inside, I saw them both on the bed, dressed in lingerie. My face flushed. I sat between them, gently resting my hands on their heads, drawing them closer into a warm embrace.

"What are you two doing?" I asked.

"Uh… like we always do," Aisha said shyly. "To make you happy."

Without hesitation, I leaned toward Aisha, our kiss slow and warm. When I turned to Merlin, she trembled—but didn't pull away. Her lips met mine in a tender, hesitant brush, as if afraid the moment might vanish.

"I envy you, Master," she whispered.

"Merlin? What's wrong?"

"Nothing... I just envy your life. Before you tamed me, I envied everything I didn't have."

"Weren't you born from a dungeon?"

"No. I was just a regular monster until Dengka, the Evil God of Dreams, came to me. He gave me dreams that transformed me into a Silent Deathorns."

"What happened then?" Aisha asked curiously.

"But the dreams didn't make me happy. They only fed my envy. I became obsessed with Dengka… but I was just his tool in the dungeon."

"You don't have to worry anymore," Aisha said gently. "You're with Darling now."

"That's right," Merlin smiled. "Master is kind… and cool too."

I listened as they both opened up about the pain they endured from past masters. Merlin leaned in, her soft chest pressing against me. Her lips drew close—we kissed, then Aisha—as warmth filled the space between us.

"Darling, make sure you tell everyone you love them, alright?" Aisha said. "And don't forget to give them your surname."

"Aisha, I love you."

"I love you too, Darling. What about Merlin?"

"I love you too, Merlin. Will you take my surname?"

"Yes… and I love you too, Mast—Darling," she said. "Sorry, Aisha."

"No, it's fine," Aisha replied, smiling.

That night, we all fell asleep in the same bed. Before resting, I checked their status.

But a new one with Luna and Sasha was just beginning.
