"Well then, should we hurry up and send this monster to Impel Down?" Kuzan asked Issho and the others, standing atop Kaido's frozen body.
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku had already planned for you to freeze Kaido and lock him up in Level 6."
Issho smiled and said, "Just like the previous user of the Ice-Ice Fruit froze Byrnndi World, the World Destroyer."
The previous Ice-Ice Fruit user was a Marine thirty years ago. After freezing the World Destroyer, Byrnndi World, he was killed in battle against the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. It was only later that Kuzan obtained this ability.
Since Seastone was ineffective against Kaido, Sengoku chose the same tactic used against World: freezing.
"Then I'll have to strengthen it."
Kuzan's entire body turned to elemental ice, reinforcing the frost on Kaido to the extreme. Even so, he wasn't completely confident he could keep Kaido sealed.
Alucard, having returned to Wolf, sat back down on his throne. A bored Wolf even started gnawing on the Gates of Justice with his teeth, only to end up hurting his own fangs.
"Captain, should we head straight back to Arderay?" Wolf let go of his gnawing and asked for instructions.
"No, first, we'll go collect the Titan Fruit. I remember I'm owed three things."
Alucard recalled the intelligence he got from Ivalis. Was that island called Masuka?
It was located in a remote area of the first half of the Grand Line and would take a bit of time to reach.
Alucard had already instructed Ivalis and his subordinates to retrieve it, and he would merely receive it. Of course, if they failed to retrieve it, it wouldn't be too late for him to step in.
Two days later, a piece of news shocked the world.
Kaido, one of the Yonko, had been captured and imprisoned. At the same time, one of his subordinates, Queen the Calamity, had been defeated by the Immortal Pirates.
Naturally, the news didn't mention that Alucard had thrown Kaido directly to the Headquarters. Instead, it was changed to say that after a fierce battle between the Immortal Pirates and the Beasts Pirates, the Beasts Pirates were pursued by the Marines and finally captured.
They barely managed to save face; that was definitely the World Government's idea.
However, the newspapers also elevated Alucard's image as a fiend to a new level, given that he had defeated Kaido.
"Captain, shouldn't we take this chance to seize Kaido's territory?"
On a solitary island along the Grand Line's log pose route, Wolf asked Alucard for permission, his face alight with excitement.
In his view, with Kaido imprisoned, the Beasts Pirates were vulnerable, and the massive resource-rich land they controlled in the New World was a plump piece of meat, ripe for the taking. When else would be a better time to grab it?
"Are you out of your mind, Wolf?"
Alucard said coldly, tossing the newspaper into the sea.
Could Impel Down truly hold Kaido?
If Kaido were that easy to deal with, Alucard wouldn't have thrown him to Marineford; he would have thrown him straight into the River of Death.
Alucard was certain that Kaido would break out of prison within two months.
They had fought each other so many times. While Alucard didn't want to comment much on Kaido's intelligence, his strength was unquestionable.
Similar scenes were playing out not just around Alucard, but also with Whitebeard and Big Mom.
Some of their less intelligent subordinates suggested attacking the Beasts Pirates right away, only to be refused. Like Alucard, they all believed that the Underwater Great Prison couldn't hold a monster like Kaido.
A week later, the newspapers broke a stunning piece of news.
The legend of the Underwater Great Prison had been shattered once again, for the first time since Shiki the Golden Lion.
This time, the escapees were not just Kaido, but also Revolutionary Army Chief Dragon, and the World Destroyer, Byrnndi World.
"Hmm, what's going on?"
Alucard looked at today's newspaper, his eyebrows slightly furrowed beneath his dark circles and sunglasses.
He had originally thought that no matter how much of a monster Kaido was, Impel Down's capability should be able to hold him for at least two months. How did he get out in a week?
And with Dragon and World on top of that, what on earth happened inside Impel Down?
Wait, Byrnndi World... I remember he's...
Alucard thought back and recalled.
A lunatic known as the World Destroyer, who possessed the More-More Fruit, an ability comparable to the highest-tier Paramecia-types like the Tremor-Tremor Fruit and the Swap-Swap Fruit.
After a moment of contemplation, Alucard gave an order: "Wolf, turn back."
Wolf's colossal body, swimming in the sea, paused, but he quickly obeyed and turned around, asking, "Captain, are we not going to Masuka?"
"Leave it to Ivalis; there shouldn't be too much of a problem. Besides, compared to a distant treasure, it's better to grab the prey right in front of us."
Alucard pushed his sunglasses up with a finger and smiled faintly, "I thought you would be rescued by your son. Things in this world are always unexpected, aren't they, Monkey D. Dragon?"
Now Alucard regretted not keeping Dragon's Vivre Card back then.
First, he thought Dragon would be executed. Second, even if he wasn't, he figured Dragon wouldn't be able to get out until his son caused chaos in the prison. So, he hadn't bothered to keep it.
He hadn't expected him to escape by taking advantage of Kaido's jailbreak.
Alucard picked up a Den Den Mushi. The moment the call connected, the voice of Hancock, blushing with bashfulness, came through.
"M-m-master~"
If it were Hancock herself making that face, it would be quite enjoyable, but a Den Den Mushi making that gesture was just a little repulsive...
"Keep a close watch on the entrance to the New World. Keep an eye on a guy called Byrnndi World."
The Den Den Mushi nodded in perfect sync with Hancock on the other end, "M-m-m, your Empress knows."
"Thank you for your effort."
Alucard didn't have the habit of chatting on the Den Den Mushi. After delivering his command, he hung up.
"Ah~ It's been so long since I've contacted my master."
On Amazon Lily, Hancock fell onto the Den Den Mushi in a state of ecstasy, her cheeks flushed, as if she had just experienced an orgasm...
"Snake Princess, Byrnndi World is not easy to deal with, you must..."
"Get out!"
Before the Elder Nyon could finish her sentence, Hancock kicked her flying.
