Whether it was a mantis even more grotesque than an elephant, or a chimera with a horse's head and a tiger's body, these creatures, which would have been a rare sight in the outside world, now shared one common trait: they were all completely berserk.
Before the dumbfounded eyes of the agents at the gates of Mariejois, the monsters charging from the islands began to be enveloped in red plasma. Their sizes visibly increased.
