"Wh-what was that?!" Sengoku and the others quickly rushed out of the Marine Headquarters building after the tremor. Vice Admiral Borsalino was with him, and in less than a minute, Tsuru, Sakazuki, and others arrived as well.
"What's wrong?" Tsuru arrived at the central plaza. The ground was now a massive crater, with countless rubble and debris scattered all around.
Yamakaji saluted her and reported what he had just witnessed.
"A mountain peak falling from the sky, with a figure tied to it..." After listening to Yamakaji's report, Sengoku immediately recalled Shiki's Float-Float Fruit ability. He gritted his teeth and looked up at the night clouds. "Shiki, you bastard!"
Boom!
Suddenly, a giant hand emerged from the crater in the center of the plaza. Its outrageously colossal body, even more massive than Whitebeard's, slowly climbed out of the pit. When the Marines saw the huge figure emerge, cold sweat poured down their faces—it was Kaido of the Beasts!
"ALUCARD!!!" The first thing Kaido did after crawling out of the pit wasn't to challenge the Marines or swing his club or fists. Instead, he let out a colossal roar that swept through the entirety of Marineford.
"Get your fucking ass down here! ALUCARD!!!" Kaido roared again, screaming Alucard's name.
"It seems the rumors of the Beast being defeated and captured by the Golden Lion are true. I never would have expected him to use this method." Sakazuki said, his arms crossed. His hands instantly transformed into their elemental state as scorching magma began to burn. "But no matter what, the Marines simply need to face it head-on."
Tsuru, the most tactically astute person present,'s forehead furrowed. "Alucard... could it be..."
The result of the battle between Golden Lion Shiki and Kaido of the Beasts was that the Golden Lion won, since Kaido had gone missing afterward. Tsuru had considered the possibility of Kaido being captured by Shiki, but unless Shiki monitored him day and night, Kaido's chances of escaping were high. After all, not even Seastone chains could completely subdue this madman.
But, if Alucard was also involved... even Tsuru couldn't help but feel a drop of cold sweat trickle down her face. If not just Shiki, but Alucard and Kaido were also involved in this battle, the outcome would be...
"ALUCARD!!! GET DOWN HERE!!!" Kaido continued to roar, his furious shout piercing the clouds, but Alucard couldn't hear it.
"Magma Sparks!!" Sakazuki's elemental right hand expanded to dozens of times its original size, erupting with small chunks of magma like a meteor shower, which rained down on Kaido's body.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The explosive magma struck Kaido's entire upper body. In an instant, magma and smoke completely enveloped his body. To avoid being hit by Sakazuki's magma, many soldiers quickly retreated, and Kuzan was one of them.
"Isn't that a little too eager?" Kuzan's sunglasses reflected a sharp glint. "Isn't his target Alucard? There's no need for us to..."
"When a pirate is present, should we retreat?" Sakazuki retorted without backing down.
Kuzan felt that with the Golden Lion possibly attacking at any moment, it wasn't wise to fight Kaido as well. It would be better to find a way to get rid of him. Losing a bit of face and backing down was a small price to pay to avoid a full-scale battle with Kaido and prevent the worst-case scenario.
However, Sakazuki believed that no matter the situation, if a pirate appeared, he had to be killed!
As the two future Admirals spoke, a giant hand suddenly stretched out from the smoke and slammed down hard.
Sakazuki's pupils constricted, and he quickly crossed his arms, raising them to protect his head. Kaido's massive body fully emerged from the smoke, slamming down on Sakazuki as if he were swatting a mosquito.
When the Marines saw Kaido's body emerge from the smoke, they couldn't help but swallow hard. "He was hit by a special move from Vice Admiral Sakazuki... and yet he doesn't have a single scratch..."
"You bastard..." Even as he blocked with his elemental hands, Sakazuki's feet kept sinking into the ground. He glared at Kaido's hand, which completely blocked his view above, cursing under his breath. "What power!"
"Calm down!" Kuzan leaped onto Kaido's head, raising a hand and releasing a straight beam of ice. "Ice Time Capsule!"
In an instant, a wave of cold breath arrived, covering Kaido's entire right hand, which was on Sakazuki's head, and a small part of his right side.
"Speed is weight~~" A vulgar voice came, and a lewd face appeared before Kaido. The dazzling light made Kaido's eyes narrow. "Kaido-san~ Have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?"
The moment the words fell, Borsalino, hands in his pockets, stomped heavily on Kaido's frozen arm, slamming it to the ground. This freed Sakazuki. Kaido's body swayed, his arm hitting the ground and causing a minor earthquake. Kuzan and Borsalino also landed.
"Hmm~ you owe us one, Sakazuki..." Borsalino said in a long, drawn-out tone.
"Cut the small talk! We're facing a great enemy!" Sakazuki adjusted his stance, but didn't argue.
"GRAAAAGHHH! You bastards!" Kaido roared, glancing at the clouds above, then looking at the thousands of Marines before him with bloodshot eyes. "After I take care of you, I'll go and slaughter Alucard!!"
"He's a monster..." Shirokitsune, standing next to Momousagi, bit her lip. "The three Vice Admirals of the Logia types are working together, and it's completely ineffective against that monster."
"Jihahahaha! Jihahahaha!" Suddenly, a maniacal laugh that made Sengoku's blood boil echoed from the clouds, clearly transmitted into the plaza by Observation Haki. "Sengoku, I haven't broken my word. I did indeed attack on this day. It's just that I'm not the one leading the charge. You Marines can have your fun with this kid first!"
