Suddenly, a student voiced his question. Everyone in the hall turned their heads towards the direction from where the voice had come, and stared at the boy who had just asked the question.
"Really? You are asking me that now? Where were you when I was teaching you all about Beast cores?!"
Mr. Kinsley's face had darkened with visible anger, but he calmed himself down because it was not the time for him to express his irritation, and instead, he was obligated to answer the boy's question right now. However, he had fully memorised that boy's face for the future.
"Sigh... Okay, I will tell you this one last time. Just like how us humans cultivate our body through Qi and store it in our Dantian, the spiritual beasts also store their cultivated Qi in a special spot. But unlike our Dantian, that spot is not metaphysical, but like a crystal in which Qi can be stored. These are called beast cores.
