"Once Qi Xiezi comes in, don't blame me for ignoring our history!"
Liu Yao shouted arrogantly, completely unbothered. He was certain he'd been drugged with an aphrodisiac. But so what? Qi Xiezi was right outside. All he had to do was call, and that mongrel would come running.
There was no way Song Wanníng could escape.
"Oh?"
Song Wanníng chuckled, finding it all very amusing.
Liu Yao had always been cautious because of his background. Even as a personal disciple, he never acted domineering or proud in public.
To most people, Liu Yao seemed honest, hardworking, and well-mannered. They didn't know he was actually deeply insecure, petty, and spiteful.
He took everything personally, even if it was unintentional. In his mind, everyone looked down on him. One careless word and he'd spiral into resentment—though he'd never admit it.
People like that... the only fun is in grinding their pride into the dirt.
Song Wanníng smiled lazily. "I'll give you a chance. If you kneel and apologize, maybe I'll let you off. What do you think? You've knelt for me once before—what's one more time?"
Her light words struck Liu Yao like a whip. His eyes turned bloodshot.
The humiliation from that day surged back to the surface. Rage exploded inside him, sending his qi into chaos. Within three breaths, the effects of the drug intensified, flooding his limbs and bones with heat and desire.
"Song Wanníng! You really don't know your place!"
Grinding his teeth, Liu Yao lunged at her again.
So what if he was drugged?
The antidote was standing right in front of him—why would he let her go?
But just as he reached out, the beauty before him blurred and reappeared at the cave entrance.
"Come back... don't... run..."
His whole body was on fire, every nerve screaming for release.
Song Wanníng, however, only smiled.
"I'm not running. I'm staying to watch the show."
She clapped her hands.
"Come in."
As soon as she finished speaking, Qi Xiezi scrambled into the cave.
"Master, you called?"
He trotted to Song Wanníng's side, glaring daggers at Liu Yao.
That damned dog!
If it weren't for him, Qi Xiezi wouldn't have fallen into Song Wanníng's hands in the first place.
He gave Liu Yao's naked body a once-over and scoffed in disgust.
But Liu Yao had no time to be embarrassed. He stood frozen, as if struck by lightning.
"You—you—you two—"
Qi Xiezi was working with Song Wanníng?!
They had tricked him into coming?
How?!
Liu Yao was stunned, his mind struggling to keep up. But the details didn't matter anymore. What mattered was that he was finished. The ally he had counted on had now turned into an enemy. That meant he had completely fallen into Song Wanníng's trap.
The moment he realized that, Liu Yao's expression collapsed. If he had stayed cautious from the beginning and not inhaled the aphrodisiac, maybe he'd have had a way out. But now that the drug had taken effect, there was no escape.
Song Wanníng's eyes turned cold. She glanced at Qi Xiezi.
"Get your pills out. Feed him one."
Her concoctions were strong, but more... refined.
Qi Xiezi's pills? Using anything else would be a waste.
Qi Xiezi still hadn't sensed the danger approaching. He grinned eagerly.
"Right away!"
He walked up and shoved a pill directly into Liu Yao's mouth with zero hesitation.
"You think you can get me killed and walk away? Pray for yourself now, you bastard!"
Compared to him, Liu Yao—the mastermind—was far more deserving of punishment. As long as Liu Yao could distract Song Wanníng's fury, Qi Xiezi might have a slim chance of survival.
Despite his easygoing face, his mind was spinning in panic. He still didn't know what kind of poison Song Wanníng had given him. His demonic qi was being forcibly suppressed with no sign of recovery.
How long would this drug last?
He couldn't wait to get out.
"Mmmph! Mmph—!"
Liu Yao thrashed and choked, face flushed red from rage. He wanted to bite Qi Xiezi to death. If Qi Xiezi hadn't lured him here, how could he have fallen into this trap?
"Tch, sit still!"
Qi Xiezi smacked the back of Liu Yao's head and ignored the murderous glare thrown at him. He turned to Song Wanníng.
He opened his mouth, ready to plead for himself—but before he could speak, a pill flew straight into his mouth.
Startled, Qi Xiezi reflexively reached for his throat, trying to gag it up.
But the pill had already dissolved and spread like wildfire through his meridians.
Almost instantly, heat surged through his veins. Desire followed.
"Oh no!"
Qi Xiezi stared at Song Wanníng in horror.
She smiled sweetly.
"Behave yourself, and we can talk about it."
"Behave"... he understood immediately.
His face turned pale, then green.
He might have looked like a boy of a few years, but in truth, he was over three hundred.
And though Song Wanníng smiled, her eyes were colder than ice.
His heart trembled.
If he refused...
The searing heat rising through his body gave him no choice.
Qi Xiezi, spineless as ever, gave in.
Liu Yao watched the scene unfold in utter shock, his eyes nearly bulging from their sockets.
He shouted furiously.
"Qi Xiezi! Let me go!!
If you don't, I'll cripple you!
Song! Wan! Níng!
AAAAHH—"
Liu Yao's mental defenses finally shattered.
He never could have imagined ending up like this.
His heart twisted in endless regret.
He never should have come!
Song Wanníng, that wretched woman—she had to die!
Liu Yao looked like a rabid beast, snarling at Qi Xiezi, but his glare never left Song Wanníng.
Song Wanníng, however, only shrugged innocently.
"What? Didn't your dear friend tell you about his little fetish? He loves breaking people while they're still conscious. Watching them fall apart bit by bit."
Her tone was light, but her expression suddenly darkened.
People like Qi Xiezi... scum like him... even death is too kind.
