Chapter 65 - Chapter 65 Sakazuki Lifts the Skull

Just as he was about to grab the wrist—

A layer of pitch-black Haki covered the area.

Enel's powerful Observation Haki immediately sensed the change.

He transformed into lightning and flashed to the side, frowning slightly.

Seeing Enel dodge, the pirate captain's ferocious grin deepened.

Then he passed Zephyr's child into his left hand, while his right hand drew the long blade from his waist.

Buzz—!

Armament Haki coated his entire arm.

Including the long blade in his hand, everything turned completely black.

He looked at Enel on the opposite side:

"You brat, come on."

Enel's expression turned serious as electricity surged from both his hands.

The golden staff softened and reshaped into two short blades resembling daggers.

Targeting the pirate captain, his figure blinked and appeared behind him in an instant.

A faint trace of lightning still lingered on the ground.

The short blade in his right hand stabbed toward the pirate captain's heart.

The left-hand blade aimed at the kidney.

Clang!

Though too late to react, the pirate captain instinctively coated half of his body with Armament Haki.

Enel's daggers struck with sparks flying off the hardened body.

The pirate captain instantly swung back with a slash, creating a deafening burst of air.

But it missed.

Szzz—!

Electric currents buzzed. Enel reappeared—

Standing atop the pirate captain's sword.

Twin blades in hand, he stabbed straight toward the captain's eyes.

The pirate captain raised the arm holding the child to block.

Clang!

Enel's twin blades struck the captain's forearm. The pirate captain grinned:

"You brat, look at this."

His eyes gestured toward the child in his left hand.

With just a slight squeeze, Zephyr's child struggled even harder.

His face flushed red, and the life force sensed by Observation Haki rapidly weakened.

Enel's expression didn't change.

The twin blades remained pressed against the captain's Armament Haki-covered forearm.

His eyes locked firmly on the pirate captain.

The captain looked mockingly at the young Marine in front of him.

His mind was already imagining a hundred different ways to torture him.

Suddenly, a flicker of light flashed through the boy's eyes—and then, endless darkness came.

A crisp voice rang in his ears:

"Thunder Blade!"

Pain surged through his forearm. Then came total numbness—then searing agony shot through his brain:

"Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!"

"Someone!!!"

"Kill that brat!!!"

The pirate captain went berserk, swinging his blade wildly in all directions.

Countless pirates charged toward the youth holding the child.

...

Just moments earlier—

Enel had locked eyes with the pirate captain, when a flash of insight struck.

He channeled power into his eyes just as the captain mockingly returned his gaze.

Electricity shot from Enel's eyes, piercing the pirate's pupils.

Then he channeled power into the two golden daggers.

With the fusion of lightning and heat, he sliced with full force—the captain's forearm flew off instantly.

Grabbing the severed arm, Enel rescued Zephyr's child and held him tightly in his arms.

With his right hand, he took the golden dagger from his left. Lightning surged once more.

The two golden daggers melted and reformed into a small version of the ark, "Admonition."

He tossed the child upward and turned into a flash of lightning.

When his figure reappeared, his hands were filled with clothes.

He laid them over the small "Admonition."

Catching the child as he fell, he gently placed him on top.

He patted the boy's small head and comforted him:

"I will come get you in a bit, okay?"

Then he pressed one hand on the "Admonition."

As electricity surged into it, the fans spun at full speed.

The craft shot into the sky, turning into a small black dot before hovering high above.

With no burdens left, Enel unleashed his full power.

Facing the charging enemies—

His entire body instantly transformed into lightning. His eyes glowed with a divine brilliance, indifferent and cold.

Power coursed into the ground like a spider's web, subtle currents spreading invisibly.

As the attackers reached him, Enel's daggers glowed with lightning.

Following the spiderweb of lightning buried in the earth, he moved his blades.

The pirates saw only a flash of blue—

Then felt their vision suddenly drop. A headless body appeared before them.

"That's… me…"

Then came the abyssal darkness.

Like wheat being harvested, pirate heads flew and bodies dropped one after another.

The advancing pirates were instantly halted.

Cold sweat poured like water over their heads—the terror was overwhelming.

Even the blinded pirate captain realized something was wrong.

All those who had just rushed forward had fallen silent.

The air was thick with the smell of blood. Damn it...

A sense of panic grew in his heart. He pinched his fingers together and brought them to his mouth.

Pwee—! Pwee—! Pwee!

Before the third urgent whistle finished—

A thunderous spear pierced through his arm and throat, sending him rolling in agony on the ground.

Boom!

The lightning spear burst through his throat and struck a pirate ship in the distance.

The ship exploded instantly and was swallowed by the sea.

Enel's glowing eyes swept the area as he floated into the air.

Endless lightning exploded from his body, striking downward like divine wrath.

In his hands, lightning spears formed and rained down.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

The almost tangible lightning spears slammed into the sea and land, causing deafening explosions.

His calm eyes flickered with lightning, overlooking all like a god passing judgment.

Soon, every pirate was dead beneath the judgment of thunder.

But Enel didn't relax—he sensed a powerful aura rapidly approaching from within the island.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Four crescent-shaped sword beams shot toward Enel in the air.

He flashed aside, elementalized, then reformed his body and looked toward the attacker.

An older man appeared, resembling the pirate captain by about sixty percent.

His clothes were disheveled. A long blade in hand, he looked as though he'd just finished something indecent.

The man scanned the area with Observation Haki—but couldn't sense his younger brother's presence.

His bloodshot eyes fixed on Enel above:

"You dared! You actually dared!!!"

"Aaaaaahhhhh!!!"

In a fury, he lost all rationality. A terrifying killing intent exploded from him like a dam breaking.

Overwhelming bloodlust and Haki crashed toward Enel.

In the air, Enel's figure wavered slightly.

The mental pressure that had just hit him—Conqueror's Haki...

Enel frowned.

This swordsman was clearly far stronger than the previous pirate captain.

He began considering how to deal with him—

Then suddenly sensed something.

His body relaxed as he dropped back to the ground. With a sneer, he looked mockingly at the swordsman.

The frenzied pirate swordsman, seeing Enel's taunting expression, let his Haki erupt.

His latent Conqueror's Haki began spreading outward.

Armament Haki surged into his hands, coating the Great Grade Sword.

His blood-red eyes glared at Enel:

"You brat, you—!!!"

BOOM!!!

A meteor-like impact struck behind the pirate swordsman.

The roar of an erupting volcano and a wave of searing heat followed.

With it came overwhelming pressure—and Conqueror's Haki.

It crushed the swordsman's newly awakened Haki with ease.

He was locked in place, unable to move.

Sakazuki's cold voice sounded from behind him:

"What were you planning to do to my boy?"

As casually as if speaking to a corpse.

Then Sakazuki's large hands clamped down on the swordsman's shoulders.

Crack!

Bones shattered audibly.

Rip!

Sakazuki ripped off both the pirate swordsman's arms and flung them into the sky.

His right foot surged with Armament Haki.

Two afterimages flickered—followed by the explosive sound of flesh being torn.

Both of the pirate's legs exploded into blood mist.

Only the upper half remained, falling from the air, caught by Sakazuki's right hand.

He passed the body to his left hand while turning the pirate's torso around.

His left hand gripped the swordsman's neck, raising him to eye level.

Sakazuki stared coldly at him. His right hand slowly reached for the top of the man's head.

It pressed against the crown—and yanked upward.

Crack!

Like opening a lid.

In the pirate's gaze, filled with infinite terror—

Sakazuki's large hand reached into his skull.

An indescribable, splitting pain surged through his brain.

Darkness swallowed everything.

Bang!
