Elara hesitated, weighing her options. But with Mira's demons holding her and the other three women watching with cold eyes, she knew she was beaten.
"Fine," she spat. "Zephyr is yours. And I swear, I won't interfere."
Mira clapped her hands together, delighted. "Excellent! I knew you'd see reason."
She turned to Seraphina and Zahra, who stood waiting with bated breath. "He's in the temple of the forgotten gods," she told them. "Go get him."
As they rushed off to rescue Zephyr, Mira smiled at Elara's defeated form. "Don't worry," she purred.
"I'll take good care of him," she said, her tone dripping with innuendo. "After all, I have so many...plans for us."
Elara shuddered, a mix of revulsion and something else in her eyes. Mira just laughed, turning to follow Seraphina and Zahra.
