After the shopping trip, Thaddeus and Kayden returned home, their bags carried upstairs by the maid.
Kayden immediately reached for his things, especially the skincare products he'd picked out so carefully. His eyes lit up as he unboxed them, already imagining the refreshing feel on his skin. Among them was a face mask sheet he couldn't wait to try.
Excited, he clutched the items to his chest and turned with a bright smile.
"Daddy, I'll go shower first," he said eagerly, already taking a step toward the bathroom.
But before he could move any further, strong arms circled his waist. Thaddeus pulled him back against his chest, his voice low and teasing against Kayden's ear.
"Sunshine… you're not inviting me to shower with you? Didn't you promise me something earlier?"
