Chapter 54 – Three Shadows Beneath One Sky

The black wave struck like an ocean wall crashing down from the heavens.

Enver barely had time to think before Elarion cut across its path, a blade of light slicing the attack into two. The blast made no sound, but it was felt — like a thousand needles piercing bone.

Beneath their feet, the dimension shifted. Land dissolved into sand, sand hardened into stone, stone melted into a sea of black. The boundary between place and no-place vanished.

Maxcen fixed his gaze upon them both. The median Morren spun slowly in his hand, weaving a new vortex of power. This time, two currents surged at once — one to restrain Elarion, the other like a shadowed spear aimed directly at Enver.

Enver tried to shield himself.

A veil of blood formed, coiling around his body like shards of radiant glass.

It was Enver's true power.

The first crack appeared as Maxcen's strike collided with it.

The second crack drove him backward.

But still, he struggled to stand. And in his eyes, something had changed.

Elarion pressed forward, channeling light that pulsed like a giant heartbeat. Each strike was aimed at the weakness Enver had discovered earlier — but Maxcen, swift and unyielding, had already sealed them. His movements sharpened, the median Morren forming twin circles that erased every opening before it could be touched.

"Stop trying to rewrite a story that has already ended," Maxcen spoke coldly, his attacks relentless.

Elarion gave no reply. His eyes only flicked toward Enver — a wordless signal.

And Enver understood. Instead of retreating, he stepped forward.

The shadow-spear of the median Morren struck the ground before him, but Enver seized the moment to unleash a slender strike — not at Maxcen himself, but at the current of energy flowing from the median.

A resounding crack echoed, like metal breaking underwater. The current of Morren faltered for a fraction of a second.

It was enough for Elarion to pierce the first line. His blade of light tore through the air, forcing Maxcen back two steps — something unseen since this eternal battle began.

The dimensions screamed. The sky itself ripped apart, spilling a blinding white radiance. A massive fracture opened, and through it… the human world was revealed.

Cities floated in the air, mountains shattered like glass, and its sky was drawn into a vast consuming vortex.

Enver gazed at it, breath faltering.

"If this continues…"

Maxcen only smiled faintly.

"Good. The faster, the better. Their world will die… and I shall rebuild it in the form it was always meant to take."

Elarion stepped forward, his body burning with light.

"As long as I stand, you will never touch that world again."

Maxcen raised the median Morren. Enver gathered what remained of his strength. And the threefold storm erupted… leaving the dimension with only seconds before collapsing entirely.

Chapter ends.
