The next day, Zane returned to the second floor of the dungeon, and this time he brought along Lucy and Grey. Ava said she had things to do, so she stayed.
They made it to the second floor and headed deep inside. Finally, a hobgoblin came rushing toward Zane.
"Alright, let's get to this," he muttered and lunged forward at top speed. The goblin slashed, and he sidestepped, dodging the rusted blade, then stabbed his dagger into its chest.
He pulled out the dagger and slashed its head clean off. He left the crystal behind for Lucy to pick up and dashed ahead.
"Grey, grind as much as you can, grow your strength," Zane said. Grey nodded and also ran after him.
Another hobgoblin came rushing toward Zane. He sidestepped and dodged it, grabbed it by the neck, tripped it, and slammed its head into the ground, shattering its skull. He looked up, and more were already rushing toward him.
