"Let me check on those little ones first," Sebi says gently, guiding Faelyn to a cushioned examination table carved from a single piece of dragonstone.
Sebi places her weathered hands on Faelyn's rounded belly, her fingers tracing delicate patterns as golden light emanates from her palms. The magic flows through Faelyn, and she can feel the babies respond with gentle movements.
"Strong heartbeats," Sebi murmurs, her eyes closing in concentration.
"Two healthy souls growing perfectly. The dragon essence from their father protects them well."
She opens her eyes and smiles. "No complications. They're exactly where they should be."
Relief floods through Faelyn "Thank you," she whispers.
Daela observes everything in the herb room with fascination. Sebi had welcomed them warmly, not suspicious about their visit at all.
