Both Faelyn and Daela share a look of surprise,
"You don't have to cover up, I know everything, you even ended up with those bad males… and they hurt you,"
The fact that Imogen is trying to pretend probably so that she wouldn't be offended makes Faelyn feel even worse, her eyes stinging with tears.
"You're not even old enough to have a mate yet, and they…" She feels the familiar fury thinking of it now, and then, she grasps Imogen's hand, squeezing firmly.
"We will never let you get hurt ever again, no matter what,"
Imogen lets out a deep breath. Her friends were doing it again, treating her like some fragile glass that is going to break easily.
She's not so fragile that she cannot endure some beatings.
Even up in the mountains, Daela had always watched her with those eyes that burned with sympathy, as if saying a wrong word will shatter the invisible glass they are threading on.
