The first thing Amendiel does as he enters the chamber is to add more wood to the large fire pit, providing more warmth to the room.
Faelyn is fast asleep, her body entangled in the fur sheets and illuminated by the firelight. Stirring a fleshy hunger in the predator that just stepped in.
Amendiel moves silently with the grace of a dragon to sit at the edge of the mattress and then leans to kiss her forehead, his lips lingering on the smooth skin.
Even in her sleep, Faelyn looks exhausted, her smaller frame emphasized by her swollen belly. Her light snores fill him with a deep sensation of peace that he doesn't wish to awaken her.
A part of Amendiel feels guilty to see his mate so tired out, while the monster in him relishes in the fact that Faelyn is already so swollen with his seed.
