Huh, that was my first reaction after hearing what elder Loon had said, I had expected results to come from having every demon family in the city searching around for her, but I hadn't expected the results to come this quickly, I couldn't help but wonder if they had already found her or they had just set their sight on a place that she had been seen at .
Either way, I was starting to think that it was a good news nonetheless, but there was something that I needed to check first, I couldn't help but get up from the bed and the second I did, my whole body made crackling sounds, I felt as if my body had been left unmoving for a few years .
" How many days have I been engrossed in my training ? .
The Elder who was this guy whom I was using his face father was a bit taken aback after hearing the crackling sounds my bones made, but I couldn't blame him the sounds were quite loud and startling, he then took a deep breath to calm himself down and said while counting on his finger :
Well you have been training for 3 straight days now, do you want me to have them prepare lunch for you, you should be quite hungry after such an intense training session, are you not ? .
I shook my head at his suggestion and thought to myself, 3 days, only 3 days and here I thought that when I opened my eyes again I would see the Demons had already began conquering this world, it seem that my sense of time had really been turned upside-down, but nonetheless this was good news, no, great news even .
I couldn't help but look at the candle that I had lit before I started training and saw that it had put itself out after it no longer have any more fuel to continue burning, thankfully I was hadn't set myself or this Mansion on fire, I would have taken the offer of Elder Loon regarding the lunch if my body still feeling hunger, but after I become a Demon, the only thing that I seem to crave is energy .
Nor to mention that I'm only mentally tired currently due to consuming my Mental Energy trying to make that door finally be forced open, 1 time finished, 8 time more to go and then I would have completed the first chapter of that Mind Nourishing Method and maybe depending on the results I would try to inspect Northern Devouring Star or practice the Mana Refining Methods I have in hand .
After I finished organizing my thoughts and even though my mind was still suffering from a strong headaches, I still turned to elder Loon who was still seem to be engrossed his own thoughts while looking at my body extensively, he stared for too much time that I couldn't help but cover up and feel a bit uncomfortable under his gaze .
Seeing me do this, he seemed to have snapped out of it at last as he said in a tone filled with pride :
Callen, what a fine man have you become, your mother would be delighted to hear about this .
" Huh, mother, do I have one, hadn't my mother died ? .
The old man in front of me turned left and right before continuing to say in a whispering tone as if afraid of being heard by someone else other than us :
Your mother was never dead, her identity just a bit confidential, due to the fact that if news spread about her and me, both of our races might rage war against one another .
Hearing Loon's words, I couldn't help but have a bad taste in my mouth and in fact hoping that I can remove this part from my memory, after all I had no interest in dealing with Callen Loon's family situation, heck, if it up to me I would have put his father to death right here and now, but it wasn't up to me sadly, I still had a use for him, not to mention that my damn conscience might actually be haunting me for the rest of my days over this .
Seeing me falling into silent, he smartly thought that I might be still waiting for him to continue talking, so he readily continued to say :
Your mother is From the Bloodlord race, she is the sister of the current Emperor Of Blood, I had kept in touch with her when you went messing, since then she hadn't responded to me at all, I hope that she is doing okay, her name is Zara, she had me promise to keep you safe and to help you rise up in ranks, yet here you managed to do this all on your own, she will be very proud and pleased about this, yes she is alive and more than well .
Hearing him say this, I almost couldn't no longer fight the urge to strike him down and wipe that damned smile off his face, but in the end I still decided to continue playing my role, I happened to have lost my memories, so that should continue to be the case in handling this situation .
I stood there without any facial expression on my face, completely emotionless towards this news, then after I saw that his smile solidified on his face, I finally said with a creepy smile on my face :
" So I have a mother and she is still alive, it's like a dream coming true, could you tell me how you are able to contact with her, she should be still staying in the Real World, shouldn't she ? .
He nodded his head and a smile started to crept on his face again, I really couldn't bear to witness this smile for any more time than this, he withdraw a heart shaped necklace that seemed to be made of silver, a special silver that was glittering weirdly, the piece strapped into the necklace was opened by him and inside there was a small line of red streak, that thing was very familiar with me, it was a Blood Link, I was sure of it .
Seeing me intently looking at the content inside the necklace, he started explaining that through this was he able to communicate with mother, but her reply would only come 4 to 5 days after, he had spent more than 6 days now calling her and trying to get an answer from here, but to no avail! There was no response, then all of a sudden he handed me the necklace and told me to take care of it .
I almost throw it back in his face, but thought that this might sound out of character and it wasn't like he was giving me a ticking bomb, it was just a necklace connected to a powerful figure from the Bloodlords race, a race capable of still going head to head with the strong Demon race, in name it wasn't a ticking bomb, but in essence,it surely was acting like one .
Not to mention that this figure was Callen's mother, the real Callen, even if there was the tiny bit of a chance to be discovered, I needed to get the chances to zero, the first thing I should do is give that damn necklace back, but it seem that this guy had completely lost interest in continue having it anymore, it might be my imagination but he seemed to be more relieved after he gave it to me .
Seeing that he had given up on it, I stored it in my bracelet and recalled what I was about to say to him before I got interrupted by him getting sentimental like this all of a sudden, I said :
" About the location of the person who I was looking for, could you tell me more ? .
He become aghast after hearing my question, then he said embarrassingly :
Well, I came here to deliver this news by the orders of the family head as for the exact details, I'm afraid that you will have to talk to him personally for more details .
He said this and I saw his retreating figure and thought to myself that things were starting to get more and more complicated, too complicated in fact that myself began to feel entrapped behind smoke like doors and there was getting out of it .
I stopped complicating things for myself, I instead focused at the serious matter at hands, which was finding clues about where my classmate was and reach her before the Demons does, else it really might be game over for all humanity on this part of the world . putting my clothes on, I stepped out of my room and happened to run into Loger and his father Drakes .
The two seeing me in the corridor, surprisingly bowed down and greeted me respectfully as the new family's heir, either they had come to terms with how things are going to be, or they were plotting something, but I had no mind to deal with them, for now .
I nodded at them, then continued to head for the Main Hall of the mansion, the place where the family head normally was, I heard a few snickers and cold snorts coming from the old guy who seem to have not been satisfied with what I offered his son to date, but this didn't matter to me much, he should be aware of the consequences if he were to ever create a problem for me .
I reached the main hall and surely enough Dorax was there waiting for me, looking at him, he seemed to have been quite concerned about something as he kept walking back and forth as if he had something on his mind troubling him .
I called for him while descending the stairs and as if someone had thrown a lifeline at him, he stopped what he was doing and appeared directly beside the stairs waiting for me to come down, as I did he start scan me over with his eyes, he kept sizing me up and down, then seeing that I wasn't losing a limb or injured at all, he finally released a breath of relief .
What were you doing, you have been staying in your room for 3 days, but nothing seemed to have changed with you, have you not started to enhance your Mana Core ? .
Seeing him so interested and concerned, I couldn't help but recall that I did indeed took a huge amount of Mana Stones for the sake of enhancing my Mana core, but here we are and he was somewhat able to tell this, I shook my head at him and said :
" I was trying the first chapter in the Mind Nourishing Method, time run out differently when I was practicing, I'm glad that only 3 days seemed to have passed .
As I finished saying this, I saw the old man look at me with a dumbfounded expression on his face, his hands too started quivering along with his voice, he said :
You managed to sense where your Divine Gate was in 3 days, just 3 days, hahaha .
The old man started to laugh like a madman after saying this, I couldn't help but wonder if my results were good or bad, so not willing to waste time, I directly asked him to tell me the answers .
After he understood my thoughts, he finally stopped laughing like crazy and he said :
In the past 100 years, you are the only person who managed to sense the location of the Divine Gate in 3 days, the least time it took someone from the family to sense that gate location was a month and that was Loger and him achieving that, allowed him to secure the position of family's hair, what you did is unheard of .
So that what was going on and here I thought that he was making fun of me or something, I couldn't help but wonder about what would his reaction be, if he were to find out that I had already sensed the location of that gate on my first try, but in the end I let go of that idea .
He was still engrossed in trying to accept the shocking news that I had brought him, so seeing that there was nothing I can do to get him to regain his senses other than beating him up to stimulate him back to reality, all I could do was to wait for him to come out of his shocked state on his own .
After a few minutes seemed to pass, he finally calmed down slightly and his face still had a smile that was even more ugly on Loon's face, then he said :
I hope that you won't try to follow the instructions in the first chapter and close the opened gate unless you are certain of your chances to unlock it again, else you might end up trapped in that weird space and you would be unable to step out of there for the rest of your life and even if you did manage to come out after staying there for a long period of time, you would go crazy .
After he finished so this, I couldn't help but look to him in the eyes and wonder if I should just kill him where he stood, he was only warning me about this now, even the notes he handed hadn't mentioned this part in the slightest, the only thought that seemed to have manged to calm me down was me thinking that he didn't consider me trying to recklessly practice the first chapter .
We both didn't manage to perceive what the other person was thinking of, also the fact that I didn't lose that much in my try a few minutes ago, I had gained quite the valuable experience which would most likely help me when I try to practice again, so in the end, I just accepted it as my fault and didn't make things difficult for him .
" My father had told me of the news, what are we waiting for, let's head there .
I know that you would say that, I had them prepare our vehicle and with your arrival, everything is ready for us to go ahead and head there .
Dorax seemed to have indeed prepared the chariot and the servants were waiting for us behind the Mansion doors, formally bowing and bidding us farewell, I didn't care about the scene in the slightest and like a hurricane, I sprinted towards the Chariot and family head Dorax was forced to catch up with me .
After we entered the Chariot, he put Mana Stones in the Chariot and powered it up, he then started to put the coordinations of the location where we will be going, then the Chariot started to move, I grow excited by the second, hoping that I would be the one to reach her before the Demons do .
