After the King Devo said this, he actually got up from his seat and got out of the Hall directly without giving me any chance of trying to provoke him any further .
He still hadn't given me his opinion on what I was about to do to the Levern Family, now that I thought about it more, I was able to recall that he actually didn't answer many of my inquires and always played it safe, my tries to provoke him all failed, but I was still not giving up yet, at least that was what I was thinking .
But now with him fleeing from this place like this, I wouldn't have a chance to keep provoking him anymore for the day at least, I didn't know whether there will be other things that might block me from challenging him for the throne, like that Demon crown prince and even the Emperor himself .
The messages that Devo mentioned made me a bit wary of directly creating a problem for Devo, after all even if I were to beat that Devo to death, the person who can crown me or dethrone me was still the Demon Emperor and no Demons can come to my aid at that time and stand in my side against such a character .
At least no one in this part, maybe in the Real World, in there I might be able to get the support of many people, Ludo's family for an example, I seemed to have become fond of that guy at some point, his mother sudden illness caused him to forget about the scam he planned and directly go back, that I can very much respect, so I hope that his mother will be okay for his sake and mine as well .
Ludo's mother came from the Spirit Race and the Spirit Race was the strongest race in that part where those guys lived, so it would be nice to forge a good relationship with such guys .
Seeing Devo leaving, his followers from the the 13 Founding Families present began to look at me for a few more seconds before they completely dispersed, before they disappeared I was able to see the fearful look that was on their faces as they looked at me and couldn't help but chuckle at that .
Surprisingly my chuckle made them even more scared and they one after the other really used some technique or some weird movement method to disperse with fearful expressions .
Leaving only 6 more Families heads and the representatives and those who accompanied either of the two, with our Dorell family excluded, there were 5, the two winged ladies, A tanned skin lady with long ears and beautiful and alluring facial features, she didn't have any to accompany here .
I wasn't able to tell whether was she a representative or was she actually the family head, she was silent from the start, but I noticed her stealing glances at me before when I was going against the king earlier .
The guy who looked like a zombie with his pale yellow complexion and behind him there was a black eyed young guy standing right behind him, the two held some resemblance to one another, so I thought they were related, maybe a father and son .
The other two were Luton who too had no one accompanying him to this meeting and the other person was Phyricos and his son, the guy standing behind him look like he was a clone of that old man .
The reason to why no one was leaving was simple, they were going to discuss what will they do and how they will need to prepare for the war that was coming, I was about to tell the family head that we should leave now, after all I want be joining such a war and surprisingly there was no need for me to do so .
Our family was exempted from paying any penalties or tax as per the emperor's decree, I noticed that the king spat this news and almost bit his tongue of displeasure at this, I couldn't help but wonder if he wasn't able to temper the message as he liked for some reason, after all who would know the truth about what went on here, most likely not someone from the Real World .
He could have increased the amount that was being paid or made all the families including us pay, but again I really couldn't help but wonder about the reason that make the Dorell family so special, no matter how hard I tried to wrap my head around it, I didn't found anything remarkable about this family other than that Mind Nourishing Method .
But was it really that precious, my interest to learn more about it was piqued earlier, but now, now it seem that I need to revaluate it in my heart and later inquire more about it from the family head, I believe that only him would be able to give an answer on this kind of matter .
But just as I stood up, a strong voice sounded from across my seat, Luton was still sitting down as before and as he saw me standing up, he said :
Young Callen, I knew you have other matters to attend to, but I hope that you will stay for a while and listen to what we all have to say, it might be to your liking, after all, you do want to become King Callen, right ? .
As his words fell, I heard a few gasps of shock being released by two or three people present, the two winged lady and the tanned women with the bit long ears and all the companions of the representatives as for the other people on the room, Phyricos, Dorax, even that corpse like guy were all just staring at Luton and me with a knowing look on their faces as if they had already anticipated that this subject will be discussed and right here and now of all times and places .
I was neutral as I heard the first half of his words, but once he dropped the second part of his words, I was a bit at loss of how to react for a while, seeing my reaction, he smiled a little and then continued to say something that shocked even Phyricos and all the other present, he said :
Anyone with a brain and a Keen insight should have been able to guess by now what your thoughts and intentions were, but there is no reason to fret much about this, you shouldn't have not been aware of this, but other than those lapdogs of his, every person here might at some point of time had the same intention as you and wanted to release us Demons from being under the authority of Monsters .
Hearing what he was saying, I couldn't help but shift my gaze towards each and everyone that were present and saw that only 4 excluding Luton nodded at me, indicating that what he said was indeed correct .
Only the two winged girls weren't nodding and I understood that they might not have an interest in becoming queens of the demon, weird, but to each his own I guess .
I still don't understand why was he bringing this and talking about it like as if it wasn't labeled as mutiny and why he thought that I was trying to free the Demons from the hold of the Monsters, something wasn't right and that resulted in making me even more wary of the conversation that was taking place .
Well, most of us here once tried at least, but we ended up losing after challenging King Devo, you don't need to be so wary, if you are worried about the ears in the walls around us, then I would like to assure you that what we are doing here was completely a legitimate right, even King Devo know this and acknowledge it, so no need for you to be so worried .
If secrecy was what you want, then I will make sure you get it .
As he finished saying this, I was once again surprised by how keen insight did the man in front of me possess, I was curious to see what he will try to do, I then sensed a disturbance in the Mana around us and then a green shimmering vail of energy formed around the whole Hall, he then said :

Hearing what he said and using my eyes to identify the magic he was using, I understood that he was indeed telling the truth and I nodded my head at him, telling him to continue saying whatever he wanted to say .
After a few seconds of staring at me intently, he said :

His inquiry was directed at the people present, this whole situation was weird to all of them, some of them had a clue of what was going on, while others were only being hit with realization now, the three guys in front of me fell into silent, Phyricos, Dorax, the corpse like guy .
The tanned girl was the only one out of all of them that nodded readily, as if she was already dreaming about this day since quite a long time, I looked at her and nodded, then returned my gaze towards the other three guys, who were expressions that were quite difficult to describe .
It looked at them and they looked at me as well, but neither sides said anything, the one who did the talking was still the person who was managing this meeting, Luton said :
So I believe that we at least agree that Callen here had the best chance out of all of us currently and you had all seen how the King always tried to ignore his blatant provocation attempts, which isn't like the King normal behavior at all, so what more do we need to trust the chances of Callen dethroning the current King .
But our mutual cooperation with you will be based on a few conditions, what do you say ? .
" I'm able to understand what you all are implying, but can I understand what kind of mutual cooperation are you thinking of first, state those conditions you mentioned and after that there will be room for talk .
Luton seemed to have already anticipated this answer of mine, that guy was much troublesome to deal with than King Devo himself, his keen insight allowed him to understand where to press forward and when it was time for him to retreat and that keen insight and mind of his made him a mighty opponent, but that only if I indulged in a battle of wit with him .
I had no intention in doing that, I had the upper hand here, so if his terms weren't good for me, I won't find any problem to refuse his so-called cooperation, strength was why he think that I'm able to dethrone King Devo and strength what forced all of them before to accept my actions earlier, so I really wasn't that much worried .
Even if all of this was nothing but a trap by Devo, I would still be able to break free or maybe even take that as a chance to show him why the flowers were red .
I looked at Luton and waited for his response, but the guy seemed to be using some weird way of communicating with the other people present, he seemed to be asking about the terms they want to include in the agreement they wanted to make with me, I can tell that they were quite a lot .
Just by how long did that guy took in discussing them with all of them, I sat again in my seat and felt the gaze of someone upon me, it was more than one too, the guys who were looking at me with envy and something else that was unfamiliar to me were three of the guys that were accompanying the representatives here .
I paid those guys a glance and forgot about them, I wasn't trying to be arrogant, but since they were only looking without saying a word, then there was no point for me to be the one initiating contact, not to mention that Luton seemed to have finished discussing with the other family heads about what they wanted from me, he said :
Well, the terms are like this, we would support you and ally ourselves with the Dorell family and will support you financially as well and will stand by your side when you triumph over King Devo, I believe that you are smart enough to understand what I mean by getting to your side .... .

I was already on a tight schedule and those guys seemed to have free time to use in chatting here, so I stated this clearly to tell them that .
The moment my words fell, the scene instantly turned to silent, but then Luton began to laugh his heart out, I didn't grasp the meaning behind his laughter, but fortunately he clarified the reason himself, he said
It's always good to deal with smart people like you, actually we were discussing about how might we reward you after this is over, but now that we know what you like, you made it easier for us .
What we want was for you to revoke the Binding Contract that we signed with the Demon Emperor, you would be required to enter a Binding Contract with us and this will be set as the ultimate condition, we will also agree to the terms that you might want to add and there will be a more thoroughly discuss about that later since you seemed to be in quite the hurry, what do you think ? .
