The group of what i presumed to be bandits stood in their place, but one thing was certain, they were nervous, so much nervous , even to the point that their shaken bodies were beginning to send numerous vibrations my way .
Whoever was the new guys who came, there mere arrival caused the guys in front of me to be worried, horrified even .
Their so-called comrade of their current state might have also played a big role in whatever they were currently feeling .
But if i remembered correctly, that guy from before said that there was a curfew of some kind being issued here and it was most certainly linked to me .
So these guys might be actually the legitimate acting authority around here and they were patrolling the area looking for me .
From the obvious reactions of these guys that were now completely nervous and i believe shocked to the core, i was able to easily come up with not so few amount of conclusions .
For start, that group of guys acting as the police were stronger than even those S Rank guys in front of me this conclusion of mine was easily put together purely on the premise of how easy was taking down one of those S Rank bandits in front of me with ease , the sound of the hovering wings assured me of them being more than one or two .
I don't know why i once again was reminded of that Scar , but at least it was still somehow believable, since that guy was just an A Rank figure not to mention that he was a direct subordinate of that crown prince , but here in Diblosia the bandits on the road were actually S Rank and from the looks of it they held not that much of power near influence here , so might not be even consider a someone grand here .
I can't help but wonder to why not much monsters, ones that were capable of flying participate in the monsters raid, weird .
Anyhow, another conclusion that i was able to make is that those guys who were looking for me were a bunch that you don't normally want to meddle with.
I was able to infer that from the way they domineering acted, i was now beginning to believe that either they were tyrants or maybe fair .
Those were the only two possibilities that came to my mind which could explain the reason to why the lawless gang like the one in front of me would act like this .
I held no remorse for neither of the two parties in front of me, since my opinion on both of them were quite bad, one was just about to kill me as for the other for now i held some reservations against the way they were acting and i didn't forget that their kingdom was labeled as a Dark kingdom, a title that left too little to imagine about what was going on in that kingdom, so that could have affected my impression as well .
For now i had no intention to stop whatever that was going to happen next, i will be acting as a spectator to whatever might be unfolding next , a blind yet aware of my surrounding one .
I heard a few thuds sounds on the ground, and i already understood what was going on since Obsidian Armor helped together with my new enhanced senses in completely conveying whatever that was happening as long as it was on the ground .
I believe that the lawless guys where beginning to kneel on the ground, their bodies were still shuddering as before, but it felt like they all understood what they needed to do to get pass this obstacle .
As if they were already accustomed to deal with this kind of situations and it shows from how all of them tacitly agreed to act like this, without even having to say a word to each other in unworldly tacitly understanding , they just choose to surrender now that the were to some extent aware of how severe the situation they were are on, at least i believed so .
They all decided to submit as they believed that to be the best course of action, the guy before must have been a new recruit or the guy who shot him wasn't really from the patient type .
Anyway, the moment those guys surrendered like this, i expected someone from the patrolling guys to come down and capture them, after all they were criminals and they were caught breaking the law, right ?.
But that didn't come to place, instead i heard a few more hovering sounds on top of me and surprisingly felt as if someone landed on my shoulder, i was still steadily standing there still fully cloaked and still acting as before, but i can't say the same for the currently kneeling guys on the front .
Their trembling increased even more at what had just happened, but their minutes of horror were cut short with the reassuring words that their supposed leader said, he was the only person in the group that his vibration readings were steady as before .
He said : Just stay down, you guys in 10 or so, everything here will be quite sorted out, losing Lorg is sad, but this just show how deep of a trouble were we in, one that i find it quite hard to believe but sadly we actually brought it out on ourselves .
The guy or at least i believe him to be a male currently left him to finish and said with a quite sarcasm and genuine amusement in his tone :
Mind telling me why do you believe that it will all work out well for all of you guys, you don't really believe that you will be able escape with all your lives intact, do you ? .
The voice was definitely a masculine voice, so the chances of him being a male increased even more, that was the only remark that i can currently say to have about this guy who was currently standing on my shoulder like a parrot other than the fact that from how the things were going, he seem to be pretty much enjoying this .
Am i allowed to speak, honorable ones ? , said the gang leader as if trying not to make them feel offended and not to end up as that Lorg he just mentioned .
Go ahead, amuse me , was the answer he got from the guy on my shoulder who i found myself labeling him as the leader of this law enforcement group at least from how only he was being the one to talk .
The gang leader cleared his throat and began saying :
I have no hatred nor any enmities with any of you kind sirs, but in complete contrast, i found myself adoring you even more for how you want to keep our kingdom s.... .
Before he finish his sentence, he was cut off midway his glorifying speech by the attack from someone other than the guy on my shoulder and what made me sure that it was an attack was actually the horrendous scream that escaped the mouth of the gang leader .
It was actually so loud and too difficult to bear by the other gang members, so they kept their faces on the ground and whatever amount of relief and hope that had just washed over them a minute ago leading to a short but an effective burst of confidence utterly and completely crumbled at the shout of their suffering boss .
Arrrgggghh .
After theclear show of strength that left the said gang leader licking his wounds while screaming in agony repeatedly, the guy on my shoulder resolutely began to say : When i told just now to speak your mind, i only said that so to know what kind of amusement were you guys going to give me, but if you believe that you can get away from this trouble with merely using words, i'm sorry to tell you that if you really believed that flattery might help you here, then my only answer to you will be, Die , kill him .
The moment he gave the order, i heard a few more hovering sounds, but a lot fainter than before all making their way towards the said gang leader .
DORELL , the moment that the gang leader spouted that word, it was as if something had changed in the atmosphere, but the thing that was most shocking was the next order of the leader of the law enforcement group .
Stop and retreat , that was the order which he gave to all the guys that were just about to attack and finish the gang leader off, stopping all of them and ordering them to get back in position .
The silence filled the air with no sounds or voices other than the huffing voice of the gang leader who was still suffering from his recent injury, but this silence was only maintained for merely 4 to 5 seconds, before the law enforcement group's leader broke it with a question that was currently quite difficult for him to ignore .
He said weirdly and in a bit more discipline tone : What is your relation with that name, you just mentioned and be aware that whatever you are going to claim, you will certainly have enough evidence to support that claim if yours, i don't need to remind you what was at stake here, do i ? .
The gang leader coughed a little blood from his mouth, i wasn't sure of whether was it out of anger, or just a declaration of how severe the attack just now affected him and i don't care to find out either, after he regained some of his balance he for the first time stood from the ground and said :
I'm a DORELL'S family member, an illegitimate son of one of the 13 founding families of this kingdom, we are only under the direct jurisdiction of King Devos and one of those who came from we both know where in the last batch .
Whatever he just said was enough to shock the bird guy on my shoulder almost to the point of losing his balance, especially at the last part, his body shook slightly at that last piece of information that the gang leader gave, he stayed silent for a few minutes as if trying to process and assess the current situation in front of him, a few minutes later he finally made his mind and said in a commending tone :
If what you just said was true, then show your identity badge and mark , i believe you know how the process is done , all of you close your eyes , the guy issued a sudden order that left the gang member unresponsive for awhile as they weren't aware of whether they should do the same or not and quite afraid to incite these guy's wrath anymore, but luckily for them the confusion didn't stay for long .
All you guys need to close your eyes as well, the gang leader said to his followers, having them completely shutting their eyes .

The moment he finished saying this, i was very curious about what was about to happen next, but i still decide not to open my eyes and stay in my place as before .
In the end, i thought that whatever the secret they were revealing to be unworthy of taking such a risk and couldn't help but wonder, why both of them asked their two groups to close their eyes, weren't there still the threat or possibility of someone hearing what they about to say .
I was wrong in thinking that they were no other countermeasure on their hands that could be able stop this from ever happening .
Since i was able to feel a change in the atmosphere around me, as if something were just being silently unleashed around the area, i wasn't aware of what was going on exactly but i did believe that there was something fishy going around currently .
The scene turned into stillness with even the hovering sounds of the rest of guys on the air disappearing completely, but i was still certain that they were still in the air .
The conversation that was about to took place, didn't, or if i'm not wrong it did occurr, but silently and under no possibility of surveillance or some prying eyes existence whatsoever, but from the vibration under the ground beneath me, i was to some point able to see the actions of the gang leader faintly, enough to be able to make some judgment of what he was doing .
The gang's leader few movements were still sending feedback through the ground to me, so i was able to see him pulling something out of what i presumed to be his clothes or some hidden place in it near his chest , a medallion of some sort .
And i was able to tell how excited that bird guy on my shoulder seemed to be at witnessing the appearance of that medallion, he was quite excited to the point of not even staying still anymore, as he wasted no time and directly landed from my shoulder on the ground and headed straight towards that gang leader enthusiastically .
Unaware of that by doing what he just did, he was now too under the effect of the cognitive ability of my Obsidian Armor skill .
I was able to get a few more details about this guy and confirm one of my previous thoughts as well , he was a male alright and from the impact he had and the vibrations he was making while walking towards the gang leader gave me a few new conclusions about what am i dealing with here .
His vibrations were strangely so small but enough to relay some useful information about the guy currently standing opposite to the gang leader from before .
His height was a lot shorter than any of the 10 lawless guys, if i'm not wrong he also had wings and quite wide ones too, at least that what the vibrations that they were making on the ground were telling me .
He raised his hand and the medallion appeared in his hand and he began to check it out left and right, completely going through it without much of a haste, more like with utmost care .
He then returned the medallion back to its owner and actually knelt down on the ground one time before getting up and personally returned the medallion .
I thought silently in my mind that he already confirmed his identity that way, the gesture of him kneeling was at least enough to understand that by having that medallion he was really as he previously claimed a son of a noble family around here .
But the weird atmosphere around me was still there and hadn't been lifted still, i couldn't help but wonder about what could they possibly still need it for and why such a process of checking up the authenticity of that medallion required for all the people present to close their eyes and whatever the thing that was used to cover the sound in the surrounding area .
With that thought of mind, i tried to see if i'm able to see what exactly were they doing when suddenly my actions came to an immediate halt and the reason was related to me beginning to sense something familiar , but it kept slipping from my mind where did i felt such a familiar aura .

I suddenly felt the vibration of something dropping like water droplets on the floor making a ticking sounds, i was certain that it it was blood dripping from the gang leader hand, since he was closer to the droplets than the other guy and what made me sure that it was blood was the way it felt heavier than water .
Then out of nowhere, a new set of vibrations were coming from the back of the gang leader and those vibrations were beginning to become louder and louder, as if something was about to be summoned here all of a sudden, then it just disappeared as if it never existed in the first place, all the previous vibrations completely disappeared and stopped .
But my eyebrows couldn't help but twitch a bit at what i just witnessed happening and i suddenly remembered where that familiar feeling that i had felt previously came from .
The aure that suddenly permitted the air came simultaneously with a crushing and untamed momentum, enough to remind of where did i encounter something similar to this, during my previous encounter with that Bloodlord from before .
But that guy said that he was from the Real World, so how could it be that someone from this world be having the same aura like him, unless the two were from the same place .
Right, how can i possibly forget about the words that this gang leader said earlier, he did say, one of those who came from we both know where in the last batch , so there's no much about it, that guy might have also came from the Real World as that Bloodlord, now that i keenly noticed that aura a bit more, i can absolutely judge it to be steming from the same origin as the one used by the Bloodlord with a quite few differences between the two .
The one that was shown by the Bloodlord, have a more pressure and more corporal form to it, but from the sudden disappearance of the aura in front of me, i can tell that it dissipated the moment that it was about to take form, i believe it be much weaker than the one that was shown by the Bloodlord, other than that i believe the two to be quite similar in essence .
And that could only mean that both of those guys stemmed and originated from the same place, the so-called Real World .
So that could only mean that the Demons that the Bloodlord had mentioned previously was actually referring to those guys .
At these thoughts of mine, i find it hard to able to stay balanced as before out of the currently speeding thoughts of mine .
Some of those thoughts were related to the connection between those guys in Diblosia and their mutual relation with Blazan, these new shocking discoveries could only mean that without an ounce of doubt, he too came from the Real World and i don't even need to doubt that he might be one who came here in one of those previous batches, he could have been even one of those who came in here on the first batch .
And some of the other thoughts of mine was beginning to wonder about, what could this possibly mean, since if these guys were already able to settle down here like this, then they most likely have likely came here with a sole purpose on all of their minds and that purpose was surly to find the whereabouts of the Shard and get their hands on it .
I can't help but find my train of thoughts going back to the scene of the blue gigantic creature eating Stars as if they were popcorn, till this moment i find it hard to believe that something like this existed .
Here, people are fighting for any chance of Hagemony, unaware that they in the end a snack or even less than a snack to an even bigger fish in the sea, if those guys saw what i saw above the sky, would they still be going out of their way to snatch, kill, steal in the pursuit of their desires and ambition .
Or would they decide to see if they could just live in coexistence and harmony and just praying that they don't ever catch the attention of any bigger fish in the sea , at least one that can't obliterate them in a blink of an eye .
There is a third option that i'm more than entitled to go up with and that will be probably be losing all faith and determination to continue going further, falling into complete despair , since in the end why bother, aren't we all in the end small fishes on a plate for the stronger fish, working so hard to achieve your dreams would be quite meaningless when you know that your exitance is nothing but a mere snack on those bigger fish's plate, why bother indeed, just allow yourself to despair .
Complete despair at how unjust this world, this whole reality is .
