Nash had just come out of the locker rooms after three hours of intensive drills when his phone started vibrating in the pocket of his joggers. He sat down on the parking lot steps to answer. The name "Pinkie" appeared on the screen, and he knew exactly who it was.
"Hello?"
"H… hello? Nash? It's Chloé. Well, you know that, it's written on your screen, it's stupid to say it, I…"
Her voice was tiny; she sounded like she was hiding at the back of a closet. Nash leaned back against the railing, a little more relaxed.

She sniffled.
