The black Porsche glided through the empty tunnels, moving toward the secure part of the Spires. Nash had just left the arena after talking with the girls. Now, it was just him and Victoria in the car. The dashboard gave off a soft orange glow that lit up their faces in the dark.
Victoria just sat there in the passenger seat, staring straight ahead at the walls rushing past them. Meeting Alexia in the hallway earlier had messed with her. She wasn't acting like her usual cold self tonight. After the intimate time she and Nash shared the night before, her walls had completely crumbled and it felt like for the first time in her life, everything could just reach her.
Nash kept his eyes on the road, but he could feel how heavy the silence was. He knew she had something on her mind. He slowly let off the gas, slowing the car down so he could actually listen to her.
"You are very quiet, Victoria," Nash said. "Did that match really shake you up that much?"
