The crowd watching was split into two very distinct sides now.
One half stood there with skeptical disbelief written all over their faces.
To them, there was no way this could be true.

Impossible. Absolutely impossible. They were convinced there had to be some misunderstanding going on.
"There's no chance in hell." one whispered, shaking his head.
"She must mean something else, right? Like...symbolically?"
"Yeah, like she's calling him little brother in a friendly way. There's no way they're actually related."
A few of them, of course, were just plain jealous.
Because if what Astrid was saying was true—if Mika really was her brother—that meant he had grown up with her, lived under the same roof as her, and been part of the same family as the Battle Angels themselves.
