Mika let out a slow breath and finally turned to face the rest of the lab, realizing belatedly that he hadn't even greeted Charlotte's team yet. He gave them a short bow of his head, his tone even.
"Sorry about earlier, seniors. I barged in here, shouting orders, telling you what to do without even a proper greeting. I'm the junior here, yet I didn't respect that...Forgive me."
One of the girls, a tall one with her hair tied back in a neat braid, smiled despite the tension that had just passed.
"There's no need to apologize, Mika. Really. If anything, we should be the ones apologizing. We're supposed to be your seniors, the ones guiding you, but the moment something went wrong, we completely lost our composure and left everything in your hands...That's embarrassing."
Mika's lips curved into a small smile at her honesty.
