Mika groaned, dragging a hand down his face.
"Gods...I didn't think about that. I only wanted to make sure they never repeated what they did. They crossed a line, so I made sure they remembered it forever."
"And they did." Charlotte tilted her head, smiling faintly. "Along with the entire academy."
Mika sighed. He remembered. He remembered all too well. At the time, he'd thought it was the perfect punishment, brutal, humiliating, but unforgettable. But he hadn't anticipated that he'd be the one branded with the aftermath.
He shot her a sideways look, his voice low. "If I'd known it'd stick this badly, I wouldn't have done it."
She grinned wider. "No, you would have. Because you're evil, Mika. Who else but you would come up with something so...creative? Forcing people to eat until the level dropped? That's diabolical. I mean..." She laughed softly. "...it's almost admirable."
He rolled his eyes. "I was forced to act. I didn't want to do it, but they left me no choice."
