The black van pulled up to a tall building, at least ten floors located in Zone 12. Inside the van was Vincent and Kaegan, with one of Kaegan's men behind the wheel.
"Is this the place?" Vincent asked, shooting a glare at Kaegan who was still holding his broken arm and grunting in pain.
"Yeah, this is one of the Triad main buildings. I swear if they were holding your girl, it would be here," Kaegan said
"Listen man, I swear I wouldn't have accepted the contract if I knew it was someone like you. Please let me go to the hospital," he added.
"Shut the fuck up," Vincent replied, "How do I know you didn't lie to me?"
"I promise you man, I'm not even a part of the Triad. I don't care whatever happens to them, please just let me go," he cried, with literal tears falling from his eyes.
"Please have mercy on my boss," the driver added, his voice trembling, almost in tears himself.
"Shut the fuck up! Did I ask you to beg for me?!" Kaegan screamed at him, before turning back to Vincent, "please, I beg of you just let me go,"
Vincent turned his eyes to the building, saying nothing. Two men in black were guarding the entrance, and a few others were scattered around. The place definitely looked suspicious.
"Fine," he finally muttered, stepping out of the van. "Thanks for your help."
They didn't even wait for him to finish before speeding off.
"Bastards," Vincent sighed, turning his attention back to the building.
'The security around this place looks pretty tight, I can't just run in and start swinging blindly… first, I need to scope out the area and confirm Sarah is actually here'
Vincent did just that, he surveyed around the building, watching people go in and out for a few minutes before coming up with a plan.
Meanwhile, back in the office, Madame Freya was starting to worry. She paced the room impatiently.
"Still no word?" she asked.
James, her handsome blonde bodyguard, replied respectfully, "Nothing yet, ma'am."
In the corner, Sarah sat tied up, crying.
"Can't you find something to shut her up? She's getting on my nerves," Freya snapped.
"Sure thing," James said, just as the lights in the office suddenly went out.
"What the hell?" Freya muttered.
"Stay calm, ma'am. I'll check what's going on," James said before leaving the room and returning shortly.
"It looks like the whole building lost power. I've sent some guys to activate the backup generator. The lights should be back in five minutes,"
Vincent peeped at the entrance from the side of the building, the first phase of his plan was complete. Cutting out the power wasn't too difficult, now he just had to find a way inside the building.
With the power now gone, even the men at the entrance needed flashlights to see clearly but due to his improved sight, Vincent could still see as clear as day.
'maybe I can find an opportunity to sneak in…'
Soon enough he saw an opening and managed to quietly slip in. He maneuvered his way through the first floor unnoticed, finally making it to the stairs. There were a few men but probably because of the fact they weren't expecting anyone to sneak in, they didn't pay much attention.
'so far, so good' he looked up at all the stairs
The stairway looked empty but he still couldn't let his guard down
"Hey! Who the hell are you?" Someone asked from behind him,
Vincent felt his heart drop out of his body as the man suddenly flashed his light at him but he knew he absolutely couldn't get discovered so he reacted quickly, charging at the man and tackling him to the ground before anyone could notice.
Another one of the men rushed to the stairway, taking a quick sweep with his flashlight.
"What's going on?" someone else asked.
"I thought I heard something," the first man replied, climbing the stairs to investigate.
"You sure?" the second man followed behind.
Vincent, now hidden under the stairwell, exhaled in relief as the flashlights moved away. He had one hand firmly clamped over the mouth of the man he'd tackled.
"Don't make a sound, or I'll break your face," he whispered.
"I'm looking for a girl. Do you know where she is?"
The man nodded frantically. Vincent loosened his grip.
"U-Upstairs... first floor... in the Madame's office…"
"Good. Let's go."
Vincent forced the man up the stairs ahead of him. Halfway through, the power came back on.
"Shit," Vincent muttered.
To make matters worse, the two guards from earlier were now heading down the stairs—they were just a floor above.
"Hey! There's an intruder down here!" Vincent's captive suddenly screamed.
The two men rushed toward them.
"Who the fuck are you? How did you get in here?" one of them demanded, charging.
With no other choice, Vincent shoved his captive forward. The man slammed into the guard, knocking both of them to the ground.
The second guard was already on his walkie-talkie. "There's an intruder in the stairway!"
Vincent considered fighting, but with his position now exposed, more enemies were sure to come. He had to move.
He burst out of the stairwell—only to find two more men heading straight for him, knives in hand.
"Fuck!"
There was nowhere to run.
Then he spotted a fire extinguisher on the wall.
Without hesitation, he hurled it at them. It hit one square in the face, knocking him out cold and distracting the second just long enough.

Vincent didn't waste the opening. He delivered a devastating punch, using every ounce of strength he had. The impact sent the man spinning in the air before crashing unconscious to the floor.

Even Vincent was shocked by his own strength—but there was no time to think.
Behind him, the stairwell door slammed open again. More gangsters came pouring out, weapons drawn.
He sprinted down the hallway, heading for the elevator at the end. He slammed the button for the top floor. The doors were closing as the men got dangerously close.
The last thing he saw before they shut was a wave of angry faces charging toward him.
