Chapter 196 - Chapter 196: The Idea

Angron seemed fully prepared as he immediately stood up and took the speaker's seat at the oval table, beginning his eloquent presentation. "This month, our Angron Workshop has handled a significant treatment volume, fully demonstrating our new operational approach and our contributions to the Healing Hand Clinic."

"It's evident that team-based treatment far surpasses the efficiency of the clinic's previous solo potion maker model. This has also been reflected in other teams within the clinic. Additionally, our team has compiled a treatment guide for common curses encountered at the clinic this month, along with relevant potion purchasing channels."

A smile played at Angron's lips. "If any junior colleagues present require it, we'd be happy to share this guide with you."

"After all, we're all part of the same clinic—we should help each other."

Angron turned to Wizard Edwin, Wizard Derrick Jones, and another Formal Wizard, saying, "Three mentors, I believe our clinic should produce some guideline-type manuals. Our workshop would be very willing to take on the task of compiling these manuals."

"Our workshop has sufficient personnel to handle both the busy treatment workload and the compilation of guidelines simultaneously."

"This would significantly enhance our clinic's treatment efficiency in the future."

Angron's eyes gleamed. Originally, he wouldn't have needed to go this far—with the large team of senior and junior colleagues in the Angron Workshop, he could easily monopolize the outstanding and excellent healer quotas.

But due to Locke's team's sudden rise, he had to find another approach. By organizing guidelines, he aimed to surpass Locke's team in terms of influence within the clinic.

Fortunately, he still had the advantage in manpower.

As part of the group meeting, Angron wasn't just reviewing and summarizing the past month's work but also planning for the future and fielding questions from the First Class Wizard Apprentices and Formal Wizards present.

This was a form of brainstorming.

A way to pool collective wisdom.

Of course, given Angron's status, no First Class Wizard Apprentice would dare to actually question him during the meeting.

Only Wizard Edwin frowned, looking at Angron with confusion. "Angron, your idea about compiling guidelines is excellent."

"But your team likely doesn't have extensive treatment plans for the clinic's common curses and diseases. How will you create the guidelines? Although your workshop has many members, most aren't permanent Potionology Assistants at the clinic—they lack actual clinical experience. Do you really have the qualifications to formulate guidelines?"

Angron pursed his lips, thought for a moment, and replied, "Yes, Master Edwin. That's precisely what I wanted to propose at this meeting. I'd like to request that everyone share their treatment data with our workshop. This way, we can help compile treatment guidelines for the entire clinic."

Wizard Edwin's frown deepened.

He actually disliked Angron quite a bit, but Angron's Wizard Mentor was Harun Vera, one of the most powerful academic figures in Lilith's Cottage, whose influence even surpassed that of Madam Morgana.

Even if he didn't care about the monk, he had to consider the Buddha behind him.

Therefore, Wizard Edwin didn't press Angron too hard on this matter. If it had been his own student proposing such a rude, opportunistic idea that sought to reap all the benefits without effort, he would have scolded them mercilessly.

But Angron had Harun Vera's protection. If Edwin dared to treat Angron harshly, given Harun Vera's notoriously protective nature, his students might face undue difficulties in passing exams like the Potionology Assistant exam or the Breeder exam in the future.

Even worse, his future students' applications for project assistance from the academy might be inexplicably rejected for various reasons. Thus, Edwin forcibly suppressed the urge to confront Angron directly and only offered a few sarcastic remarks instead.

Wizard Edwin said, "Angron, you certainly have your own ideas."

"Your idea is quite good, but this task can easily be shared among your workshop and the other Potionology Assistants in the treatment center. Let me assign it then."

"Of course, this was your idea to begin with. We'll all remember that. An [idea] is the most valuable thing. But no matter how precious an idea is, it still requires someone to execute it properly—otherwise, it remains just an idea."

Next, Wizard Edwin read out some names from the list.

Those whose names were called couldn't help but smile slightly.

Angron frowned faintly. Though dissatisfied, he didn't dare to openly oppose a Formal Wizard. While he hadn't achieved his goal, it wasn't a complete loss either.

Angron said to Wizard Edwin, "Thank you for your guidance, Master Edwin."

Wizard Edwin nodded indifferently. "Next."

"Who will speak now?"

At this, the group around the oval table fell silent. The Potionology Assistants who had been eager to speak earlier now kept their mouths shut.

In their eyes, if even Angron had been reprimanded by Edwin, their own proposals would surely pale in comparison. Speaking up now would only invite harsh criticism from Wizard Edwin.

Many Potionology Assistants remained silent, heads bowed, afraid that Wizard Edwin might call on them next.

Wizard Edwin frowned slightly. "Why the sudden silence? Honestly."

"You lot are truly disappointing. Since your mentors have sent you to the treatment center, the least you could do is take things seriously."

Wizard Derrick Jones chuckled and said, "Edwin, you're too strict. You've scared these youngsters."

His eyes then shifted to Locke. "Locke, you'll be the next to speak."

Wizard Edwin thought for a moment and also turned to Locke. "Perfect. You can summarize your team's work in the treatment center this month and outline your future plans."

Wizard Edwin said, "The higher-ups at the academy have urged our treatment center several times to assist you in promptly initiating the third-phase trials of the Bear Spirit Emerald Bile Potion. Animal trials, trials on ordinary humans, and trials on wizard apprentices can proceed simultaneously."

Edwin then turned to Angron and continued, "Actually, the most pressing matter now isn't drafting guidelines. If the broad-spectrum therapeutic effect of the Bear Spirit Emerald Bile Potion is fully verified, those guidelines would become redundant."

"The treatment center's success rate would see a significant increase, the margin for error among Potionology Assistants would widen, treatment costs would decrease, and your incomes would consequently rise somewhat."

"After all, treatment fees—those can't possibly be reduced."

Angron's expression darkened. His worst fear had come to pass. He had worried that even if he proposed the guideline concept during the group meeting, it still wouldn't measure up against the broad-spectrum therapeutic effects of the Bear Spirit Emerald Bile Potion.

'Damn it, I should have taken on the Magic Plant Curse resolution task myself back then. Even if I couldn't solve it, that would've been better than handing this resource over to that Augustine,' Angron thought bitterly.

A flash of envy and resentment crossed Angron's eyes. 'How can I ensure I win this year's Outstanding Healer title at the treatment center?'

The competition among the academy's Wizard Seeds was intensifying, as they vied for higher honors and rewards.

Given how closely matched their innate talents were, the key to breaking through lay in the quality, quantity, and direction of their current projects—along with the papers they could publish and the accolades they could secure as a result.

This was precisely why Angron placed such importance on the Outstanding Healer reward. Not only would the Swarm Consciousness Potion help him rapidly increase his Mana, giving him an edge over other Wizard Seeds in that regard.

More crucially, his Mental Strength Enhancement Potion project had been stalled without any decisive breakthroughs. If this continued, he would struggle to secure investments and grants.

He needed to obtain the Swarm Consciousness Potion to examine samples of more advanced mental strength enhancement potions, which could in turn benefit his own project.

Faced with the requests from the two Formal Wizards, Locke chose to agree. After all, it was just a matter of speaking in front of everyone.

Especially since he currently had a halo around him—the way most people in the group meeting looked at him was nearly the same as how they regarded Angron.

Their gazes were filled with admiration and reverence.

Locke stood up, walked forward, and took his seat at the speaker's position.
