Theo couldn't stop gazing at Daisy as she sat on the sofa in his office room.
Instead of resting at home, Daisy insisted that she could follow him to the office so as not to delay his work.
He looked back at the document under his hand and sighed. "Ah… what should I do?"
Miles was still not calling him back, and he had thought of every possibility that could come after this, including the Old Man Kennedy using Thomas as leverage to threaten Daisy.
Theo's hand tightened on the pen, his brows furrowing deeper.
"Theo…" Daisy called softly, but he didn't respond, too occupied with the storm in his head.
"Theo?" she tried again. This time, she stood up and walked to his desk, leaning forward and waving her hand in front of his face.
Only then did he blink, snapping out of his daze. His gaze shifted up to her, a little startled. "Ah… is there something wrong?" he murmured, voice low, as though he had just been pulled back from somewhere far away.
