I was a bit surprised. Not because he had gifted me with flowers out of nowhere but… because I was amazed at how he had gotten his hands on tulips, which were spring flowers, during summer.
“Where did you get them?”
“I went to the city.”
“To buy these?”
“I told you I found them on the ground.”
“Aha…”
“Since it’s cold up in the North, tulips bloom during summer. Although, it’s difficult to raise them because of the wide range in daily temperature, the gramps at the flower shop was quite skilled.”
“I thought you found them on the ground.”
Rexid talked back, his lips smiling and veins popping out on his forehead.
“I meant that I picked up what the gramps at the flower shop threw out.”
