Chapter 81
“Thank you, Your Highness.”
“No, well… you don’t have to thank me.”
“I do, it is an honor to be the first woman to clean your room. I almost had all of my fingernails ripped out.”
Even as I was being sarcastic because I wasted so much valuable time in front of the door, being the fool he was, Rexid didn’t understand.
At least, I had finally passed the first hurdle. With a duster and mop in one hand and a bucket full of water in the other, I waddled into Rexid’s room.
“Give that to me.”
Huh? Did it look like I was carrying too much? Before I could refuse, Rexid snatched the bucket from my left hand.
‘What’s wrong with this man?’
I was dumbfounded by the unexpected, kind gesture. I had assumed that as soon as I entered, he would go sit in the corner and keep his eye on me until I finished cleaning…
“I-I can hold it. Please give it to me.”
“It’s heavy. Where should I put it?”
